He says "And I won't" when EMS is slightly higher and still people come out of the Normandy. So it means that he doesn't want to do anything rather than try to stop you. He leaves the choice up to you.MegumiAzusa wrote...

Actually, Destroy is not an option
ever given by The Guardian at all. It's an option given to you by
Anderson. THEN he comments about how he "Knows you've thought about
destroying us."
If you watch closely, the catalyst doesn't really say that in order to destroy them, all synthetic life will be destroyed, or even give you the option. It says that you could try to wipe out all synthetic life, and lets you tie yourself in knots over something it's never actually said.
It is a very clever piece of dialogue.
"You can wipe out all synthetic life if you want."
there is nothing about trying.
Low EMS stuff:
"The Crucible changed me. Created new... possibilities. But I can't make them happen.
And I won't."
"Make what happen?"
"What you came here to do.
You want to destroy us./You want to control us.
Now you could interpret the "And I won't." as that it will stop you if you try (hence sheparddead plays in the Normandy scene and no one steps out).

Is it somewhere stated that it is still there? It could (should?) have been removed during the refitting of the normandy. It's only purpose was to able to pass through the omega-4 relay, so why would the alliance leave it on board?
EDI mentions it's still installed and she's "evolving the cyberwarfare suite around" it during conversation (paraphrasing). I believe it's become part of the Normandy's stealth systems in terms of avoiding direct Reaper contact outside of scanning.

Already promoted 5 of the classes (had 2 20s and 3 17-18 before I heard about the op) now I'm just working on getting Engineer going. Figure if I do double the squad goal I'll make up for not killing enough Banshee's last op. I don't like playing as an eng though, with the drones making that... sound. But oh well I'll just pack on the big guns and hope for the best.
I promoted all 6 classes today, and I'm currently focusing on finding more evidence for the IT!
I agree though, I'm not a huge fan of engineers... My favourite class is the vanguard, then comes the infiltrator, then sentinel.
Come to think of it, I've never really been a fan of a class that only specializes in 1 thing...

Hope, that in the end, all of those insults and belittling we've endured, will finally pay off, and that we will be the people in the right...
I can't stop comparing the IT to Shepard trying to warn the council about the reapers...
currently, 81% have voted "yes." I hope that this will actually mean something for the EC...

It would be pretty weird if the EC would be released on that day...
What if the fans' reaction to the EC will be so negative that the energy released from their butthurt bellyaching will be so heavy, that it produces infinite numbers of dark energy that suddenly destroys the sun?
FORESHADOWING.

Maybe the poll was trying to find out what the fans' reaction to the inclusion/exlusion of the IT would be...
