I do wonder why they bother giving us credits if the game always resets to a save after priority cerberus, credits included.
Hmm.... Good point. Could be for New Game+ but, maybe Bioware gives them to you for use in the future of the game? A hint that things may not end at Earth as we saw? Interesting if anything.
Very true. Even in ME2, during the Suicide Mission you got no credits. If there are credits there, they've been put there deliberately.

I think that's going too far. IF the hallucination/indoctrination theory is true... I think Extended Cut will simply add the final "battle" against the reapers. Anything more would make Extended Cut too long IMO
Edit: In fact... If the London attack was a dream... why the london breathing scene?

I'm still not sure if the EC is going to show anything conclusive after the breath scene. Technology (processing power) is going forward and what was unfeasible 5 years ago (when they planned for a trilogy with save imprt option) could be done today. So maybe the open ending of ME3 is a hint for the continuation.

A-ha! That's the link to Operations and SP I was looking for. The Operations story hasn't been too close to the SP story, or at least it wasn't obviously close, aside from failing the Banshee mission possibyly tied into Asari Colonies being lost. But this defintiley increases war assets, might give some fans the boost they need if they haven't gotten it already.

Well. We have confirmation of Kaidan, Hacket and EDI recording more conversations for EC. That means they will talk... and if they talk... At least we will see what happened with the fleet (Hacket), why Kaidan abandoned his best friend (or we will see him coming back for him, or taking care of him at a hospital, or... a lot of possible theories). And we know EDI is not destroyed by the destruction... because she will say something too.
I think EC will be conclusive. At least about the reaper invasion.

But you can get 4000 EMS easily in SP, right? that's the amount needed for the Perfect ending. (I understand the most perfect ending is when you save "Anderson"... 5k is what you need if you fail at saving "him")

Promoting your multiplayer characters results in a higher number of war assets. It modifies a war asset called the "N7 Special ops." Currently, I've got 500 points from this war asset.
Operation Shieldwall is about the players needing to promote their characters.

I see. I always thought you could reach 4k. I failed my first playthrough, and I'm playing again more slowly now to see if it's possible. I've never played MP, kinda scared of it. But if I don't get 4k points I'll definetely try it.

Even if you import and do everything possible to gain EMS (its possible to lose some) with the readiness rating % it's very difficul to have 4k. More than likely 3.4k-3.7k or so with the readiness at 50% is what non-MPers can get. I recall having around 7200 EMS the first time I beat the game with 100% readiness (imported all the way through the series, and promoted 1 MP class).
As for Anderson, you can still save him without a high reputation score I found out. I went through with my maxed out Shepard again, forced myself to pick the default options, as long as you take the first renegade interrupt you can stop The Illusive Man just before he shoots Anderson. I was still able to get all 3 choices and Shepard's Breath but that's probably because my EMS was around 8300 by that points regardless of Anderson living or dying... I play a lot of MP. Fun fact, if you take NO renegade actions after default dialogue choices TIM shoots and kills you after Anderson, game over screen, thanks for playing, try again.

You can save Anderson using paragon options. But I think that's pretty difficult. You have to use all paragon choices with TIM for that, if not... it won't work. However, I don't care about paragon or renegade, I just do what I feel I must do. In this case... I just shoot TIM when I have a chance. No way I'm letting Anderson die.

I don't think that's the case if Chris Priestly himself made a thread and poll on HTL asking fans if they believe in IT.
I know they have already started EC and all, but someone from Bioware/EA has gotten him to do this to run some sort of numbers on it.

Yes yes very true I know, but I was aiming to describe for those without high enough reputation to save Anderson and therefore potentially lose the odd EMS boost and therefore be unable to get the breath scene and maybe even some options.
How I describe the choices:
Default dialogue options = white coloring, top and bottom right on the wheel.
Paragon/Renegade (or Reputation options) = the blue and red, left on the wheel if unlocked.
Easy to see "paragon choice" and think the default top option, easy to confuse with the blue text option.

Shepard chooses destroy, but I always thought just waking up is rather...lame. I would prefer Shepard to really fight her way out of Harbinger's grip. So after you blew up the tube and made the first step in denying the Reaper's logic and right to exist...you "awake" in one of the these three locations...
1. Colony of Mindoir, just under attack by Batarian Slavers
2. A slum-district in an unknown Mega-City on Earth, ruled by crime and gangs
3. An Alliance Spaceship or Spacestation
I hope you see where I am heading...the next step of Shepard's fight is still inside her head, and leads her to her past. Not the real past though, a twisted, nightmarish version, influenced by the Reapers and Harbinger, who try to lure you away from your path, despair you, use your fears against you. This part would mostly be dialouge, evading combat, or based on renegade/paragon-interrupts etc. You are still a teenager and not a supersoldier after all. The next phase would lead us to more real combat though:
1: Akuze, where you fight actively against hordes of Thresher-Maws and see your whole squad dying
2. Torfan, where you sacrifice your entire team to get the job done and kill all Batarians
3. The Battle of the Skyllian Bliz, where you fight against an army of pirates to save the city
Again, everything here would be twisted and altered, maybe enemies with huskified appearance, and surreal elements. Harbinger would always accompany us like in ME2, mocking us, trying to deceive us to make different choices and leave the path of truth. I would love to see a "nightmarish" version of Hannah Shepard...
The final chapter could be all the same for everyone, and feature an important mission from ME1, maybe Virmire, though totally different this time...like forcing you to sacrifice your current LI no matter what (even if he/she wasn't present then, its a dream, so many possibilites)...
I would love to play such a DLC. Why care for Omega, if you could delve deeper into Shepards mind and past? Only IT would allow us to experience stuff like this in a believable way...
