So, while I'm probly far too late in saying this, we should probly stop before the thread becomes a Console vs PC warzone.

Yeah, that would probably be a good idea.  If we keep going like this, it's only a matter of time before someone says, "The Starbinger is a console gamer, Shepard is a PC gamer," or something like that. ;)

This is probably as good a time as any to say I dont even have a PC, I have a Mac, so using it as my primary gaming platform is kind of out of the question.

Yeah we'll get this thread locked again by starting a console/PC war.

In the mean time lets speculate on why that one planet (Aquiteus?) glows when there's nothing there.

Just thought I'd pop in and say that on Chris Priestly's poll on HTL IT is winning 77.4% to 22.6% if you havn't seen it recently.

(And on the off topic pc console thing, I think I'm the only person in the world who much prefers console controllers to mouse and keyboard, I play both pc and console games and I get the mouse and keyboard is more precise and versatile, but I find using them hugely immersion breaking, the controller feels natural to me)

Edit: 77.5% to 22.5% in the time I wrote this.

No...you're not the only one that perefers controller (I do too), but then again I am so use to playing on the console now that I am biased.

Simple, that's the one that we found an indoctrination device on in ME2.  It could be a clue, it could be upcoming DLC, it could be a glitch.  We don't know for sure, but I kind of like the first two options. ;)

All of my console loving aside...if money was no object, I would love to have a gaming pc. In fact one of the things that I loved about playing Kotor and TSL on the PC, were all of the incedible mods made by the community. I miss that. But when you have kids...all the spare money goes to diapers and formula and toys they never play with...

And this is precisely the economic argument for consoles. You can afford more in a shorter period of time. And then pay more for games in the long run.

Assuming IT is true (I and many here obviously do believe so)...what do you want to "see" in the EC?

For me...

1. I don't want them to come right out and say, "Hey, you are indoctrinated" - I still want them to let the player figure it out.

Sorry, I read that and this image popped into my head.

You can install Windows on a Mac without a problem (if it's no Power PC, but Power PCs are discontinued anyway).

I would like to apologize to any PC gamer if I offended them with my "console loving" commments. It was never my intention to contribut to a PC vs. Console war in anyway. I was just attempting to add to an interesting discussion.

I find the missing systems strange as well, I get that they need to be there for continuity of the mass relays path plotting, but why do they make the noise when you pass over them? I highly doubt it's IT related but it's strange.

Or, maybe in a few months, the cat will be Bioware themselves.

No problem!  Besides, I love defending PC gaming.  It's a fun test of my skills in arguing. :)

Only some create a sound, other systems don't.

I dont even know. One day I decided I needed a new computer, and realized I dont know crap about PCs, and that the only game I even played on my PC was WoW, which can also be played on Mac, so I bought a Mac. I havent regretted it at all, since the Mac works fine for WoW and browsing the internet, which were really the only two things I wanted a computer for.

I still want to know what happened to Ilos. I mean was the conduit destroyed or turned off forever? what happened to it and unlike the London beam the Ilos conduit would have literally led Shepard and company to the front door to the master control unit.

and before anyone says "they didn't have a mako" how hard would it have been to replace that unused and fairly useless looking spare shuttle with a mako?

Btw BioWare should do a DLC like a mix of The Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song in which Shep died and Conrad has to save the Galaxy, Doesn't have to be very long, but the comedy would be great.

I think the Conduit was running out of power, which was why you had only like 40 seconds to get to it.

Also, Saren didnt have a Mako, and he used the Conduit just fine.

As did the prothean scientists who built it.

Also, I knew it was going to happen at one point, but due to the character Mako in Legend of Korra, I now read the word Mako and pronounce it Mah-ko. Dammit.
