I saw that last bit on parabolees blog, but I disagree that's it's evidence for indoc. I mean, even in the literal meaning you do kind of become a reaper in control.

EDIT- although those last three options are interesting....possibly for debugging? Max and min values...not sure about demo...


The more I see stuff like this the more I believe that the Dark Energy script was the real deal. In that script you become a reaper. In the current endings you control all reapers.

I'm don't remember the planned dark energy plot very well, but do you guys think it could be in the EC? Would that work?

Didn't realize that pointing the thread in that direction would lead to pages of speculation...I do agree, if it is a glitch - the timing, thematically, etc. makes it super creepy. Don't think it has anythign do with IT, but interesting enough as is.

And on that note, back on topic...

While playing SP today I seemed to notice something about the James "Hum" banter...is it just me, or does it seem to occur at the end of dialgogue strings that happen after missions that have heavy indoctrination implications (for example, it comes up after Sanctuary).

The enum is in the engine, not the pcc files.

Not a chance. In that script, you don't meet with a child, you meet with Harbinger. Harbinger then explains that the reason they harvest is because the reapers do "something" that stop dark energy from ripping the galaxy apart. In each cycle, they create a reaper based on the best civilization in hopes that that civilization's attributes are good enough to end the threat of dark energy. 

They take super interest in humans because we have everything they need to end the threat of galactic destruction. So there will be two option ONLY. One is to allow the harvesting and potentially save the galaxy from ripping apart this cycle and future cycles and control your own human based reaper(Become a reaper) or destroy the reaper and risk the galaxy being destroyed eventually.

That's not going to fit at all. And to be honest, I prefer the dark energy explanation.

If placing the other, dead Virmire survivor in the framework of the scene is nothing but a digital hiccup, then that'll be a line crossed for me. I understand why they're linked and something like this can't be avoided, but seeing the ghost of a dead person in the background when Shepard's likely suffering a form of post-trauma stress is an awfully-big, theme-heavy "mistake".  That's one of those things you make sure is air-tight.

There's a difference between roaming body models and seeing something that's never meant to be seen, and it being that poignant.

Wow. It's been awhile. I just got back from playing Dragon's Dogma and...well let's just say I didn't think there would be a NEW game that could have a worse ending then ME3's current ones...Capcom proved me wrong...

so...what did I miss? I read about the flycam thing with Ashley or Kaidan, but how does that fit into IT? I skipped over ALOT of pages as you can imagine, being gone so long, so I'm not following this clue lol.

Yes I know it's her and I've observed the models moving around durin cutscenes. My comment was more about how nobody reacted to her being there. SS2Dante said he read in another thread that Shepard didn't notice because his/her back was turned.

I've been thinking. In the game, husks, cannibals, marauders, banshees, etc are often called "reaper forces". Become a Reaper could mean that you are not becoming a Reaper like harbinger, but that you just became a Husk, or something similar... basically, you become part of the reaper forces.

That won't explain why Synthesis is called Harmony of man and machine... so my Theory has a big hole. Unless you assume that it mey refer to a harmony like when the Geth where controlled by the Reapers, using Legion to control all of them. In this case using Shepard to somehow control the humans. That could explain why it's called Harmony of MAN and machine, and not Harmony of Organics and Machine. But I see it kinda difficult to be true.

Opened up the file in hex editor, asides fromthe game having different "if" loops ready to run based on whether you lived or died (in itself very interesting), it really does check for a lot of variables with the ending sequence.

Certainly doesn't seem like something worth doing for a "finished" product....

Another speculation confirmed. As femshep is also recording... There is obviously more dialogue for Shepard in EC. Great news. Great news indeed.
