I just see scratched armor mate... Yeah there's that tiny red stain on his chest, but I don't see that near his abdomen. Maybe if I could actually see the skin I would think that there was a wound there. But I only see blood come from his abdomen below the dent in a single scene, where he bleeds out after Andy passes...

Ok... it still doesn't look any different than the rest of his armor, there are small bloodstains there but theyre also on his chest and other places.
This! They're no going to create two models where the only difference is almost unnoticable blood stains. Please give it up.
I'm just trying to prove that there IS a wound, that's all.
Actually, no, there isn’t a wound. Trust me, I’ve been working with this model in the UDK on and off for the past two days. The only thing that changes with this armour at all is that after the confrontation with TIM, a specular map is added to Shepards armour and arms, which gives them a more bloody appearance.
But my point is, that the wound is there from the begining.
