I... I have to confess. I don't actually believe Bioware intended IT, and I don't believe they will ever confirm it. I'm not joking here. I'm here not because I expect IT to be made canon, but because you guys helped me come to terms with the disappointment I had with the ending, pre- and post-EC. Basically I'm here because Bioware failed to provide the ending I wanted. But the fans have and are continuing to build a better one, and I want to be a part of that.

Also, what a nice argumentum ad verecundiam you have there.

I just did. Partial Extraction though (damn Phantom in last 30 seconds) but holy lord is that a nail biting experience. Atlas, Banshee, Phantom and Geth Prime everywhere in the last few levels.

Got me roughly 110000 credits.

This is essentially my stance as well.

Mine too. With regards to IT I'm essentially a hopeful agnostic (much as I am with religion actually). I may not be 100% sure Bioware had this planned, but all the brilliant and imaginative speculations I've read in this thread have been incredibly entertaining.

However I do maintain the, perhaps foolish, hope that Bioware will recognise a good idea when they see it, and implement IT in future DLC. If they do that, and give us an actually happy ending (yes I'm a sucker for them, I'm too old for grimdark), then I will not be able to hand them my money fast enough. In celebration I will probably buy new copies of ME2 and ME3 for the PS3 so I can play them on my big TV in the living room.

I'm personally of the opinion that they DID intend IT.  There are far too many clues that suggest it, and for all the oddities they removed in the EC, they added others that seem to hint that there's something else going on.  And besides, if anyone could pull this off, it would be BioWare.  Or Bungie.  Wait, what would happen if those two devs did a collaborative effort?   The world might not survive the pure awesome.  Anyway, I say Bungie because of all the little seven references they fit into their games.  And books.  Seriously, if any of you have played a Bungie game or read a book based on a Bungie game (Both of these would presumably Halo, but Marathon counts too if you're an old school gamer.) you'll know just how complex some of the references to seven are.  And I KNOW that most of those are real.  So, the point of my comment is this.  If Bungie can pull this off, BioWare can, too.  I KNOW that the BW devs have probably played Halo, and I'm betting that they'd be familiar with the seven references.

Edit: Also, I'm just going to paraphrase Kasumi here on this topic.  The Bungie devs could pull something like this off in their sleep.  And Bioware's better.

Oh wait...

Well, there IS a pretty deep backstory to everything if you explore the expanded universe...   Anyway, I acknowledge that the Halo games don't have the deepest story, but my point was that it IS possible to sneak the little details that we've based out theory on into a game.  Well, it's not ALL little details, but those DO make up a fair portion of our evidence.

I had two people with me who clearly had done it before. But we were all out of missiles and any other bonus you can think of at the end.

Firebase Glacier was the stage by the way if you want to try yourself.

Also Simon is probably Casey Hudson.... he seems to bring up a lot of good points and is suprisingly articulate for a forum contributor.

That's because I was running either slayer specced for melee/slash or geth infiltrator with a black widow 3 and pure damage. i.e. "AD carries" to borrow some LoL parlance.

Pffttt.....You guys have yet to see my abilities at MP. I am amazing at MP. Sadly I have yet to play with any IT'ers...  I have yet to show off my awesome skills to you guys yet... However even though I am good, nothing can be done if you have that. Human with vindicator. Pfffftttt. You deserved what you got.  

edit - I'm exaggerating my skills cause I have yet to play platinum. No internet makes it a little hard to get the Earth DLC and play MP...
