Anyway since Kirrahe survived all the way to ME3 wtf happened to Commander Rentola?

My Kirrahe died in ME1.  I didn't even know you could save him until somebody mentioned it here!

So combining the ideas of TIM taking over Omega. The fact it was made by Protheans. Omega looks like the crucible. There's been tweets from the devs about new gameplay. The comic stating that Omega's story will continue in ME3. The rumours about a 'take back Omega' DLC. The fact that Aria wants TIM dead for everything he did. I think some pieces are falling into place here.

EDIT: Also, if we add the idea of our Crucible is missing a piece to make it work, hmm

*snip*

If the Take Back Omega rumored DLC doesnt add Aria as a permanent squadmate, I shall be very disappoint.

I want to take her along on Priority: Sur'kesh and find out once and for all if she really is Wrex's old friend Aleena

Make that two people who will be very disappoint if they don't make a Aria a full-time squadie [hmm, maybe love interest :P ]. Also as for Aleena, I've often wondered about Aria's past and how it might have intersected with Shepard's path in the past.

Some quotes from Aria in ME2

"Not even the first Krogan I've pissed off"

"Its better to run then to kill someone you respect" (paraphrased)

"Better luck next time"

Aria wanting TIM dead for stealing Omega isn't much of a hint. Its more of Aria wanting to enforce her only rule.

Aria's only rule sadly rules out any possibility of an Aria romance. Which I'd definitely pay money for.

But I guess we cant **** with Aria.

Rules are made to be broken, even Aria's rules:lol:

This, could it be possible that TIM modified the prothean VI and we've been tricked into walking right into the reaper forces whilst TIM quietly works on getting his own crucible/catalyst combo functional?

Hmm Aria as a permanent squad mate?

I picture her doing damn near nothing but sitting in the lounge and occasionally say some snarky comments to those intruding in "her room"

I was looking at Aleena's talk page on the ME wiki a while back, and someone there was talking about how Aria being Aleena doesnt really have any solid evidence, and then they said this:

The whole Aethyta being Liara's father hasn't died down yet either, and that has even less support given what we know about asari culture

Which made me lol pretty hard

After LotSB Aethyta was pretty much confirmed as Liara's father.

Given what we know about Aria I think its safe to say she's Aleena

You know what I don't get is that BioWare showed that blowing up a relay in #2 = the destruction of a solar system. So why change this in #3? The math doesn't add up.

Asteroid + relay = explosion destroying system

Space magic + relays = explosion but system lives

It just doesn't add up. And the amount of assets you have shouldn't be able to change any of that.

Look on youtube,

The Prothean VI said that the Catalyst, Crucible would use Dark Energy to make a FREQUENCY to Destroy the Reapers and Mass Relays.

I don't remember this conversation.

"The Catalyst enhances dark energy transmissions and coordinates the entire mass relay network. In your cycle, it is known as the Citadel."
Nothing about a frequency.

TIM taking over Omega would make sense if that was the reason behind it.

Omega looking like the crucible is iffy. the bottom part certainly looks like the crucible but the top part IS an asteroid and asteroids are usually round(ish)

The tweets are too vague (as usual) they could be refering to the new MP pack

I don't think the "take back Omega" DLC rumors are actual "rumors" but since everyone (pro ending and anti ending alike) want to see it chances are they'll make it.

Aria wanting TIM dead for stealing Omega isn't much of a hint. Its more of Aria wanting to enforce her only rule.

Well the top of the Crucible is round too! But the astroid bit does create the issue as to why would the protheans built there crucible out of one? Unless the astroid had some materials used in the design and they were going to dislodge it later. Or maye it was a way of masking it's design.

Although the tweets are vague, the Dev team that tweeted were from BioWare Edmonton not Montreal. Edmoton are responsible for single player content and as we know they're totally focused on the EC. Montreal are responsible for Multiplayer content.

Well Mass Effect Invasion clearly states that Aria's and Omega's story would continue in ME3 ... which to be honest, apart from some dialogue really didn't. Hence 'take back Omega' but you're right, it is only speculation, maybe Mac Walters really is that lame.

Aria want's to kill TIM for a lot more than just stealing Omega, his head assasin did murder her daughter. Also, lets face it; Surely TIM needs more motivation for taking Omega than just the Omega-4 relay, it's a pretty massive coup for very little gain.

Omega was not built by Protheans. Protheans were already extinct when this collision happened.

It's the Alien writings in ME... you encounter it on Sur'Kesh and on the Armali ad (though it says Asmali there) so no specific species.

Sounds of these scenes are actually prerecorded.
There are 3 files with 2 shots each with different distortions.

"boom headshot" oh well, there goes that idea I guess. Although it doesn't actually say when those 'thousands of years later' actually happened. Although after reading more information on Omega it does seem to read as if the development of the station happened during our cycle.

If they made Aria a squadie I'd be very disappointed, it goes against her very character to be under anyone's command, Aria is her own person with her own rules, her rep would drop like a brick in my eyes if she went under Shepard's command.

Anyway, back on topic, when someone mentioned that omega could be the prothean crucible, it gave me pause for thought, then I remembered it was a mined out asteroid that was specifically done in the present cycle.

I'd love that.

It depends on the arrangement Shepard and Aria strike, methinks, and the gang coordination for the war effort planted the seeds.

Problem with that is you have to wait a significant amount of time in the game for Purgatory to unlock, so you're not going to have access to her for a good number of missions.

True, but I could totally see her joining for a while for a specific purpose, perhaps not as a squadmate but in the same way Mordin does...

Why does it have to be either of them under the other's command? They could just be working together. Maybe if you try doing something she doesnt want to do, she just refuses to come along on the mission, or maybe Aria will decide at random points that you're taking her along whether you want to or not, and she'll just randomly bump another squad member.

Would be sort of interesting.
