Oh and I hate that the Citidle got taken over by the Reapers. So Ash, and Garrus's family's are dead not to include Baily the Council, everyone we helped on the citidle, and the Citidle defense for could not even help some people escape, or holed off the Repear forces long enof for the fleets to arrive and save the day. Also why did we listen to that prothien AI talk, or VI. It was hacked by the Illusive man and he could have the real info about the Crucible/catalyst, and given Shepard false info about the Crucible/catalyst.

Where exactly are you getting the idea that Garrus' family is on the Citadel? All I remember is that Garrus' family made it off Palaven, not that they ever went to the Citadel. I could be wrong though.

As for Ash's family, it was only ever her sister on the Citadel. Pretty sure the rest was trapped on Earth.

Plus according to a tweet from someone at Bioware, all the important people on the Citadel apparently survived.

Btw if the soundfiles are named accurately Shep dies in neither ending if you've got enough EMS.
cineanim_end02_epilogue_shepdead only plays with insufficient EMS (when no one leaves the Normandy) with sufficient EMS cineanim_end02_epilogue_intro plays instead.

Thinking of it it could actually explain the difference in the Guardian's behavior:
Why are you here? <- Shep is as good as dead, so why does he still resist.
Wake up. <- You're not dead, so wake up Shep

patronizing comments <- Shep dies, as any Reaper told her, dust struggling against cosmic winds.

You have choice/hope. More than you know/think. <- Shep is not dead, only badly wounded.
You don't need hope./You have choice. More than you deserve. <- Shep dies anyway but can still try to struggle.


Btw literal interpretation of the last remark "You have choice. More than you deserve." is impossible as "The path is open. There is only one way ahead."

The only excuse would have to be that the Normandy was not fleeing at all.  It would have to be attacking something.  A very important something.

That, or the whole crew was deep in the throes of the indoctrination process.

That's like Chewbacca leaving Han Solo behind. Or Spock leaving Kirk. Or Chief leaving Cortana (He came back for her), Normandy would NEVER leave Shepard behind without a good reason...a DAMNED good reason.
