That's wierd! So... what does it mean?
I theorized that the shockwave from both endings metaphorically highlights the "tool" used to make that choice.
In the Destroy ending, Shepard's tool is his "good guy Predator", and no longer is stuck wielding "Scumbag Carnifex"
In Control, Shepard's tool is the persuasions of Starbinger, so Starbinger becomes highlighted as vent boy for a moment when the shockwave hits. I think the implications of that are quite clear...
