What
I took away from this tweet from Gamble today was that he "played" some
gameplay from EC. Don't know why you'd brag about playing any other
form of DLC. If it was just a cinematic he would also have said
"watched".

The other Bioware employees tagged are also
specifically gameplay designers... so yea. Evidence for gameplay in EC
is certainly starting to appear in my books.

How does awesome gameplay imply EC? They said they had a bunch of DLCs in the making...

I don't know, just thought it was interesting. I'd assume they'd be working full-bore on the EC since if the EC comes out crappy, noone will want to buy the DLC.

Interesting, and I agree that he's likely talking about non-EC DLC. And I can say with certainty that at least One person will buy the DLC regardless of how EC turns out.

It is indeed interesting but I remember Mike Gamble answering a tweet about whether he was talking about EC(not this tweet related) and he replied that they had a big team.
But of course it could be just as well the EC.

But he's definitely talking about SP content because Gaspur is and has been combat designer for SP and the MP was developed by a completely different team.

I thought they postponed all other DLC until EC was finished.

Also, started playing 2 again. Aria's guards have scumbag carnifexes and so far Shep has used the equipped pistol in cutscenes.

Just going through the files again and there seems to be a distinction for some things, we all know DreamFoliage or DreamTree, but for example BioA_Cat002_250Courtyard has a texture called RealFire_GroundFire_Wide. It seems the whole game is half illusion, half real. A warped reality of some sort.
(Cat002 is the Thessia mission)

Sorry, a bit touchy on the subject. Getting a lot of it in the past few months. Still am, as can be observed by the other new posts about what Nazara means (if they're addressed at me anyway).

How does the 1000 point war asset bonus for Anderson work?

Is it only if you do the renegade interrupt while he's pointing the gun at Anderson?
If you make TIM shoot himself, does it give you the bonus?
What about if he shoves Anderson down?

If TIM kills Anderson, you need 5000 to survive. If Anderson dies of... I have no idea what he does of since Shepard has his abdominal wound, but if he dies afterward when Shepard and Anderson are chatting over TIM's dead body, you only need 4000. It takes some reputation or paragon/renegade, I don't know what since I never had a problem with it. But I guess if you don't meet certain requirements, the only way to stop TIM is to renegade interrupt and shoot him after he's already shot Anderson in the back of the head execution style and is about to shoot you.
Also, it only effects whether you survive destroy. It doesn't help open the other paths with lower EMS.

I have an alternate theory about Harbinger's name if you're willing to entertain it. I know that you are a supporter of the theory that Harbinger is a Prothean Reaper. I played From Ashes again the other day in a NG+ and Javik says among his people there were certain individuals who personified traits for their species. Perhaps Harbinger was the name the Prothean who became the central mind for Harbinger chose. Perhaps he had another name before that, like Herald, for instance, a person who might have been at the top of the Prothean Media Empire. Herald is a synonym for Harbinger.
He maybe changed his name once he was indoctrinated, seeing himself as a disciple bringing forth the message of the Reapers and using the media to do it, and since he was savvy and maybe the Reapers needed a PR guy, they chose Harbinger to be the central mind. His creepy obsession with Shepard? Well it almost has a paparazzi obsession in it, I think.

Anyway, I don't necessarily agree with your theory, but this could flesh it out more. I agree that it isn't definitive that the Protheans didn't have a Reaper made from them. There were many individual species that called themselves Protheans when they were taken over by the Prothean empire, so it may not have even had to be Javik's species, the original Protheans, who could be Harbinger. But anyway, just throwing you a bone to chew on.

Interesting idea. Damn, I wish we had more information on how Reaper's minds work. It's hard to theorize when we don't even know the basics. :(

Ashley can be compared to Tali, who is... well I don't know what to call it since Geth are machines but I'll just go with speciesist since Geth can technically reproduce. When Tali meets Legion and comes to some kind of understanding about the Geth, she changes her mind about them or at least gains a strong sense of doubt. The moment she and Legion came to an understanding was a great scene of character growth and I came to respect Tali far more after that.

I agree completely. The Tali/Legion scenes are excellent. They should have given Ashley some similar scenes to denote she doesn't feel the same way about aliens. I never really considered ill of her for the mistrust of aliens but a lot of people did. Would've been nice for them to clear the air.

Almost always is from ads and is unintentional.  Most of the time the site owners are shocked to find out one of the ads from the bulk had a virus.  Could also be a false positive.  Especially if you're using AVG, which is the hypochondriac of security software.

I'm reading this thread alot. Really intrigues me to read all those great finds, good work.

I don't know if this has come by yet, but what the heck i mention it anyway.

If you look down all your war assets you'll see that they used the reaper heart (from the base of TIM) as a power source for the crucible. Well if you tell me, that whole crucible thing is a big reaper trap with that kind of a power source.

Thoughts?

They did. They even said that they'd postpone the production of any other DLC until the EC is released, I seem to recall them saying.

Yes I recall this also. And I'd also like to point out that it would be INSANE for them to work on anything other than the EC until it was out. Like, I'm sure Bioware is as aware as any of us that the ending has upset a few people, and are working hard to make the EC as good as they can.

So this, combined with the other tweets that say the EC is 'much more' than cinematics, leads me to believe that the EC has new gameplay, which also points towards... Indoctrination Theory!

Yesterday while waiting for the subway I came to the same conclusion.

Having the complete game being a dream is not a realistic project for a professional developer.
Having the complete game being literal poses to many contradictions within the story, especially during the end, they just pile up there.

Having the complete game being a synthesis(*rimshot*) of both seems the most plausuble. Also, fits within the theme of Reaper indoctrination: Twists your understanding, hence perception, of the world around you.

Could be Jack, looks like her. Wouldn't be surprised since Jack is also the texture of the running people in the opening Earth level.

I may be reading too much into it, but something happened in the last week. The formerly tight-lipped employees at BW have hesitated to say anything about IT or the EC in general. Now we have Chris diving head first in an IT poll and Gamble posting subtle hints at playing some new gameplay. It's like someone said, "Okay, tiny hints are okay to drop now". At this point they have a fairly good idea what the EC will contain. I don't see BW making the same mistake of cornering themselves with their own words again. Not so soon after their last debacle anyway. They must know something and optimistically I feel like Chris would never mention IT unless it was featured in some form within the EC. That coupled with Gamble's 'gameplay' tweet (where we have a pretty good indication that all efforts are solely on EC) and I think they're trying to say something.

Never saw it ingame but in the Citadel where you have the confrontation with the VS and Udina there is a texture used Pigeon_idle and Pigeon_pecking which contains animations of an idle pigeon and a pecking one. And one fly away. Never saw it ingame (only in the prologue at the end of Earth where the Normandy arrives) but since when are there birds on the Citadel? Also the black stuff in the air near the burning shuttle are using the texture of a black bird wing.
Not to mention that again in this scene dream foliage is present.

A note here: you can even ask Avina about flora and fauna:
Shep: "The place feels familiar. The sounds, the smells... it's like being back on Earth."
Avina: "The current decoration budget was approved by Ambassador Osoba, the human representative for Earth on the Citadel. Each species granted ambassadorial rights on the Citadel can apply for a slot on the decoration schedule to change the promenades and parks below. The only condition is that the proposed environmental features not be toxic to species living on the Citadel."

Few pages back, yesterday I think it was, we were talking about the weird headbob present in London and certain other parts of the game? Someone even posted a vid of it happening at the weapon workbench. Someone else pointed out the view of the workbench is probably still taking place in real time in the game just with a different view, I can somewhat confirm that now. I went down to the Normandy's workbench and noticed the N7 Edition pet robot-dog doing his scan thing and saw the blue light pass over the bench when I was using it.

Still not sure what to think of that "dizzyness" though.

That was DJBare's vid, and I was the one that postulated that it was the real time in-game view. Glad you were able to confirm it!

Remember Shepard getting radio contact with Anderson when he reached the citadel, look what Anderson is wearing but Shepard is not.

Shepard's used some kind of radio without one actually being on his/her ear numerous times (Shepard will put two fingers up to one ear when a message comes through). What I figure is there's some kind of ear implant or maybe just a very small earbud we can't see, explains how Anderson and Hacket reach you on the Citadel but with the amount of blood coming out of Shepard's head there it's possible th trauma to break the "radio implant".

Another good question: If Anderson and Hacket could reach you on the comm, why couldn't Coats or the other retreating Hammer forces?

Now that you mention it, are there ever any other instances of someone using an old style headset radio like the one Anderson has on in this scene? Is he wearing it in London?

Yes, Bioware reuses textures all over their games. What's weird/shocking about it?
