If this were a movie would there even be any doubt that the way it is presented, the kid is just in Shep's imagination?

There's a lot of things that people will accept in a movie, but not in a video game.

Which is stupid, honestly.  The two should be treated in the same manner when it comes to storytelling.  Heck, some games tell much better stories then a movie ever could.

Edit: Lots of 'white flashes' in those images.  Obviously showing you its supposed to be a dream.  Which is interesting.

If Bioware didn't intend everything to mean something ultimately, why put it in in the first place?  That video from ME2 Arrival has to mean something - and not just 'this is what happens if you fail' since you'd then have to accept what you see at face value.

/sigh

Posted ImageThis seems to be a mix of both ME1 and ME2 crew (Ashley isn't part of your crew in ME2), just like Mordin (second from our left) is not in ME1 + The Illusive Man. Seems odd.

And keep in mind how often Bioware implied that they are trying to make ME like a cinematic experience. Therefore, if I trust Bioware that the EC made the ending as bug free as it can get, I'd say we just have to trust them then all those oddities are as intended as it gets.

Not to mention that's Wrex on the right hand side, you can tell because of the hump.  Strange they put him in there, but not Grunt.

Also that building in the middle reminds me of the conduit.

Oh, Bioware, you.

Edit:  6:00.

It looks eerily similar...  Complete with a line of people looking up at it, and the three arms of the conduit looking like the Reaper's tenticals...

It's interesting to note the top down view of the crew isn't the same as the front/back view.

Also looking through those screens, at one point it focuses on Ashley and TIM (and Miranda to a lesser extent, but who really cares about Miranda?), then it fades to Harbingers 'face'. Interesting. We know TIM is indoctrinated, but Ashley? We did finder her in ME1 amongst reaper controlled forces. Veeeery interesting... *glares suspiciously at Ashley*

My guess is that those are the characters that mean the most to Shepard/the player.

While that doesn't make sense in a real case of a Reaper invasion (other folks in the galaxy should be seen as victims, too), it does make sense for Shepard's emotionally and psychologically. This reminds me of the turret situation on London FOB that was discussed yesterday.

Screen 145: If that is Anderson, isn't it awfully reminiscent of the vision you get of Anderson for the destroy ending.

Screen 162: What exactly am I looking at here?

Note that the top down view is just your full ME2 crew:
Samara, Legion, Jacob, Grunt, Miranda, Jack, Garrus, Tali, Mordin, Thane (left to right, top to bottom)

So I'd say August is more likely ;)

In any case she's one of the top 4 candidates of your crew being indoctrinated.

Yeah I've been flashing back and forth between the two angles. They're definately different. Mainly the Krogan. (from the back looks like Wrex, from the top looks like Grunt). WIth that said regardless the shell is still white like Grunt so I don't know.

I reckon is it grunt in both, but forget about that why would they do two groups if it was meant to be the same scene.

It's Wrex when looking from behind, the armor is quite different.

Not sure. I wouldn't put any more thought into the myserious Krogan. I think the top down angle is just to show how insignificant they are compared to the reaper dropping down. I think what's more interesting is the order of the flashes. Crew -> Harbinger, Normandy crash/Shepard helmet -> Harbinger. I think the white flashes are meant to seperate the parts of the vision. Not sure, I'm going to bed. Nighty night kids. ^_^

Why yes, I'll go and get official confirmation from Bioware themselves on the leaked DLC they're not allowed to talk about.

Chris Priestly said over a week ago that he'd been playing the new SP DLC content (which we know to be leviathan) as it was "finished" and a lot of the development staff (whom I follow on twitter) have been talking about QA/certification for new ME3 content ;)

Why, how very leak-y of them, including dialog lines in the files that can be read by everyone who's interested enough and has a ME3 PC version. And with the internet, practically everyone can find out about it.

The leak took what? 16 hours?
