We have nothing but time to waste until the EC is released. Why do you care how we do it? What does how we are perceived have anything to do with you? Why does it bother you at all? This isn't about goading you into being more productive, but if "making you more productive" is warning you about falling over the precipice into investigating optical illusions as if they were real, then yes.

If there's anything I'm failing to do in this arguement, it's agreeing with the evidence I've been shown. This is part of discussion, agreements and disagreements, and if me disagreeing with what you've shown is what you considered a diversion then I have nothing more to discuss with you. We're talking about a picture that supposedly shows Big Ben. I'm saying its a likely just pareidolia and warning you that that type of thing is likely illusory and poor evidence. I've also stated that this is out of desire to help, not just because I feel like being argumentative. It doesn't get more clear-cut than that.

Why do I care how we waste our time during the wait for the EC? I don't, to a point. But that doesn't mean I think we should fall for every little thing that we investigate as something significant.

If that is your stance on this issue, it calls into question your opinion on the purpose of this thread.

On the control-only ending, yes, that would have to be my guess as well. Though its just a guess since there is really no way to have any supporting evidence for a conclusion, that I'm aware of.

For the TIM in ME2 thing, there are different theories about that. My favorite is that the Reapers actually want Shepard's consciousness to somehow be implanted as the consciousness for the Human Reaper (a control chip would have rendered him useless for that purpose). It would explain, among other things, why TIM and the collectors were obsessed with finding his corpse and bringing him back to life. It would also explain why Shepard is seemingly maneuvered towards being "delivered" to the collector base. I think they were hoping to capture him there, rather than him blow it up. But, thats just my favorite theory. There are others.

So, in the opposite scenario, where you resist TIM and destroy the base and are also lax about war assets, they only offer you destroy under the theory that you are now useless?  But if you saved the base and were lax about war assets, then you are worthwhile for indoctrinating?  I mean if the answer to the first question is yes, then I hope the EC is Shepard on a spike being turned into a husk.

Why use Shepard's conciousness for a reaper?  If he retains his conciousness, he is opposed to what the reapers are doing.  How is that going to mesh with the group dynamic (no invitation to the reaper Xmas party, I would assume)?  And if he doesn't retain his conciousness, what would be the point?  And if they wanted to do this, why not have the Collectors pick him up when they blow up his ship?

All three of you have been arguing and wasting time, burying evidence under pointless debate that in the end will convince no one and go NO WHERE. Unschuld, don't like it, don't agree with it, ignore it, if they want to waste their time, let them.

Turbo, Hellish, if you want to discuss these pictures, it might be best to do it via PM until you can come up with something conclusive, since right now you're only getting people excited over something that could be nothing. If you want to discuss it here, do so, but enough arguing either way. It serves no purpose of any kind.

Either way, I am sick of watching OR taking part in the argument, you don't agree, we get it. Done.

If you don't discuss your speculations it just piles up, one wrong speculation can get the basis of a new speculation etc. Sure you can waste your time but seriously questioning yourself if what you're stating can even be true doesn't hurt sometimes. This is an example of a willfully placed effect that only occurs one frame, but trying to see Big Ben in that image is nonsense.

I already do that. I did it the first time Turbo brought it up. I'd dig up the posts where I contested the issue a day or two ago, but I really dont care at this point, because I really, really want to move on past this subject.

Yes you want to move on, but it's not always about you. It's not the first time you interrupted a discussion about something because you already made up your mind and wanted to move on (gun). Give other people time to get all the pros and cons into play if some don't satisfy everyone.

That is one possible interpretation of the low-EMS ending, yes. It is supported by the Starchild's attitude towards shepard "WHY are you here?" etc. I think there are other interpretations too though, but I cant recall them at the moment.

For the second part, well, it fits the context of the Reapers needing to fully indoctrinate Shepard, since a non-indoctrinated Shepard would not be viable for a Reaper consciousness. Basically its just a possible reason why they want and need him so badly. If you give in to the options of Control or Synthesis, it can be intepreted as giving in to Reaper philosophy, thus making him a viable consciousness for a Reaper. But really this is just my favorite theory on the subject. The more popular theory is that they want to indoctrinate Shepard so they can simply use him as a means of demoralizing or otherwise undermining the rest of the galaxy.

Could possibly support the idea that your available choices are not related to the strength of the Crucible. Or it could just be a horrible flaw in the design of the EMS system. I suppose it would be up to the individual to decide which to believe.

Seriously, I tried to put a stop to this argument before it even started. The proof is in black and white several pages back. He continued to engage, then Arian jumped in, so I have no choice but to either respond, or ignore them. And ignoring someone is passive-aggressive and even worse than arguing. I dont condone it unless the person is a straight up troll.

I seem to recall someone suggesting that the warping effect of the snapshot of the Reaper bore some kind of significance. I'm not positive, but I think it was that the warping effect somehow signifies that a Reaper influence was present in Javik's mind. Not sure, though. Plus, it is a really brief snippet, so I'm not sure how much it could be intended to mean.
