Hey guys, just got back from Gamestop. I talked to one of the emplyees about the EC DLC and when it might be released. He informed me that he was told that Bioware's looking at a mid July to late August relase and that they've only recoreded half of the dialogue so far. Just thought I'd mention that.

That date might be accurate based on the fact that it's after the summer movie season, but the employees there aren't usually privy to that kind of knowledge.  I've been pretty close to a few managers and assistant managers there, and the upper-management types who communicate higher-level information to the team don't have that kind of communication with the developer staff.  Often, the district managers locate information online on familiar sites and regurgitate information to their staff.  

They see things and test them before others at conferences and what-not, though, but it's usually not quite that real-time.  This could be an extenuating circumstance, given the controversy, but I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Just got back from work, can I get a rundown of today's discussion?

From when I was here we discussed the pistol change. It seems that the Predator is painted over the Carnifex instead of replacing it. So it's actually half Predator, half carnifex.

I also introduced SWOTC, a theory that suggests that Shepard was on or on part of the crucible and not the Citadel.

I think he's just telling you what you want to hear. My friend works at Gamestop, and plays Mass Effect. When one of his customers asks about what the next thing to happen with ME3 is, my phone rings.

Why Gamestop would know when free DLC that they are in no way connected to is coming out is highly questionable.

Sounds of these scenes are actually prerecorded.
There are 3 files with 2 shots each with different distortions.

what tools do I need to look at mass effect 3 files?

I don't know, a late July-mid August release seems to make sense. He also told me about the multiplayer DLC and what was in it and when it will come out, I was going to bring that up as well until I saw the front page lol.

It makes sense yes, but there is no way he would know unless Gamestop has been informed by Bioware.

If EC is a a free DLC that they're trying to keep tigther under wraps than everything else ME3 - why would they even mention it to a gamestop employee at all?

Yeah, that's a fair point.  I had actually assumed a release date sometime in late July/August.  It would fit the developement time necessary to create this.

Maybe, but considering how quick the internet explodes at the moment with anything ME3 even trickled out info wise - all they'd need to do is drop an accidental twitter post then delete it a minute later and it would have wider saturation than a random gamestop employee.

Yeah, but it's not coming from the lips of a game employee.  

Also, not everyone's wired up and directly on top of everything that's going down right now.  That's the tactic to get us and gaming sites/journalists ablaze, but there are other information channels---and faith-placing levels---to consider.
