you sure? I'm not native english speaker so I'm not going to discuss that. It sounds more a "can't" to me, tho... But I don't know.

Its a tricky one - because some people hear can't - others hear can.

English is my only language, the first time I heard it I thought it was "can't" but thought that doesn't make sense so assumed I heard it wrong.

Well I never heard them say that the current ending is the official ending it is an ending yes but is it the real one. All we have been getting is PR spin and confusion.

Heh, funny. Even accidentally Bioware is contributing to the debate and speculation.... xD

lol

My partner just said she heard Can't when she listened to it for the first time without any prompting from me - but then when I explained to her IT - she said that he was preparing us for disappointment LOL

It would make more sense. Why is he going to confirm something like that? A lot of things could happen between that interview and the launch of the game. I'm pretty sure nobody would say that...

I don't mean that should be an evidence... I'm just saying nobody knows what could happen.

I think he said: " I can't tell you that the end of the game will be on the disc but within that context..." It's still possible that the way he pronounces "can tell" makes it sound like "can't tell". Though, if he said "can", "but" wouldn't make grammatical sense with both sentences positive (but I can be wrong here).

Thisthisthisthisthis...!

The only thing was from the EC blog entry "No further ending DLC is planned" but then again, with DLCs most players, including me, have the 'archaic' definition of an ending in mind.

And no, BW never defined the word ending as "that thing we got on the discs" -- except Jesse's interview, that is, but who knows what the intention behind that statement was.

Right now we are discussing if Bioware ever said that the last 10 minutes of ME3 was the end or not.

Pretty much.

It would have been really easy to definitely shoot down IT and the non ending theories floating around after day 1.

"What you saw is the end of ME3 - the end of Shepard. Thats all there is. There isn't anymore."

But they haven't. Of course, the absence of confirmation is not confirmation itself - but why let IT become the monster it is now if its no where near accurate. You're only setting yourself up for ending hatred round 2.

Earlier we also discussed Control vs Destroy again.

Yeah, if IT wasn't Bioware's intentions, then letting IT evolve to this HUGE amount of fans is shooting themselves in the foot. If EC is not at least similar to what IT suggests... I mean, if ECs ending is not similar at least to IT's ending... they will get a bigger amount of angry fans.

And I'm sure they know it. It would be safer to say "sorry guys, that won't be the end" since day 1.

We should ask prettz to hear to that interview. He's an audio expert.

I thought it was "No new ending DLC"? eg they are sticking with the current ending, I like to think because that's the end of part 1, part 2 coming up!

PS. I don't want a part 3, let's get it over with and lets kick those reapers back into the black hole they came from!

Agreed. Shepard has done enough... he deserves a rest. Let's just end his story as Shepard deserves!

I don't I just want an answer so I can know for sure to either

a) forget the series and find something else to invest my time in.

or B) love this series again.

I can't love it if that ending is literal, not easily.

Question: if IT is true, why does the collector base even effect what tIM says to you? I mean, a dream is a dream, why would BioWare bother to put flags in for that kind of thing?

Seems luike a waste.

Wasn't there also something from Ray Muzyka in the Bioware blog where He was saying how the players were upset with the CURRENT endings?

Notice how he said "current endings." Kinda weird, right?

I think your giving Bioware way more intellectual credit than is due.

They, unlike you, have earned it.

In fact, there's a twit from Jessica Merizan in which she said that EDI is not destroyed because she is not made from Reaper tech. That's kinda a confirmation that Destroy doesn't destroy other tech (so, Rieperbieber was lying).

Problem is, EDI is Reaper tech. Ever wonder where she gets her asinine levels of processing power? Parts from Sovereign's wreckage.

Second thing I need is Admiral Hacket leading the fleet to victory.

Nooo, don't you know? We know Hackett is indoctrinated because he says we can't beat the Reapers conventionally. And we know that's not true because that indoctrinated tool Hackett told us that, and who listens to those? No circular reasoning here at all.

I have a burning stupid question, have Bioware ever said that the boxed ending is actually the ending?

I think this little slip-up is as close as you'll get to an answer: http://blog.bioware....012/03/21/4108/ The interesting phrase is this, "The journey you undertake in Mass Effect provokes an intense range of highly personal emotions in the player; even so, the passionate reaction of some of our most loyal players to the current endings in Mass Effect 3 is something that has genuinely surprised us."

... current endings.

Each part is something Shepard has experienced in reality, the hallucinations take elements from those experiences to draw a picture, an example I posted somewhere before, a test subject was lightly sprayed with water while they slept, when they woke they described being on a boat in a rain storm, Shepard had involvement with the collectore base whether to keep it or destroy it, each would have their hallucination affected differently by the outcome.
