Hmm...very interesting indeed.  I can't imagine what it is that they'd be playtesting though (I'm assuming it's not the EC).

It could be the EC - everyone who signs up has to sign a NDA.

I have a quick question regarding a theory of mine (will be postet later).

Do we know if anyone in the galaxy has access to plans of the citadel?
Like indepth maps or blueprints?
Or to be more precise - do we know if something like this exist?

Doubtful. The Citadel is maintained by the Keeepers only. In ME1 there's a subquest where you scan the Kepers to get to know their workings. Apart from that the Citadel's internals are an unknown.

In that case we can assume, that it's highly unlikely that the citadel is the catalyst. At least if we stick to face value.
As far as I know, our cuddlefish-friends aways assaulted the citadel first - so how could the first scientists at that time even start building something that huge and complicated as the crucible without direct access/plans to/of the most important part of their device?

i.e. I saw the breath scene again today and noticed some... stuff.. and I wanted to see if any of the shapes and angles matched up.

You mean the mako in the background? I think someone in this thread did a comparison a while back.

It would fit perfectly with Shepard being knocked out by Harbies beam though, since there was a Mako with him on the run.

Kinda. I want to see if that's a Mako or not. Same with the "curved Reaper metal", which I don't think fits. It has some specific patterns and an asymmetrical two-line pinstripe that I haven't matched to anything yet. All I can say is that it looks like a paint pattern and not a seam. There's also three specific pieces/layers. Also looking at the angles of whatever tech that is in the background as the camera stops panning. Another thing is that Shepard was implied to have been riding in an M-080 APC up to the beam, not an M-35 Mako. If that wreckage in the background is an M-080, it gives credance to the theory that Shepard starts hallucinating when the screen cuts to black before the run down the hill.

I'm viewing the breath scene at 1080p on youtube, but if anyone has a brightened/higher contrast version they know of, I'd like that too.

It always looked more like m 080 or tomkah to me...

Reverse engineering is one option. The other is that the Citadel is considered as a black box and used without understanding of its influence on the main Crucible gun. After all, the Citadel just accelerates what the Crucible fires.

Yeah, the Crucible blue print could just say, "put four USB ports at each arm and they plug&play with the Catalyst". After all, every good piece of technology allows itself to be used as a black box, as most people know from ipods.

The development of all other DLC was specifically postponed so that they could focus on the EC. That means that we can be fairly sure that they're, in fact, talking about the EC.

"Like it or not commander, you're a hero to these men and women. Don't discount the effect that can have on them."

Major Coats sais this in the forward operations base. Normally one wouldn't think much of that sentence but it actually does fit in nicely with the "Coats is a reaper agent" theory. In detail i think it's referring to the fact that some might follow an indoctrinated shepard too.

I'm playing the ending right now, so if i notice anything else I'll let you guys know.

Nevermind then.
The whole crucible business remains shifty imho. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

Let me remind everyone again that there is no Catalyst in the literal ending. Catalysts don't change.

-Can't be Starbinger, because the "Crucible changed [him]"

-Can't be the Citadel, because it explodes

-Can't be Shepard, because he dies/is turned into a husk/is severely injured

-In IT, Stabinger still can't be the Catalyst

@Ethan Saunders made a good point. If the Reapers attacked the Citadel first in Javik's cycle, what was the purpose of building the Crucible if it needed the Citadel to be fully functional???

Problem A: I guess I need to run it by using command prompt? Not a terrible problem I guess.
Problem B: Which directory are the actual 3d models located in? I'm looking in CookedPC, but the file extensions are .pcc etc. Not the file extension in the tutorial vid. Additionally, the file names themselves are a bit misleading, since a lot of them seem to imply that they're sound effects. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong directory, or need another program to find the 3D models?

Another possible foreshadowing is this...
"Kalahira, this one's heart is pure, but beset by wickedness and contention."
"His last moments were those of a hero. Why pray for salvation?"
"The prayer was not for him Commander. He has already asked forgiveness for the lies he has taken. His wish was for you..."
Also it's my favorite moments of the game

Okay first of all you're looking in the right place,
CookedPC is where all of the game files are. Those .pcc files are packages that
contain the game models, Umodel basically opens those and extracts whatever
files are within. You can use Umodel simply by dragging the file you want over
the icon to open it up. Once it’s open in umodel you can just scroll through
the files inside using the page up or down key and to extract them just use
ctrl + x.

EDIT: Like it was said before, if we do get Protheans in MP then 2/3 of "The Truth" DLC rumor is true.

That image just implies that there will possibly be future DLC that will add the Protheans and their assault rifle to multiplayer. Nothing to do with indoctrination really.

Actually it does because part of "the truth" DLC included Protheans in multiplayer, so if it's true that there will be protheans in multiplayer than that means that about 2/3 of that rumor was true.... the last 3rd being the SP content.
