Geth use a sythetic muscle fibre, it acts very similar to organic muscles. Geth when shot will lose the fluid they use within their bodies (Probably like hydraulics). If they lose to much they would be unable to move or maybe even lose power, they would most likely use the medi-gel much like organics use it to seal wounds quickly to stop this fluid loss.

Obviously it is but it has a simple in game reason for it though, unlike the thermal clips on the planet Jacob's father had been trapped for ten years.

Do you think the geth have body fluid just for show?, Medi-gels main use is to stop blood loss after all (along with other use's), So it makes sense at least to me that they (the geth) would use it due to it being easily used for field repairs.

Now THAT is for gameplay reasons, I cant imagine you having to go through the whole mission without thermal clips while they all use the unlimited ammo guns.

Right, so in Firebase Vancouver in the MP there are bodies in body bags lined up near the extraction zone/drop off zone. . . . The bottom right corner of the map.

Nine bodies in total:


Each of them with a Mass Effect Style "3" on it:


Similarly to the "easter egg" body bag found in Arrival DLC, the one with the blood stain of a Reaper above it.
Now since I'm grasping we have 9 bodies + the symbol 3 = 12 so September 3rd, 2012, which lands on a Monday. I speculate we'll see some sort of SP DLC on that day, or some news, but again... Grasping.

It's in the office area, on a very low shelf of what looks kindof like a fridge, to the right of where the jack-o-lantern is. Hard to see, it's dark. I'm on 360 so no screen shots.

I think the basket is an actual Easter egg basket. Capital E, sorry. And yeah this doesn't really seem like BW's style, so I'm wondering what the significance is. Or maybe they just did it for fun, lol. Should we speculate what the number of strawberries mean on the cake? I think I count 18 around plus the 2 inner ones.
