Reaper logic in a nutshell:


Harby: 'Why resist us? We preserve every important aspect of the civilisations we harvest.'

Shep: 'You just build a statue shaped like a grotesque abomination of one of their individuals inside the new reaper. That's not "preserving a civilisation"'

Harby: 'But we build it out of the liquefied remains of their molten bodies.'

Shep: 'How does that help? That makes it even worse!'

Harby: 'Anyway, it's still absolutely necessary to do it every 50 000 years or synthetics will wipe out not just the peak of the evolved organics, but all organics indiscriminately.'

Shep: 'So you synthetics destroy organics to prevent organics from developing synthetics that destroy organics? What if a cycle only takes 49 000 years to develop such omnicidal robots? What if they don't develop dangerous synthetics at all?'

End result: SPECULATION FOR EVERYONE

I also think it would be a wise choice for BioWare to hold back reavealing IT until Mass Effect 4 and develop a full game with tens of hours of gameplay. Though it'd upset people who want answers now.

I was watching on Spike TV.  All Bioware talked about was Star Wars: The Old Republic.  There was nothing about ME at all.  I would have at least thought that they'd announce SOMETHING about ME, EC or not.

He IS synthetic is he not? Wouldn't it actually be much easier to just come in and scold anyone who makes a sentient AI?

Even at face value there must be a reason they want to keep organics around, and for some reason I don't think it's "cause they actually care about our well being.....

The way I heard it they only said they weren't going to talk about the EC.  At this point, I'd just settle for info on Retake Omega or something else in that vein.
