Another point in the talk with the child:
"The created will always rebel against their creators. But we found a way to stop that from happening. A way to restore order for the next cycle."
Didn't every Reaper you've met say something like "You are chaos, we represent order." which has nothing to do with anything being wiped out?

It's logical. At the beginning there's order (or infinitesimal chaos). Then through the principle of enthropy chaos appears and grows. Then Reapers come, restore order and everything starts again.

I'm not saying anything against the logic behind it but how it's worded. It sounds like the ones that created the Reapers also created organics, then organics always at some point rebel against them so they created the Reapers to hold organics in check while not completely destroying organics.

Really? I didn't get that out of it. But it can be interpreted that way.

See my thread for my opinion on the Stargazer scene.

your theory that the kid represents us is supported even more by the fact that the kid actually has shepard's body I like it a lot

He does?? Did not know that...

yeah it is normally one of the things that people use to say bioware is lazy, but it always seemed odd to me as if they were really trying to reuse materials they could have gone with anybody, why shepard instead of for instance the child from the game himself? I think you've really got something there

Ok, call me stupid, but can one see that it's Shepard's body?

Oh right, at least it's the body of an adult, the head is way too small for a child.

I missed something What body?

The people in the Stargazer scene are not normal. The Stargazer has the body of a giant, and the child has a normal adults body.

I can see megatrees and micropeople there.

Interesting to note: the "but you have to choose" voice is the only in that scene that continues way after the kid finished, there is definitely something.

Another thing:
biod_end002_400guardian_loc_int.end003_catalyst_m_D.Audio.Int.00707117_m
"It is a very elegant solution. And a path you have already started down."
One of the cut lines, it sounds more like they used a different method to morph someones voice. It sounds much more like a morphed voice instead of another voice actor, the pronunciation sounds too similar.

Good thing they cut it, "It is a very elegant solution". Calling your own product elegant is advertising. It would've made Starbinger words more doubtful.

Just ignore them. They just dont like the fact that we arent upset and pissy like they are. It's really sad that they're still on BSN despite the fact that they supposedly despise Bioware and think they have no chance to redeem themselves.

It looks like both Stargazer and Child are facing the camera...
Stargazer... kind of looks like Illusive Man...

Can someone dig through files or flycam it?

That's a pre-rendered scene, aka .bik file, or just a movie file like .avi. You can't flycam through that. It is, like it is. Just like the breath scene, unfortunately.

If it's a path we've started down, why do we need to use the Crucible at all? Why do we need the Reapers?
Unless you mean it's literally the path we have started down, and we have to turn to pick Destroy or Control...

I would like to know what do Bioware workers say between them when talking about these speculations. When I was handling the "secret" during Stargate Worlds alpha testing it was quite funny watching all those threads about how the game was, or who was invited. I suppose this must be "similar".

That's exactly what I'm thinking. They did that with a purpose. I used to think stargazer was the biggest hole in IT but now it makes sense. The conversation they have doesn't make sense in any other context unless it's cryptic. If for instance you chose control with horrible ems, why would anyone have any reason at all to believe shepard had stopped the reaper threat? No one knows what went down in that chamber and all anyone saw was the reapers just fly away lol.

Had a lot of potential. Very nice cover system, very similar to ME. However, it only lived to a very early and basic alpha version. Still I was pretty excited when lurking the forums thinking "guys, you don't know how near from the truth you are". Funny times...

I hope they do the same when watching this thread. That would mean we're not wrong!

Oh, Jesus that's crazy. I had thought the Stargazer looked a little like TIM, but never really actually beileved it. Using the adult character model for the child, though, is just--uncanny, I guess.

What do you make of the planet? By that, I mean, where do you think they are? The two moons seem to suggest Stargazer and Child are on the same planet where the Normandy crashlands (though they're in different orbital positions). I had thought the place where the Normandy crashes looks a hell of a lot like Virmire, and it was, despite Saren's base being there, relatively uncolonized, in ME 1. I don't know what significance there might be in the Normandy ending up there.

Is there some consensus as to what planet this might be, whether Stargazer is on the same planet as the Normandy, etc? (I'm new here, though I've been following IT's development for a while now.)

I *did* think Stargazer looked like TIM as well!! And sounded a little like him, but different voice actor so I fail...
anyway, I think we're meant to believe they're on the same planet where the Normandy crashed: same moons but different climate. It enforced the idea that the crew was forever stuck on the planet and that Stargazer & child were their grandsons or something. :pinched:
