You're basing your entire theory on how far the prongs extend? It doesn't matter how far they extend because we clearly see the same prongs before the crucible even attaches.

To be fair, I didnt realize how they fit into it until after I figured out what it meant.

I just already knew the last word began and ended with a D, since I recognized that symbol, so when you said the first word was indoctrinated I realized what it said

Agreed on both counts. I sort of wish that Bioware had done what ACAVYOS did with his IT video, and put in whipsers that end abruptly right as Shepard takes his breath. It was quite dramatic. Might be too much of a giveaway, though.

If Liara turns out to be indoctrinated, I would bet a small sum of money on it being possible to save her. I just cant see Bioware screwing over the entire Liara fanbase that way. That would be like if you had no choice but to shoot the VS during the Cerberus coup regardless of your playthrough.

No, in my opinion that scene is played as an observer and not as a representation of what Shep experiences. Therefor you can't hear what's inside her mind.
(Like the ending of ME1 where on first glance it looked like Shep died)

Well, if the theory that the Crucible is an indoctrination device that can be reversed is true, that would certainly solve the problem. Also, if the Reapers were 100% defeated, then its likely that indoctrinated folk would eventually return to normal. Those are probably the two likely scenarios, I'd say.

Currently 4-to-1 odds at the HTL poll. Either 80% of people believe in IT, or at least a good portion of those people realize it might be the only way to salvage the ending without retconning the last 10 minutes out of existence (which is not happening).

TIM has barely tapped into how indoctrination works. Last thing cerberus would know how to do is reverse indoctrination. I believe the game itself says indoctrination is irreversable

Some of them might have been captured and indoctrinated as early as the beginning of Mass Effect 2.
