This is why I love this forum and I love this series, and I love these fans. Never before have I met such an immensely dedicated fan base absolutely in love with a franchise who are so dedicated to finding out facts hidden within hundreds of hours of gameplay, looking for hints or any kind of foreshadowing hidden in the tiniest details in the most immense story elements.
Some people call it nitpicking, I call it appreciation.
Even with the ME3's ending, Mass Effect has earned my loyalty.

As per D.Sharrah, this is only my second playthrough, but I do remember that conversation. I've come to the conclusion that a lot of ME3's dialogue is in fact foreshadowing the end. And a lot of the banter dating back to ME1 hints at the fact the Shepard is most likely indoctrinated, or is gradually reaching the point of no return.
Right now I'm trying to think of something that Shepard has that none of his squadmates have, because let's face it, alot of the theories we;ve been throwing around should also state that the squad should also be indoctrinated, because they have been with Shepard all the time. The only exception being Object Rho. Unless the Prothean beacon that Shepard encountered in ME1 was sabotaged by the Reapers, and thus began Shepards decent into indoctrination.
Well you also have to look at it from the Reapers point. Shepard is the Hero of this galaxy and stoped the cycle for 3 more years, and lead a on army Ship/squad all by him/herself with out much help from command. Shepard is also an intrestin spesiman to them because Shepard does anything to stop any threat that my cost lifes and lead a team of elite people to take out the Collectors. So in theroy Shepard is the most intresting organic they have ever incounter and is the only person that my pose as a threat to the Reapers.
Maybe so, but what I'm wondering is why no one else on Sheps squad is indoctrinated. It's never stated that the Reapers can choose who gets indoctrinated and who doesn't, just that whoever is in or near a Reaper or in proximity of a Reaper artifact begins indoctrination.
