That Carnifex/Predator Hybrid gun looks pretty cool.

I kinda want a gun that looks like that now.

Actually, it does kinda look cool!

predafex/carnitor for ME3 DLC weapon! Woot!

It should have the ammo capacity of a predator and the firing power of a carnifex!

I vote Predafex.

Uh because of that wallpaper I just remembered a quote, that is ironically also used for him for his wiki page:
"Salvation comes with a cost. Judge us not by our methods, but by what we seek to accomplish."
Now Harbinger said:
"That what you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction."
yeah, with a "cost", nice one Jack.

lol true that, maybe it was the indoctrination speaking... Somewhere along the way, Jacky boy lost his way.
I still stand by the thought that if IDT is true, TIM should have a final desperate "hoorah!" moment to redeem himself and make all his disgustingly unethical experiments worth it.

The "I tried, Shepard." was everything I needed for him to redeem himself in my eyes (which were slightly wet at that point).

Na, I thought that was just like Saren going "thank you, Shepard" before doing the same thing TIM ended up doing...
The way I see it, TIM is to information what Shepard is to combat. They should share the same willpower. Plus TIM had been fighting IDT on some level for 29 years. I think it should be logically to assume he could find someway around it, especially after sanctuary.

The reason is you can't have two pistols at one time, because of that they had to do a workaround. The not loaded texture is just that: the texture isn't fully loaded yet (the Unreal Engine always passes the lowest mip level first to the graphics card to speed up load times and loads higher levels on the fly).

So would they also not be able to "remove" / translate the Carnifex mesh out of sight?

I think this is a relevant addendum to the Predator / Carnifex issue.

It is often "sold" as the Carnifex turning into the Predator, but I now aim to show that we may have hallucinated a little bit ourselves.

First, yes, there's no doubt we start out with just the Carnifex:

But observe this frame: It looks like the Predator mesh is added (i.e. not actually replacing anything) to the scene:

Then, in the next frame or so the new mesh also gets a texture:

The Carnifex has not actually been (fully) replaced. Look:
Posted Image
That's not the only "still Carnifex area", but it's easy to see when you know to look for it.

I honestly didn't notice while I was making my own video to corroborate the initial finding. Maybe it's the color change (new gun material?) that tricked me. Regardless, you can see it clearly. It's a bit harder to see in Prettz' video, but still evidently there: Two guns, not one turning into another.

To be clear, I still think seeing intent here is justified, given how it occurs in the same shot and when the shockwave hits.

Funny observation, this isn't actually the first time I've seen one gun melded with another like that.  When Wrex attacks you on the Citadel if you sabotaged the cure, his shotgun starts as a Claymore, then becomes some weird Claymore/Graal Spike Thrower hybrid.

Edit: Check this vid at around 0:54.

But what's the sense about that? Replacing a weapon with another can even be some kind of glitch, but merging two weapons into one? My brain is going to explode.

So we're back to "it a surprise, they planned it"? It's May 24th, more than 2,5 months since the game released and yet the release date for first SP DLC is still nowhere on the horizon. If it was all planned, they would've released the "true ending" DLC already.
Epilogue DLC for POP 2008 was released exactly 3 months after the game. Ending DLC for Asura's Wrath 2 months after the game.

There must be some kind of symbolism for it. It's intentional. Unless it's just one more thing to show us that what we're seeing isn't real.

One time on Mars, James' Avenger rifle was melded with a N7 Crusader. That shieett looked pretty badass

Wrex simply possesses the ability to mold weapons to his liking on the fly. He's that badass.

Also, speaking of Wrex, you ever notice he doesnt bother using biotics on you when he attacks?

He knows you're the best hope for the galaxy, but he also knows you've screwed over his people.

His honor demands he at least respond to your treachery, but his common sense dictates he doesnt actually want to win the fight, because while you screwed his people, him winning would screw the galaxy.

At least, thats my interpretation of why he seemingly doesnt go all out.

Wrex is awesome.

Wrex is smart enough to know that with the genophage, while difficult, sustaining the krogan population is still possible.

He cant let his people fight for Shepard anymore though, because if he did, they would go extinct. Its why he withdraws all krogan support and orders them all back to Tuchanka.

He doesnt want to kill Shepard, because if the Reapers win, his people go extinct no matter what, but he has to respond in SOME way, to Shepard's treachery.

No, he wouldn't stop the Krogan support then. The problem is that a soldier Shep would be no match vs a biotic Krogan. (She would loose just as bad as vs Kai Leng)

So maybe that's why we don't get proper dialog with him in the final goodbyes scene... He was secretely like "that Shepard... I got my eye on her...."
