Welp. Fell off the railing walking toward the dancers in Purgatory, then fell through purgatory into the presidium, then fell through the presidium into a void. Not really IT related, I know, but I'm gonna see where else things like this are possible since I'm on console and can't use flycam.

Here's my contribution:

Think about the themes present in the geth vs quarian plotline (especially if you made peace); how do they relate to the ideas presented by the Catalyst in the end?

Hmm, depends... What was in the void? Was it something like this:devil:

Hah! Sadly there was nothing. Literally nothing and after a certain point of falling I think the framerate just nopes off into the sunset. The pause menu doesn't even work if you bring it up.

Yay for being upset about discussions, but fine with senseless spam while spamming away posts which have at least some thought behind them. So glad we had that discussion a few pages back... not.

Let me start:

The codex entry for indoctrination mentions "oily shadows". Do you see any oily shadows in the game?

Let's see... 10 clues eh?

1. Notice the boy. Doesn't he act a bit strange for a boy of 9?

2. Where is Harbinger?

3. Hmm, what's wrong with that gun? Try reloading it.

4. Did you see something behind you in the Collector hall? Turn around and look.

5. The Illusive Man isn't acting quite like himself, is he? I wonder why. And who is Anderson talking to?

6. The Illusive Man was really in favor of Control. Who supported Synthesis?

7. The Citadel looks really familiar, doesn't it?

8. I wonder what the significance of those dreams are. Why is there whispering? What are those shadows?

9. Shepard's eyes look strange in the Control and Synthesis endings. Maybe you should look a bit closer.

10. There are alot of bodies along the beam run. I wonder who they belong to.

byne wrote...

I'd say:

Anderson represents destroy, TIM represents control, can you think of anyone who represents synthesis?

Maybe with a follow up of:

If you thought of someone like that, are they similar to either Anderson or TIM in some way?

Edit: Ninja'd by Arian! *shakes fist*

How about this,

Most airvents seem to make a lot of noise when people crawl around inside them. Can you think of any times where this isn't the case?

What else? Folks agree or disagree with these, specific ones in particular?

Does the rubble in Shepard's Breath scene look familiar? Where have you seen it before?

Does it seem odd that Shepard surived the "Destroy" ending while being partly Synthetic? Could the Catalyst have been lying about other things?

Do you hear that hum? Is that just me?

Yeah, I was thinking about a general "Can you trust The Catalyst?" hint.

Well, I guess that's kinda obvious based on my signature.

ok the complete set would be (in that order, ignore the file names):

http://www.thundermo...th/ME3/reap.jpg
http://www.thundermo...h/ME3/reap2.jpg
http://www.thundermo...h/ME3/reap1.jpg
Notice the outward distortion even Javiks image has.
Now a bit later you get one frame of the Collectors:
http://www.thundermo...h/ME3/clctr.jpg
(followed by another frame where the distortion is extreme)
and one of the last frames, second last time we see Javik:
http://www.thundermo...th/ME3/jvk1.jpg

We can only theorize about the meaning of this effect, but it has a meaning otherwise BW wouldn't have done it in a movie where every 2 frames the scene switches to another.

The coloring and distortion looks somewhat similar to the "bad ending" in Arrival.

I can never figure out if we can consider From Ashes "canon" or not.

Because it's optional DLC. I guess a better term is "core canon".

So, the general consensus in the Mike Gamble tweet thread today is that Bioware is going to cut off the IT people and the anti enders even though we are thE vocal majority according to a number of polls. That makes sense! NOT!!

Apparently, they believe that the SDCC announcement will not contain the IT.

@dreamgazer I would guess it's probably considered canon, although ME canon has always been a little hard to define.

If Bioware made it it's canon, ok? There's no such thing as "core" canon, it's a term made up by literalists.

That's not the general concensus. (laughs)

They've been saying that they're going to let the EC do the talking.  I believe they're going to let the EC do the talking.

To be fair, "core" canon could be interpreted as canon that is established to occur regardless of player choice, while anything else falls under "player" canon, or something like that. Makes sense to me, anyway.

Not that I'm saying how that applies to DLC, though.

Nothing, they are just making invalid assumptions as usual.  This is his tweet, just saying that he had stuff to announce:

... eh?

I didn't "know" about the shift in asari religious beliefs, the presence of indoctrinated agents in Javik's cycle, and Javik's staunch pro-destroy position until my third play-through, when I nabbed a From Ashes DLC code for cheap.

That's why I ask.  It alters perception.

I replied to your post.

It was independent from any post I made.

But to answer the question of your post (which I didn't notice because of all the spam btw) you can just overlay the two Javik pictures, it's about the same.
Same for the Collectors as there are 3 other frames with them in the video.

I can definitely understand your desire for clarification, given that you didnt have Javik until your third playthrough. That would indeed alter one's perception.
