I have a question for the IT'ers...what do you consider to be gameplay? What does Bioware? Is it combat? Is it dialogue? What is gameplay?
I ask, because I continue so see the "There will be no new gameplay" line thrown out there, every single time someone tries to make a comment on interperting what happens in the ending...
For me, with a game like ME 3, that is supposed to be conversation driven - I would consider "new" dialogue as gameplay. A very small amount of gameplay, yes...but gameplay nonetheless.
Never saw any responses to this...and my curiousity will not let it go.
It might be interactive cutscenes like the confrontation with TIM but much more extended. With decision affecting not only the immediate dialogue but further decisions.
The question then becomes do you, anyone, Bioware...consider that gameplay? If not, then the "no new gameplay" thing is accurate...but if not...
I like to think that BioWare is going to make us a surprise and give us what is traditionally considered gameplay.
Then more pointedly, do you think that Bioware considers dialgoue "traditional" gameplay?
Edit: For example, let's say that the EC ends up containing ~30-45 minutes of content, the majority of that cutting from cinematics and for this example we'll say 20-25 minutes, then 10-15 minutes of dialogue, and 5-10 minutes of epilgous slides, but no combat. Would the 10-15 minutes of dialogue be gameplay? Would it Bioware consider it gameplay? Would you?
