I thought it'd be nice to have the comments about the Presidium and Relay Monument in one place so

Presidium:
Ashley
Garrus
Kaidan
Liara (People who like Synthesis love this)
Tali
Wrex aka Mr. Tranquil

Relay:
Ashley
Garrus
Kaidan
Liara
Tali
Wrex

Interesting as I was just playing through that and was thinking about these. But how are they important?

Just listen to some of what they say, all in all the Presidium has a calming effect, just like Vega again says in ME3. Sounds like indoctrination is at work here.

Yeah. It's basically the same. I also think the crucible has the same style of subtle indoctrination as the citadel. What do you think?

Can't unprove it, but you'd think they'd include more obvious hints if true like whispers in certain parts of the citadel

I actually did know that. And yeah, that may have been it. There's also a glitch where if you reload the save right after the conversation with Starbrat but before the choices, he dissapears and you can't shoot him. For some reason, that segment of the game is incredibly glitchy...even more so with EC.

The Carnifex mods shouldn't affect it. Did you have any mods on Predator? That's what should be affecting it.

Not getting Jack and Miranda is also a glitch, coincidentally. You should be able to get Jack's, though from what I understand Miranda's are only for Control and Synthesis.

Also, if you reload that particular auto-save, the background echoy-sound of the beam is gone, you know, the one that strongly resembles the beam sound you hear after waking up after Harbinger's blast.

There was a trial either way. Allers mentions it in one of the questions she asks Shepard as the scene fades out, I believe.

Some game files are in fact titled 'trial' (forgot which one). And if you look up the word 'trial', it doesn't necessarily mean a court, i.e. with judges and stuff.
A trial is just something where two parties exchange information, a hearing. And isn't that what we got in ME3's beginning? Shepard's telling a commitee the incredibly shocking revelation of the threat of a "Reaper" invasion.

Well, the way Allers mentions it as saying Shep's Cerberus connections came up during her trial, so I'd assume there was an actual trial at some point that we simply never got to see.

All reaper tech we know of indoctrinates; why not the citadel. Plus it would be light indoctrination, just enough so no one does anything i.e. the coucil.

In fact, it was scrapped. The cutscene with Hackett boarding the Normandy was reused from that cut scene (not cutscene). At least that's what I heard. I'm very sure. That's why everyone is so serious and that's why Hackett has his 2 armed bodyguards.

You're overthinking this. Your IQ is idling around the 200s I need you to bring it down to a pratical 100. Think about it as a story teller... as a story teller would you introduce indoctrination without any hints from the citadel infrastructure? Yes it makes sense but from a story telling POV it's really a cheap move for the audience

Yeah, it would’ve been the perfect to introduce the game to both new people to the series and old fans as well, not some random establishing showing a random kid, it’s a shame they cut it. I wonder why though, I’m going to guess size restrictions again.

I believe very much that is what happens after Virmire. You have proof Saren is using the Relay on Ilos to jump directly to the Citadel but the Council spread out the fleet to guard the other Relays that could connect to it. Also compared to before Udina is actually completely out of character. He is an overworked ass, true, but still he believed you, and fought for it. Then suddenly he doesn't anymore.
My guess is Humans were too unimportant before, but with Shepards resistance they decided to indoctrinate Udina.

Now why WOULD you choose to start the game with a false-reality shot of an alliance shuttle that turns out to be a toy for some random creepy child that Shepard seems oddly entranced by?

...I...wonder... :P

What's interesting here is that the Earth part was shown again and again on presentations (especially the blowing up of the building and then vent scene. And no one commented about it until the game was released. It practically stared right in our faces ~3 months prior to the release.

I don't know, they could have had a massive bright red text box appear on screen saying

THIS SCENE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE OVERARCHING PLOT FOR AS YET UNDISCLOSED REASONS

That would have made it marginally more obvious.

I've read no comments like the ones after the release, how the kid felt unreal, the Reaper noises, that he shouldn't have survived the blast or at least be seriously wounded.
It's also notable that exactly that video where they showcased that is no longer available on the bioware youtube channel since the release.

Totally forgot about the importance of that. Right from the start the kid is seen as not being what you think. They even had the same scene in the "Take Earth Back" trailer.

Appreciate the complement, but I don't think it would be unexpected. It was forshadowed since ME1.

That's quite impressive actually. Surprised more people didn't pick up on the endings being a hallucination honestly. Maybe BW expected more people to "get it" but when they didn't, they released the unplanned EC to satisfy some fans? I mean they openly denied all other theories about the ending in the first couple of weeks. Not IT though. Then they went into "cannot confirm or deny" mode as soon as it picked up steam.

I think they should patch SP to have all of the MP guns in it, and at the same time, give the Centurions the Harrier. Anyway, Shepard has a Mattock in quite a lot of promotional material. Not sure why though.

They need to rename the Harrier. I still think of a jet when I hear Harrier.

I vote the AutoMattock
