There's a pretty easy way to answer that: artistic integrity Flycam!

I remember when I made my first flycam video against some of IT. Man I got torn apart for using flycam. Now it's used by both sides at will. Inteserting topic this is.

Very curious to see what the flipside of this scenario reveals.  Is Kaidan actually in the waiting area, maybe?

Here's a good question though... if she's dead since Virmire, why is she wearing armor and a hairstyle that Shep potentially never saw?

Hair down? Yeah, but Shepard's also giving Ashley the armor that she wears during the Reaper Wars, not her previous suit.

Anyway, I always wanted, ever since virmire, to find that whoever I left survived somehow and would return in a later game. This isn't what I imagined lol.

This is a pretty big glitch though. I don't see the IT in this.

Not saying it implies IT, could totally be just a neat thing for Bioware to do. If it was a mistake...the angles are weird. I mean, you could have stashed her model other places in the room that the camera doesn't see. And they must have known the model was there,

As for glitch....eh. I mean, how late into the process of making the cutscene could her model have suddenly appeared?

Still, while Kaiden remains undiscovered I'm willing to accept it's meaningless.

I don't even know if it's a glitch, it makes sense that both Ashley and Kaiden would be loaded into the scene, since either of them could be alive for this, but why they load it into the background all non-chalantly I don't know. They could have just put her under the floorr like the guy who makes the creepy footsteps in Shepards cabin.

It's an awfully strange time to have a slip-up like that.  Carting one Virmire survivor into the hospiral while they're on the brink of death, and you see the other---very much dead---in the background.

But then her face has the same bruises as the ones she gets if she's alive. They probably either didn't notice or knew but was too late to work her out of it so they blurred the background.
