Wait, I know this one!  Is it.... TIM's base!?  No, wait, Tuchanka!  No no, wait, Rannoch!

Not sure if real or trolling, but anyway:
Think of the outer wall as the Presidium and the middle tower as the Predidium Tower and the top of that in this picture as where you choose.

He was joking I'm sure, it really does look like the catalyst room yeah.

Congrats, you missed the point. That is a huge scene that requires a lot of texture loading/unloading. The marauder shields/beam scene is not.

The bodies are already loaded when you run at the beam, and that involves a huge amount of textures and models as well. Could be they simply didn't want to change the piles that were already there.

Anyhoo, neither of us are on the dev team so I suppose we ain't able to reach a conclusion here anyway :P

I guess I should have put a jk at the end, huh? ;)  It reminds me of the platform where the TIM/Anderson confrontation takes place.

Edit: I could see where you get the Catalyst room from that, too.

I really dont understand how you can dismiss such a blatant clue as a "necessary evil" due to resource limitations. It fits the context of IT perfectly to look at it as a symbol of Shepard's guilt and waning resolve. Your choice, though.

They've always had those kind of lyrics, I actually like this song, sounds more like old school linkin park to me....

Yeah I do like this song better but I will always be a fan of their first album

Was starting to reply to some posts from yesterday but realized I was too far behind to bother. But I had started with one regarding Starbinger's mystery attitude change. How sometimes he's... "moody" and sometimes diplomatic. After checking through a bunch of old saves, that flag seems to be set at the end of the Tuchanka storyline. I'm thinking it's dependent on whether you sabotaged the genophage cure. If you did, starbinger is ****y to you in general. Can anyone verify this? Have they gotten pissy starbinger after having cured the genophage or polite starbinger after having sabotaged it?

Yep, the first is the best, buuut I think we're far enough off topic as it is.

I know it said that there may not be any gameplay in the EC.... but I sure hope there is. I also hope they add EVEN MORE clues for indoctrination throughout the game, stranger dreams or something.

Someone posted an excellent idea not too long ago about Shepard having some sort of indoctrination nightmare related to their background history that you picked in ME1. Would be really cool if they did something like that. But they'd have to find a way for it to tie in to the ending for it to make sense.

I remember, something about how if you born on Earth there should be destroyed buildings around, if born on a colony they could stick with the trees, and if you're a spacer is could be the decaying inside of a ship. Then in the end they just add te respective cubemap for the reflections.

Saren was a tremendous ***hole long before finding Sovereign, but was definitely more a racist anti-hero than a villain.

Yeah, but I've given up trying to convince people of that. They just need to read the first novel to get it.

Or pay attention to what people say in the game.

He believed he was doing the right thing. Even if it was bad, that doesn't make him an evil person. Rather a tragic one. I hope that makes sense to you. Posted Image

Just wanted to jump in here and say, Saren was actually brutal, he would take out an entire village to get to his quarry, and to show how cold and calculating he is, when he met up with Anderson and Kahlee at Grissoms home, he wanted to kill them but realised there was the possibility of witnesses nearby, and did not want to risk losing his spectre status by causing an interspecies incident, he also used Kahlee as bait and watched as the convoy taking her to safety was attacked, he did not care if she died so long as Skar showed up, Skar was a krogan merc that Saren was hunting, nah, Saren is no anti-hero, he's just a cold calculating murderer with a badge, but I do still take the paragon route with him, I love to watch him put a bullet through his own head.

Hmm.. perhaps they took out the "elegant solution" part on purpose..

Think of it like this, the Catalyst already makes it seem like he favours Synthesis over everything else. Hence calling it the "final evolution of life". Now, if he called the Control option an "Elegant solution" wouldn't that ALSO make him seem biased towards controlling? Leaving only destroy as the one option he doesn't say anything special about... infact, he says negative things towards it.

These lines intrigue me.

The second one is the standard Synthesis line.
The first one is intriguing indeed. It's a cut dialog, but when you extract it you can hear it's either another VA or they had other settings for voice morphing. It sounds more like voice morphing as is pretty close to how the current VA speaks his lines which would make the child voice a morphed voice.

Part of my problem with it is that it suggests the indoctrination began in the transport ride, and I just don't buy that, it's narritively cheap.

Isn't it funny, everyone has that bit of evidence they consider strong but others don't? Like for me, hearing the kid scream when his shuttle is shot down.

I wouldn't want to hear this song at the end of ME3 though. Besides the lyrics sorta fitting, the tone and style of the music does not mesh with Mass Effect's themes. ME3 needs moar Faunts.
