Anyway, I always wanted, ever since virmire, to find that whoever I left survived somehow and would return in a later game. This isn't what I imagined lol.

This is a pretty big glitch though. I don't see the IT in this.

I don't even know if it's a glitch, it makes sense that both Ashley and Kaiden would be loaded into the scene, since either of them could be alive for this, but why they load it into the background all non-chalantly I don't know. They could have just put her under the floorr like the guy who makes the creepy footsteps in Shepards cabin.

I know, just making the observation. You're right though, they could have put her under the floor like they do with other models, unless that floor was special lol.

If Kaiden was here, I'd say you guys had something. But then Shepard walks right past her and no one else seems to care. I mean Ashley Williams is supposed to be dead and she's just standing there, bruised up.

I wouldn't say that just because Kaidan lacks a presence that it's meaningless. Maybe Kaidan is hidden in another scene? I will also say that it doesn't implicitly point at IT, either. I do think that it's intentional though, an easter egg meant for the player to catch out of the corner of their eye and think "Woah, who was that? Looked almost like Ash!"

I saw that last bit on parabolees blog, but I disagree that's it's evidence for indoc. I mean, even in the literal meaning you do kind of become a reaper in control.

EDIT- although those last three options are interesting....possibly for debugging? Max and min values...not sure about demo...

It might not be something nudging towards indoctrination, but that line of code isn't very sensitive to the pro-control camp. "AssumeDirectControl" or "HarnessCompleteControl" or something along those lines would have been much easier to explain after the files have been picked apart than "BecomeAReaper".

I don't think anyone wants it to be a wild goose chase.  

If it's an asset oversight, though, it's one with very unusual, thematically-relevant circumstances.

The more I see stuff like this the more I believe that the Dark Energy script was the real deal. In that script you become a reaper. In the current endings you control all reapers.

Felt like a noob just now in the lobby with my ~180 N7.

I wouldn't if I was you. Although I always knew getting a high N7 score was just an indicator of constant promotions not actual skill I've actually came to the realization that most of the high ranked players I've come across (1800+) are pretty crap and probably just farmed firebase white for a week. Some of the easiest gold extractions I've had have been with lower N7 ranked players.
