The whole run looks surreal because I don't remember if there is any other scene in ME3 where the camera has such a wide and long-range view of the area. The only other similar is on Ilos when you drive (a MAKO) towards the Conduit.TSA_383 wrote...
Also, reposting something I just put up in another thread, because I think there's an important point...TSA_383 wrote...

Here is the video of the end scene I am talking about.

A few thoughts:
1-I think you're probably right.
2-Holy **** is that how bad ME3 looks on consoles or is someone playing with settings turned down?
3-It's the audio again...
Before
you even get into the mako, you've got the dream sequence delay/reverb
on all the voices, just at a slightly lower level, listen to it.
Then
you go to the mako run, and the camera pointedly pans out of that
warning sign, Alliance with a sign pointing to the lightning bolt we see
so often next to the child, you know what you're headed for
There's the crash, then everything goes even more surreal.
Then
the run - and when you get hit by harbinger's beam that same music that
is ONLY in the dreams and the choice scene apart from here comes in
briefly.
I never thought I'd say this but it's actually kind of obvious...
Btw, when Shepard steps into the beam the sequence is similar to the one on Ilos with the camera pointing rapidly to the sky.
