Organics have been all over the Citadel so he was probably lying about that just like he was lying about most everything else he says.

I'm not sure if I'm making complete sense of the conversation going on here, but the catalyst saying "here" wasn't meant to be taken as a literal "here" in terms of the Citadel; it's the figurative "here", as in "no organic has gotten to the point where we've needed to reevaluate our decision".

Also, Shepard's still partly organic, no matter how you slice it, and s/he fights for the organic's agenda.  Therefore: organic.

I think the catalyst's telling some truths.  Every word out of its lips isn't a lie.

"The fact that you are standing here, the first organic ever, proves it."

That's the thing though, most people don't take that part as figurative. But really, I think the entire thing ias figurative.

PS. In this video (same one where catalyst says "most of the technology you rely on") he says "The crucible changed me, created new possibilities, but I can't make them happen, and I won't." He doesn't always say "and I won't" does he?

http://www.youtube.c...czhHtqgY#t=975s

He says this at lower EMS. I made a list of the differences I found on youtube versions earlier, but his whole attitude changes atlower EMS. Even lines that stay the same have a different inflection.

Course, it works in IT. Lower EMS, not trying to indoctrinate you as hard, hence "and I won't".

I'd still love to find if they actually used the line about "a path you have already started down". So far haven't found it, and don't know what causes him to say "and most of the technology you rely on" when describing destroy.

EDIT - can't definitively say it's caused by low EMS, sorry, just noticed in the videos I've seen it's been low EMS each time.

Yknow, I remember people talking about how the subtitles switch from calling Anderson just "Anderson" to "Admiral Anderson" after Harby's beam hits you.

It may have been mentioned and I just missed it, but has anyone else noticed in the very beginning of the game, when you first meet Anderson, Shep calls him just "Anderson" but then after the explosion in the Alliance Council room, Anderson gets on the radio, and refers to himself as Admiral Anderson?

I mean, sure, thats how people in the military would refer to themselves, but I find it interesting that it kind of parallels the way the subtitles refer to Anderson in the end, and that both times the change to Admiral occur after Shepard has been knocked out.

Andersons name changes in the subtitles before that (London HQ).

Was playing through Sanctuary this morning a noticed a couple of things...

Sanctuary - the comments you get from some of the logs/datapads (prior to learning what is really going on) seem to suggest that Sanctuary has some of the same characteristics of the Citadel (at least early, as in before the coup attempt) - peaceful, tranquil, safe. Is it possible that this parallel was pointed out on purpose to show that the Citadel may not be what it seems? Plenty of people have theorized that the Citadel is a giant indoctrination device, could this be where TIM got the idea for Sanctuary from?

Loading Screens - Has anyone else noticed that lights on the Citadel loading screens change...I have not noticed any specific pattern, but I have seen yellow, orange and purple. Not sure this means anything, but wanted to make sure that I wasn't going crazy...

Couple more things...

Citadel - Does it really blink (quest indicator) the whole game?  If it does, is this another hint that there is something special/important/odd about the citadel...or is it just a bug?

James - we have all heard the "Do you hear that hum, is that just me" banter...but I think that I noticed today that it seems to play at the end of dialogue strings after missions that have something to do with indoctrination...

Brought this up before...but he actually is referred to Admiral several times throughout the game...primarily from Traynor on the Normandy, there are some missions that he is availble on the comm, and she refers to him as Admiral Anderson.

Well, we managed to finish a silver game when Maximized was there, and we reached wave 9 on gold when he had left.

Felt like a noob just now in the lobby with my ~180 N7.

I wouldn't if I was you. Although I always knew getting a high N7 score was just an indicator of constant promotions not actual skill I've actually came to the realization that most of the high ranked players I've come across (1800+) are pretty crap and probably just farmed firebase white for a week. Some of the easiest gold extractions I've had have been with lower N7 ranked players.

My original plan, before they added promotion as the goal for certain weekends, was to just hit 120 N7 and stay there, since that would mean I have every class at level 20, for when I needed them.

My original plan as well, the only times I've really promoted have been those two weekends and whenever I want to try another build design but have ran out of reset cards. Somehow I've managed to get to the 800s despite my indifference to the whole N7 ranking system.

I went through the whole of London to check, the subs change the moment you walk into the final Hammer briefing (after talking to each of the squadmates).

Wait, does the lower EMS actually dictate the "and most of the technology" line? Have we been missing something obvious?

No, that's what I was saying, I don't know what causes that phrase, only seen it in one or two videos.

<_<

I'd say we should ask the writers, but I doubt Weekes or anyone else available would have input on that particular matter.

That still troubles and fascinates me, and every time I have an idea, it gets shot down. I've also never seen it.  Blargh.

I wish I had something that I could add...but I just can't bring myself to sabotage my EMS that much...so I always have a reasonable EMS (especially with the datapad app keeping my readiness @ 100% Posted Image)...so I don't tend to see some of the variation that is possible...

Imean at times I think that people must roleplay that Shep is daft....and I just can't see that.

Not to mention this

I suspect it was originally intended to be in the conversation if you were defaulting to the collector base choice, but was scrapped due to obviousness. Or perhaps I'm wrong and it is in the game, we just haven't found it.

Hmm, I'm sceptical (though that one screenshot seems pretty damn convincing!).Damn, wish I had a save around the first trip to the citadel to flycam it..

EDIT - also, why would she appear in one and not the other?

Not sure...the difference of fem Shep vs. male Shep?  Ash dead vs. Kaidan dead?  The screens in the thread don't give alot of context...

I know one comment was essentially, "Oh, another asset that they have reused - never thought anyone would notice" - which to me amounts to another example of why Bioware is lazy.  Which I just can't buy...glitch maybe.  Intentional?  That would open up a big can of worms...

The armor looks similar, but the facial profile looks a bit too feminine to be Ashley---as horrible as that sounds. (laughs)
