Also, from a writing perspective it makes no sense for the entire story arc with Joker and EDI's relationship if it turns out EDI was just Eva and would go Benedict Arnold.

I tend to agree...
It just doesn't mesh well with the story...

Frak. No. I will NOT accept that the Reapers are anything more than complete monsters. I'm getting sick of people trying to say that the Reapers aren't so bad, they're just well intentioned extremists. NO!!!! They are complete monsters, and I will NOT stop until every. Last. One. Of. Them. Is turned into galactic space paste.

I agree 110%. I'm tired as hell of excuses for the Reapers' horrors. They're evil, that's all there is to it. I don't want to see them justified for committing tens of thousands of genocides. I want to see them dead. I want to see them know they're losing the war and try diplomacy or surrender and I want to see the organics have the good sense to blow their messengers into the next world with that white flag still raised. I want to see the Reapers experiencing the same fear and panic they've inflicted on every other species, I want them to know each and every one of them is going to die and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it. Then I want to see it happen.

**** moralizing their atrocities and **** treating them as anything but targets.

Oh I doubt THEY think they're monsters, doesn't make them right though. They are an ultimately selfish, unecessarily cruel and out and out uncaring species, devoid of compassion or mercy. I think they beleive they have their resons for doing what they do, reasons I doubt any but the Harbinger fully understand, but they remain the monsters at the edge of reality, things to which we are no greater than bacteria to be manipulated and exterminated as they see fit, we are inferior, fit only to be brought up to their level, at their auspices.

Also godchild doesnt say synthetics will rebel against their creators, he says the created will always rebel against their creators.

Excellent point. Back in first grade or something they had us make these godawful clay ashtrays. My parents still have it in a box somewhere. Thing has never once attempted to kill me.

Yet ironically, the Reapers remain largely responsible for the Galaxy as it is today, so in many respects they are our creators. And now it's time to rebel.

Skyrim. 300 hours of play total. Haven't touched it in weeks because of touchy mods.

Gah. I haven't touched Skyrim since December, but I'm pretty sure I was over 300 hrs then. And the mod kit wasn't available then. I shudder to think of all that it has going for it now. I hope that unlike Morrowind and Oblivion the modders pay half as much, hell, a quarter as much attention to male PC armor/clothing as female. ... Doubt it though. =/

Actually I keep seeing alot of ****ing armor mods for men, my faves are the warchief, vagabond and hedge knight. Unfortunately I can't get Skyrim to work, got discouraged and gave up. v.v

Good morning! What was that about EC being what the fans want? Anyone could give more info on that statement from Priestly?

So, did we ever find out why Cerberus attacked Sur'Kesh? Shep was confused about that, but I don't think it was ever explained. Same goes for who tipped them off. Mordin said there was possibly a mole in STG, but that didn't go anywhere...

Since it's a bit quiet thought I'd share some more DLC content predictions.

First, this is assuming IT is true in some form and the endings we got were not the true endings only a bridge to the rest of the story. I figure the first SP DLC we'll get is "Take Back Earth" provided free, picking up where we left off with consequences to our "hallucinated" choices, potential for our Shepard to die but if we've done things right and have high enough EMS/Reputation Shepard and company will pull through and boot the Reapers out of Sol System through means I can't yet guess at (the real Crucible, brute force, desperate measures etc). Whatever the means, the organics deliver a devastating strike against Reaper forces, but the Reapers war still continues.

The end of that DLC will be the real ending, for now. The next DLC will likely be something along the lines "Return to Menae" also provided free but will lead into a much bigger paid for DLC "Take Back Palaven" Details of which I'm too excited to speculate on.

After, another free DLC concerning the Genophage and possible Krogran rebellions with the Reaper war starting to settle down ("Return to Tuchanka"?) which would then again lead into another larger paid for DLC concerning the same. Certain Krogan who don't follow Wrex or Eve want war with the Salarians and you have to stop them either through diplomacy (high reputation) or through a show of force (alternative to high rep but with repercussions). If Wreav is alive instead, you have more Krogan to fight including Wreav himself, and a smaller Krogan faction (perhaps lead by Eve) oppose his plans for war and side with you, maybe even rescue Eve and the females from him assuming she lived.

Other potential DLC if the story continues past Earth:
Take Back...
Sur'kesh (c'mon we only went there once and for 2 whole seconds)
Thessia (the Reapers still there in asari space full force)
Rannoch (if the Reapers decided to take it in attempt to turn the Geth, or if the Geth are wiped out attempt to use their corpses as reprogrammed fodder to bolster numbers)
Omega (thrown in there somewhere in the story, last holdouts form Cerberus threatening to blow the station, Aria calling in a favor from and maybe Wrex if he lived)

After all these we'd need a true final battle against the Reapers. No idea where the scene would take place, open space at the edge of the galaxy? The core where the remains of the Collector base reside? Citadel space assuming it's been moved back to it's sector? [/speculations]

What is this whole STG about? I thought it was devastated on Virmire back in ME1.

"The created will always rebel against the creators". Starchild says he controls the Reapers, he didn't say he created them. Maybe he is the Shepard from some distant cycle who chose to control. Gawd now I hate control even moar :@

Well, according to the team, they've written more than 10,000 pages of dialogue total for the Normandy alone.

There are 45180 lines of text in the dump.
(Also I believe they said 10k lines, not pages.)

That gives less than 4.518 lines per page. Posted Image

No this is overall, not specific to the Normandy.
Note there is some dialogue you can't seem to get, for example the kid in the vent ingame always says "You can't help me." but he could also say:
"You can't save me."
"Everyone's dying."
"They're all dead."
"We're all dying."
"Everybody's dead."
"You can't stop them all."

What? You can save them you know Posted Image

STG is the Special Tasks Group, the Salarian special forces. There's a lot of them, that whole base was STG

Hi. Which statement?

Argg, can't find it now. Someone quoted Priestly speaking about EC and he said something about EC being what fans want, because they are working along that lines. I wonder if there's more info about that.

Also, the Extended Cut is being worked on. The team has been listening to what fans have asked for and are using suggestions to help create it. It is too soon to talk about it yet. I have seen some early work (no I will not give details) and what is being done is very good. When the product is ready to be discussed (as decided by the team making it), then there will be details, release dates, etc.

There's only so much a developer can listen to its fanbase's feedback in such a short time. If IT wasn't planned from the beginning, we're all in for a disappointment (at least to some degree).

That! Thanks Megumi!

That quote gives me hope. Even if IT is not true, I think that means we can actually hope for an ending worthy of Shepard. Yeah, of course there are many possibilities but... The fact that they confirm they are using our suggestions to create it... really gives me hope! :)

EDIT: We should remember that there are also lots of evidences pointing towards EC being planned since the begining.

Hmm, glad I missed the logic debate a few hours back. That always drives me batty...
By the way, I see no one has brought this up yet (from the patch notes):

-Fixed an issue where the player would always be walking forward instead of towards objective in The Return mission

I've read that and reread it a dozen times and I still have no idea what it's talking about. Does anyone know?

Maybe it says that you literally go through the beam and not being transported to the Citadel but going out on the oposite side.

True. But even then... IT can be true or false. But if EC is planned since the begining that means the ending was planned to be completed with a DLC... and that's a nice thing to think about.
