Do you guys still think that a "real ending" DLC will come out to reveal IT?
What is the future of the IT?

I am leaning more in the direction of the IT being an ambiguous interpretation. Intentional, but never meant to be expanded upon. Would you be satisfied with something like that?

No.
That would suck.

but on topic, i know Banshee posted something awhile back saying that with Rio and Hydra being the only maps that we dont see in SP, it hints that Rio will be in future DLC, and that he believes firebase Hydra was most likely the map where we enter the Geth consensus. just wanted to say that Hydra is not that mission, the Geth consensus took place on Rannoch, and firebase Hydra is on the planet Arvuna.

It also says Condor is on Palaven, not Menae. I blame the name as either a cover, or a mistake.

really? that is weird. Menae is Palavens moon, so maybe thats the reasoning.
but this is just messed up though, heres the wiki link for firebase hydra, including the description of the map shown on the bioware blog before the map was released. now i dont know what to think

Hellooooo

With oceans covering 90 percent of Arvuna[/b]'s surface, this moon of Dranen is classified as a water world. Besides its prodigious sea life, Arvuna is also home to avian and mammal-like life forms on its islands. None are currently considered sapient. Arvuna is home to thriving human colonies, though indigenous diseases and venomous pests similar to a horsefly cause high mortality rates.

Why do I feel like we've not seen the last of this place? Sounds like it could be a setting for Leviathan does it not?

Just a curious question, with the forum length nearly reaching its limit, Byne are you or prehaps someone else planning to make a Mark III IT thread?

There is no thread length limit on these forums ;)

Another reason Arrival must be canon despite that note about marines (which my be the result of mixed signals at Bioware): Shepard shouldn't be under arrest without it. People keep saying that it was because of their work with cerberus, but it can't because Shepards a spectre. Heck, if the original council is alive they even endorse Shepard working with cerberus for the time being. Then Arrival happens and Hackett says you'll be arrested for this after you finish your work with cerberus and it's implied Shepard even turns themselves over.

What? Does this people even know the very basics of the games? Besides of beeing a spectre, you move around freely the citadel, c-sec, alliance embassy, eventually save humanity from the collectors threat ...and you should end up in the brig?

This is complete nonsense. Even if you refuse to get your status reinstated (what makes little to no sense, similiar to not surviving ssm and is not the version they are working with) you are NOT beeing chased for working with cerberus the whole game, still move around freely all places, save humanity ... NO way it could be because of cerberus.

That's what I'm saying. You never get chased for working with cerberus and Hackett easily shot down any suggestions Shepard be apprehended. Then arrival happens and Hackett says he can't hold off the dogs any more.

Ok before I go to bed time for some grasping [emerrrgency induction ports]

Right, so in Firebase Vancouver in the MP there are bodies in body bags lined up near the extraction zone/drop off zone. . . . The bottom right corner of the map.

Nine bodies in total:
Image IPB

Each of them with a Mass Effect Style "3" on it:
Image IPB

Similarly to the "easter egg" body bag found in Arrival DLC, the one with the blood stain of a Reaper above it.
Now since I'm grasping we have 9 bodies + the symbol 3 = 12 so September 3rd, 2012, which lands on a Monday. I speculate we'll see some sort of SP DLC on that day, or some news, but again... Grasping.

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here, but I've been lurking the hell out of this tread since March. I was just randomly watching some ME3 trailers tonight until I came across something that blew my mind. Here is the link. This trailer is from E3 2011, but the date at the end of the vid is 9-3-12! At first it seems like just a typo, but after gunslinger's post...

(Sorry if the post is poorly formed or if someone already pointed this out.)

Jamin it could be aimed elsewhere from the US where that date would read the 9th of March.

I've never had any doubts, but there are some people that refuse to listen to any argument, no matter how logical or factual.

EDIT: Gah! You changed your avatar while I was typing. It startled me.

HMMMM. First thanks for digging up my old post for that. Second, that's pretty freakin' interesting but not in line with the DLC release date theory having to do with "holiday" themed items in that level.

9 - 3 - 12 in that trailer is also for March 9th, 2012, the original release date while the actual release date March 6th .... I think... right? At least in the US. Anyway, I still think/speculate/theorize/Hope we see something on September 3*, 2012, if not then oh well, just a bit of grasping anyway.

Speaking of: did anyone ever figure out the significance of the Strawberry Chocolate cake? The other items are somewhat obvious in terms of what holidays they could represent, closest thing I can think of with the cake is . . . . Thanksgiving? Since it's a dessert item and there's food on Thanksgiving... That's all I got.

Does anyone "tweet"? I do not. Perhaps someone can "tweet" Gamble or another Bioware employee with a  twiiter-disposition with a "Does a Strawberry Chocolate Cake mean anything significant over at Bioware?" I'm thinking maybe they have an office party with cake on a specific date? I have no clue, again, grasping.

Edit: typos.

The problem with not being able to watch this thread 24/7 I guess. I tend to fall victim to that... :(

What ever keeps conversation alive though :wizard:

Booh! Image IPB

I guess you will never get people listening to reason, logic, facts if they simply don't want too. Accepting arrival as canon, means to accept that Shepard is in fact indoctrinated - because of Object Rho. People seem to have a big problem with this.

Was 9-3-12 the release date outside the US? I can't remember now but we usually get things a few days late in Australia. We list dates as Day-Month-Year, as does Europe.

If anything... It's odd. Another odd thing to add to the ever-growing list. Still possible the holiday items could just be some fun thing a dev thought would be cool to put in for no reason.

It's really not odd at all. The cake is most definitely a Portal reference but the strawberries seemed off.

Just looked it up and indeed 9-3-12 was the release date for ME3 in Europe (heh, we got it on the 8th down here).

Who'd you end up tweeting? Hm probably should've worded the question a bit better. . . . Wait isn't someone from Bioware watching this forum anyway? They're on to us!!

That was the European release date, but surprisingly Australia got it first on the 8th.

Well no I meant the 9 - 3 - 12 row of bodies being odd. But yeah the cake too now that you mention it. There is a cake in Portal 1 (according to a youtube vid I found that I barely believe) supposedly you need to portal-gltich your way through a crack in the wall to get to it. . . . Probably just some mod though, never had the patience to try it myself.

Well Drew Karpyshyn's birthday was a couple days ago (the 28th) so hmm... No mention of Strawberry or Chocolate or Cake in his bio though /shrug.

Drew Karpyshyn! On the off chance you're reading this happy belated birthday, thanks for the awesome writing.

Did you read the part about me grasping at straws? Anyways, I just think it's "interesting" there's 9 bodies, with a 3 on each of the bags, lined up.
