You know what I don't get is that BioWare showed that blowing up a relay in #2 = the destruction of a solar system. So why change this in #3? The math doesn't add up.

Asteroid + relay = explosion destroying system

Space magic + relays = explosion but system lives

It just doesn't add up. And the amount of assets you have shouldn't be able to change any of that.

Asteroid hits relay, Energy in the Relay core is released uncontrollably in all directions.

Space Magic overloads relay and transfer the majority of the energy to the next relay. The rest is left to spread out in all directions.

So won't the last relay in the chain reaction still destroy whatever system is unlucky enough to be last, since there are no further relays to transfer the energy to?

Yes. But it might actually end up in where ever the reapers lurk during their 50K year vacation. Ever thought about how they were going to even make it to the Citadel from deep space? Probably something similar to this.

O_O I could have sworn Omega was made by like Turians or something as a mining asteroid but it turns out it WAS "built" by the Protheans...This is interesting.

I've had a theory for a while, that might explain why TIM was so interested in Omega: What if it's the Prothean Crucible? It does kind of look like it. We also have no real reason for the coup, unless TIM knew the Citadel was the Catalyst...

Also, unrelatedly, we still don't know why TIM attacked Sur'kesh, that was said a few times in game, they didn't know why, but it was never explained...

You too hey, I started to think it as well, but only recently when I went back to playing ME2. It first dawned on me when we get the first reveal scene of it when the SR2 goes in to dock, than I looked up some interesting facts about it:

“...At times the station has lain idle and abandoned for centuries, only to be reactivated by a new group of outlaws seeking a fresh start. The space station's original elegant design has given way to haphazard expansion by scrabbling factions of every species.”

I also checked out the wiki on it and it’s stated length is 44.7 kilometers. Does anyone wan’t to take a guess at how long the crucible is?

I believe the citadel is the same size as Omega

Each arm is about the same size as Omega, but when fully open the citadel is about 95 kilometers in diameter.

Total length (open) 44.7 km
Total diameter (open) 12 8 km.

I just did some backward math on it from memory for my post, but yes that sounds correct. I take it that's from the wiki?

So total length would be from the back of the presidium to the tip of one of the wards, in the fashion that we’re most used to seeing the citadel in. [kind of like an attacking squid]

Where as that diameter measurement would indicate how it appears during the final cinematic [like a star]

My math was based around the idea that the Presidium has a 7.2km diameter and each one of the Wards are 43.6km length.

Look on youtube,

The Prothean VI said that the Catalyst, Crucible would use Dark Energy to make a FREQUENCY to Destroy the Reapers and Mass Relays.

I don't remember this conversation.

I don't remember him saying that that's the way the reapers would be killed. I think he was refering to the pattern of the cycles.

No I was poking fun at all the cool Salarians seem to work/have worked for STG the gamestop Salarian probably isn't an STG deep cover operative.

I also found this weird. In one of the Mass Effect books, I believe it was retribution, the reapers controlling Grayson when he was on omega commented on how they found it interesting how each species in each cycle has added to omega. I believe that it was either implying to the crucible and that omega is one or that the reapers originally made omega. Or even better yet. It could be both!!!!

I think if you dont have Kasumi, and choose to save the hanar homeworld, that human chokes him to death or something.

Never actually done that without Kasumi so I dont know the specifics, but yeah he can die.

Would have been epic if Omega was the crucible and we didn't have to actually build one. Would explain why TIM kicked Aria out. I still don't understand his interest in Omega besides it being near that relay.

If the Take Back Omega rumored DLC doesnt add Aria as a permanent squadmate, I shall be very disappoint.

I want to take her along on Priority: Sur'kesh and find out once and for all if she really is Wrex's old friend Aleena

TIM taking over Omega would make sense if that was the reason behind it.

Omega looking like the crucible is iffy. the bottom part certainly looks like the crucible but the top part IS an asteroid and asteroids are usually round(ish)

The tweets are too vague (as usual) they could be refering to the new MP pack

I don't think the "take back Omega" DLC rumors are actual "rumors" but since everyone (pro ending and anti ending alike) want to see it chances are they'll make it.

Aria wanting TIM dead for stealing Omega isn't much of a hint. Its more of Aria wanting to enforce her only rule.

Aria's only rule sadly rules out any possibility of an Aria romance. Which I'd definitely pay money for.

But I guess we cant **** with Aria.

Make that two people who will be very disappoint if they don't make a Aria a full-time squadie [hmm, maybe love interest :P ]. Also as for Aleena, I've often wondered about Aria's past and how it might have intersected with Shepard's path in the past.
