Son of a... Dude!  That's awesome!  This is great!  I'd like to hear what the anti-ITers have to say about this.  And, for when they see this, I have a challenge for them.  Don't blame it on bad writting, don't blame it on bugs or glitches, and don't just dismiss it.  Actually provide a reason for WHY there are no birds in Synthesis and Control.

You know as well as I do that pro-enders and anti-ITers cant do that for over half of our evidence. <_<

They would say it's a glitch, lighting or textures. Besides, they can always say they don't see any birds in Destroy. Posted Image

I could provide more pictures - concerning my other questions aswell- but the size is terrible with photobucket..

Edit: Really?? I had no birds in Synthesis.

I use imageshack.

Well, I can say this much. I just watched the Synthesis and Destroy endings. I didn't see the flock up by the mountain, but if you look between the fins on the Normandy, you can see little birds flying. It looked like there were more of them in Destroy than Synthesis, but I could be mistaken.

Edit: If anyone's looking for the birds.  Look right above the right fin on the Normandy.  In Destroy, there's a flock of birds there, in Synthesis and Control, there are no birds.

Do you see the planets in the sky? This is the same planet Stargazer is standing on in the last scene.

Similar, yes. But I am not convinced they are the same.

EDIT**

Upon closer inspection I can see the moon off to the right side of the picture. Maybe it is the same planet as the Normandy crash and if it is perhaps the stargazer scene is just Spepard imagining herself as a legend and people many years later retelling her story.

Reminded me: but you did get a third squadmate right behind the bushes (not visible in this picture). Did we interpret that, already?

BTW, nice find with the birds, Rain_JDC!

I dunno, I just watched the three endings and this is looking like bunk.

Upon closer examination, the birds appear to be randomly placed. Here are the birds at a different location at the same moment in a breath-scene Destroy ending:

Posted Image

They are directly above the hull of the ship.

Truly "choreographed down to the second".

You see! How much good Control does. It even brings that poor boy who died because of Shepard back from the dead. Posted Image

Wow, the train noises are obvious! Also, you can see him turn into the "real" kid as soon as Shep first grabs the thingy.

If there's this in Control, and the Predator in Destroy, what small thing are we missing in Synthesis? Posted Image

Weird. Curious question for more data-minded individuals: are randomly-generated elements, like periphery birds, potentially indicative of an interactive environment?

Good question. The sad thing is I noticed the train sounds (at least the Horn part anyway) when I initially picked control on my first playthrough, but I dismissed it as if I was just hearing things.

I'm not sure what we could be missing in Synthesis. Unlike Control and Destroy, its a fairly straightforward beast. Shepard leaps into the beam, huskifies, and disintegrates...

The bodies in the sky are the same as those in the Paradise planet scene, just a different time of day (night) and year (winter).

Well, the Normandy crash is actively rendered. Any actively rendered scene can contain randomly placed elements, if coded to do so. It doesnt necessarily mean player control will be available at any time.

I'm just trying to figure why there are the circuit board patterns on everyone.  I mean, if the synthesis was based on Shep's combination of organic and synthetic components, then why are they MUCH more noticeable on EVERYONE after the green explosion.

Yeah I noticed. What do you think of the possibility that this scene is also part of the dream? Just Shepard imaginng herself as a legend many years later?

I'm inclined to think that the birds relate to EMS... not sure, since I've seen them in all endings so far but control.

But SERIOUSLY holy CRAP! I just saw that "extra squadmate"! Looks like a turian, but Garrus is hopping out of the Normandy... maybe Saren? lol

The Synthesis ending is bogus no matter how you look at it. There are so many things wrong with it, walls of text can be borne from them. Every organic or synthetic appears to get luminescent lines of code that magically flow across their body. That would be an unreasonable stretch in any science fiction storyline.

I doubt it. I think the Stargazer scene is a message to the players from Bioware

No hard feelings, and I give you credit for looking. Even if this turns out to be bunk, don't let it stop you. You may find other things that have been glossed over by the rest of us.

:)
