It's a major piece that encourages the idea of indoctrination on Shepard, whether people say "Well it was optional non-canon DLC!" or not.

Hey! I posted the vision from arrival which shows Harbinger and Shepard's helmet and possibly the beam from london
Need to go back and record it with fraps, those images are a bit blurry...
Oh I didn't mean it wasn't productive now, just that back in the day the thread was so much more full of life and discussion. I meant no offense by it
And I do think everything in Arrival is extremely important to Mass Effect 3 because, if I'm not mistaken, it was the last thing the team made before Mass Effect 3, and is the last cronological event before Mass Effect 3 (atleast for Shepard). (Edit: fixed me destroying the quotes.)

So, what happens if you take a bunch of screenshots of the object rho "vision" from arrival?
Well:

There's lots of places where there's 1-2 frames of various things - have a look!
Nice catch and holy crap is that the control device thingy or did Harbinger put on some weight? That vision happens so fast, good to see some stills for analysis.
I'm not sure, this is just off a 720p youtube clip - if someone's got a better quality copy we might be able to see more...

Has anyone noticed that as we get closer to the SP endgame within MP that the difficulty levels have gotten a bit harder, evacs take longer (sans the penalty we just got.) and the Galactic Readiness has progressively dropped percentage points faster?
I can solo Bronze, but the enemy seems to be more numerous and a little tougher.
GR used to drop a point or two in 12 hours and no more than 3 in 24 hours. Now it can drop 3% in 8 hours... I haven't timed it exactly, but it definitely falls much faster than it did a few months ago.
I've never reached 100%

Completely agree. They have stated though (yes, Bioware themselves) that it is definately cannon. It's also the last time in the series you speak to Harbinger who can be argued to be the main villain of the series. Unless of course you consider that to be indoctrination itself

Well in that case we can pretty much consider it the direct prelude to Mass Effect 3, with continuation of themes and enemies, which strangely only remains if you consider indoctrination to be the major theme of the series.

Uh NO. Mass Effect is Mac Walter's first major Mass Effect work, he was a writer on the team.
Mac Walters was LEAD writer for the first time wth The Arrival.

I think that's what he meant, or atleast that's what I thought he meant. His point remains though, it's the first time he had the ability to fully direct the themes of the series, which just happens to be when the indoctrinated became the major enemy.

Main Antagonists.
ME1 = Saren + Sovereign + Indoctrination
ME2 = TIM (Trusting enemies) + Harbinger + Indoctrination
ME3 = Indoctrination + eventually a fleet of Reapers give or take a few.

...um, that's exactly what I meant. That Arrival is where he has likely had the most say, for the first time.
ME2 feels like a joint Drew/Mac (etc) work, where Arrival does not.

...Choose Wisely is SUCH a good video and inspires me about this series every time I see it.
My whole stance on Mass Effect is 'fingers crossed' now. They better not truly think that synthetics vs organics or even dark energy are satisfactory plot devices for a series that had the progression it has had thus far.
Fear is the enemy. Indoctrination is the enemy. Reapers are the enemy.

Oh. Alright then. Just making things clear, I get annoyed by the implication that Mac has no idea what he's doing due to inexperience.
Me too. I hope you don't think I'm of that stance.
I think he has capable as well as possibly has some interesting ideas we are not privy to yet. He has his Psych degree after all... (twitter.com/macwalterslives/status/132623780718706691)

Oh and Fellish too, but I only left him out because he's a loser.
I kid I kid.
We do too Arian! You know you could always join in a party chat with us, even if you can't get in a game UNTIL you get yourself a copy for xbox
Oh and I'm telling Fellish.

Pretty sure there's a thread in the IT discussion group for PC and 360 gamer IDs. There's definitely one for PC, haven't looked for a 360 thread.

This weekend is just going to rub in that everyone has at least one N7 character but me. It hurts... So much.
Play as much silver and gold as you can and save the coin. As soon as you have half a million or so, buy specter packs. I got 4 of the 6 N7s in 10 minutes with 1.5 million creds. I spent maybe 700K to get the N7s and blew the rest on supplies.

Do you at least have a Reegar?
I maintain that we should, for laughs, try Cerberus Gold, with a team consisting of four Vorcha Soldiers/Sentinels with Reegar Carbines.
It'd be like

I spent 1.8 million on spectre packs when the update came out and just got the weapons and a hell of alot of old character cards. I died a little inside.
