That's a dirty exaggeration and you know it. Either.Ardrey can attest to that.

Also half the issue was that you were going human soldier with only a vindicator.

I don't believe I have you on origin yet?

If you have room for a vorcha soldier let me know [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Unfortunately, this. Vindicator's good on adepts or engineers who rely mostly on their powers and want to stick to range. But soldiers need something that can put a lot of DPS downrange, either in high-power shots or barrages of lead.

Had a great little combo on a reaper gold match earlier:

Vorcha Soldier
Cerberus Harrier with damage and recoil mods
Reegar Carbine with damage and clip mods
Incendiary Ammo 2
Shotgun amp 2
Shield boost
Power damage boost (for using Carnage on brutes long-range)

Anything that got close got Reegar'd, the DPS with Reegar + Vorcha Rage + Incendiary Ammo + Shotgun Amp is just massive

All went well until we all got taken down by a pair of highly magnetic banshees in wave 9...

What I want is the new N7 soldier with one of the newer guns. Maybe the N7 typhoon or at least the Cerberus Harrier. Unfortunatly the packs seem to hate me and insist on giving me useless powers that only work once. Come on!! A man needs some guns that make big noises!!!

I got me two levels of Destroyer and a typhoon. It's absolutely silly. But like an idiot I actually put points into the missiles. It turns you from a tank into a slow shish kebab and doesn't piddly extra damage. I should probably promote my characters and rebuild the lot of them.

If you're willing, I'd love to learn how to better spec/cater to general classes, as well as specific character setups, through PMs. For the most part I think I'm crap at it and that I've probably messed it up on multiple accounts. I just do the best I can with what I've got.

Hey, going to be off for a while but if you guys see any areas in the ME series that show the effects of indoctrination, (other than derelict reaper) could you PM me where it is? If not a PM then please post it in WN Theorists. (IN signature) It would be highly appreciated.

"Jartar is noted for the discovery of the "Leviathan of Dis", the apparent corpse of a genetically engineered living starship. The Leviathan was found in the bottom of a crater by a Batarian survey team, and estimated to be nearly a billion years old. It "disappeared" after a visit to the system by a Batarian dreadnought twenty years ago.

Since then, the Batarians have steadfastly denied that the Leviathan existed at all-and all the more vociferously when shown recordings of the corpse made by Salarian researchers."

just thought id post that, get us speculating about Leviathan. i think a mission to Khar'shan would be sweet but unlikely, though underwater travel would be the only way to traverse a planet occupied by reapers

I doubt it is the same Leviathan as Balak mentions that the Leviathan of Dis Indoctrinated the science team working on it and the Indoctrinated scientists then shut down the defense grid when the Reapers arrived.

If the Leviathan is against the Reapers why would it help them take down the Batarians and it also sounds like the Leviathan of Dis is inactive in the same way the Derelict reaper is, I doubt it in a condition where it could escape its fellows if that is what it wanted.

.....ok, I'm bored. But you get the idea.

On topic, though, I've been mulling over it and I can't help but feel like we've missed something in ME3.  If I kneww what, I'd've already posted it.  It feels like there's some missing link hiding just out of obvious sight.

I really think that we've missed lots of clues and such, especially since we only figured out a few days ago that the QEC operator was the quartermaster from ME1. We haven't figured everything out, not by a long shot. We still have to figure out exactly when the dream begins. There's a lot of evidence that points toward it being the MAKO crash before the beam run, but there's also just enough to make me doubt that....

But yes, I know what you mean. It feels like we're missing significant parts of the entire picture, and I don't just mean what would come in DLCs and such.

I know this old but I've been busy with Choose Wisely and Multi-Player.

The QEC opp in London is NOT the requesitions officer if that is what you mean. Nor is the soldier on earth in the destroy ending Jenkins. Not even close on both counts.

I have a Destroyer as well and I find the missiles are quite effective if you set them up for max damage. I still get in too deep and die on occasion - or often, but I like class.

actually its totally my fault, im the one who posted that originally, and i did it for the same reason you did. one of my friends was watching me play ME1 and wouldnt shut up about how the comm officer and the requisition officer were the same, and since he had just beaten ME3 literally 2 days ago i posted what he said instead of checking it myself, which was a big mistake on my part, and i apologize for any confusion. i went back and checked this time, and while they are somewhat similar, they are obviously different and shouldnt be mistaken like that
but i never said jenkins was the same as the soldier in the EC, just that except for the beard they do look eerily similar

Well, I found that the missiles fire too infrequently, travel too slowly, and have a bad habit of crashing into walls. And according to this calculator the missiles still pale in comparison to the typhoon. The grenades are at least good in a jiffy if you're in tight quarters or surrounded.

A destroyer specced for grenades and not missiles is tanky second only to krogan, is completely unreliant on cooldowns, and if equipped with a revenant or a typhoon is capable of absolutely tearing up -anything-. Your only question is should you go for magazine size or rate of fire, and whether you want more damage on your nades or the headshot bonus.

Just out of interest, let's assume for a minute that the Crucible really is a Reaper designed trap as many have speculated.
In that case, what's everyone's favourite theory for the "true" function of the crucible?

1. Raistlin Majare's theory that it powers the Citadel Relay for the Reaper's return trip to darkspace?

2. It turns the Citadel into a giant indoctrination antenna?

3. It powers the creation of a new human Reaper?

4. Similar to the above, but it powers the creation of a new body for Sovereign, who managed to download his mind to the Citadel just before getting blown up in ME1 and is now masquerading as the Little Blue Git to obtain personal revenge on Shepard?

5. It has no function other than as a massive waste of time and resources for the Alliance?

6. None of the above / other?

Personally I'm leaning to either 1 or 4 - just for the possibilities of where those plot twists might lead.

None of the above and here's why:

1) The reapers arrive to the Citadel normally without the Crucible. Why wouldn't they need it to return?

2) Why have organics build it? Why not have it built into the Citdael and make harvesting and indoctrination easier?

3) Not a good reason either since one was being built and had its own power source in ME2.

4) Not likely either, since the crucible was attempted by the Protheans. How would sovereign even know to plant a trap in case he dies if the sabotage occured after the reapers left?

5) If that's the case then why bother having any endings at all?
