Hey! I've just spoken to Shepard's mother. She sounds like a computer-generated voice.

Whut

I discovered things in ME1 I have never played. I've got to speak to Shepard's mother as a part of a subquest.

Whoops, never mind. Just saw that my Shep's background was different. Oh, these interactive storyline...

Now I get it. I played previously as an Earthborn and Shepard's parents were dead.

I feel like someone who just learned that there are different timezones. <_<

And think about people who have 20 different Shepards. Posted Image Mere bookkeeping can be a nightmare.

Well, as Bioware told on PAX: 15 000 plotstates in ME3 (ME1: 3500). I guess BW had it a bit worse.

Ah. Did you know that it's dr. Cakwas' voice actress that does Hannah Shepard?

For a while I didn't even think Shepard's parents were even alive, much less knew them. I always picked the background that doesn't include them I guess.

Also, did you know that the vorcha are voiced by Shepard's voice actor?

Actually, I believe Dr. Chakwas is a separate voice actress. The VA for Hannah Shepard (Jane Singer) does Helena Blake and "additional" voices, but is not listed for ME3. Carolyn Seymour (Chakwas) is only listed for one character.

And yes, Tali even makes a stab at Shepard in the drunk scene saying he sounds like a vorcha.

Makes you think of them with great respect when you imagine the sheer number of possibilities they had to manage during the series. A lot of conditional statements.

No, it's definitely this forum software, it needs bringing upto date, no other forum software gives me this problem, I cannot even remember the last time this forum got an update.

Which is another reason why I don't call them lazy because of a couple of glitches.

Lazy people do not make computer games. BioWare definately is not lazy.

Bugs are common in programming because programs are complex. They can be fixed after release. That's what patches are for.

Yeah, seriously. Every time I see that phrase in a post it makes me want to ask them if they think that they could do a better job themselves. Unfortunately I usually know the answer, however unrealistic it may be.

Rushed? Yes.
Lazy? No.

That line gets tossed in the FemShep conversation, too. Just sounds like a goofy drunken insult in that context.

Agreed. I'm studying programming and dipped my hand in some game programming. It's not easy at all and I can see why they'd reuse or overlook certain things.

Also, I think they are indeed confusing rushed with lazy.

I don't think they meant it to poke fun at the voice actor. I just find it funny that they happen to be the same. Also, BroShep is the standard in ME so it makes sense even if they did intend it.

Man, I must be off my forum-posting game or something.

In context of the BroShep conversation, it's an entertaining nod to Meer since he's also been responsible for the vorcha. In context of the FemShep conversation, it sounds like Tali's just calling her a vorcha while in her drunken stupor.

The fact that they've got that much going on in the catalyst's vocal registry really shouldn't be ignored.
