First I am amazed you read Cracked.

Second, I hadn't considered that, there is the possibility they may do something along the lines of Mass Effect: Genesis however. Or they may re-release Mass Effect entirely.

Though I do agree with Cheese. Having a screen on the big ass controller seems like a really stupid idea if you do everything in real time. The "minigames and different veiws" is a cool idea... if you do it right, kinda like the Kinect, some companies will use this well and to it's full effect. Others... won't.

I'm still kinda torn on the Kinect. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it doesnt.

My xbox died recently so I got a new one, and figured I'd get one bundled with the Kinect.

The Kinect seems to like intepreting battle sounds as orders. Liara yelled something in battle, and the Kinect was all 'Whats that? You want to change from your Wraith to your Predator? No problem!' which was in no way helpful.

Also once it misinterpreted what I said when Liara asked if I was still interested in her at the beginning of ME3 and shot her down. I dont think the two options even sounded remotely similar either.

Rejecting Liara was the Kinect's final mistake. It no longer gets to be plugged in during ME3 gameplay.

I never said Mass Effect was one that did. :?

I was talking about the companies that made dancing games.

I know you didnt, but thats the only one I've actually tested it with so far.

Dancing games are just silly if you ask me, so I dont count them.

I dont play video games to exert myself physically. If I did, I'd literally have no reason to ever go outside.

I'm not trying to win, I've come to the conclusion that arguing with someone who believes BW sucks at writing or is lazy is no different than arguing with a solipsist. For those who don't know, that's someone who believe's that nothing other than themself is real. You can't show them evidence because it goes against their core belief.

I already knew what solipsism was because a talking T-Rex taught me all about it.

Alright, so just finished my third playthrough, and thought I might share a few observations with you guys. Its all probably been said before, or it doesn't matter, but whatever.

1. During your conversation with TIM, when you ask him why bother with Shepard and Anderson, he says "Because I need you to believe". Makes sense, if TIM's not really there and its just the reapers trying to make Shepard "believe" and become indocrinated.

2. Starchild states that the created will always rebel against their creators, and that he (the reapers) are the solution to this. What if the "created" he means are all the galaxy's races, which rebel against their "creators" the reapers. The reapers would then be the solution to that problem. Its a bit of a stretch, but eh, so are a lot of things on this thread, lol.

1. Has been said before but good observation. And more to the point, earleir in the game he's quoted as saying he no longer needs you/you've outlived your usefulness or something to that effect (don't have the exact line).

2. Has been brought up, and it's very possible that's what he means. Especially given that the Geth (the AI's of our cycle) only rebeled against their  creators because they were threatened (The Creators try to destroy the Created). Not only that you can bring peace between Geth and Quarian, partially debunking the Catalyst's arguement for Organic vs Synethic. Only partially because for all we know Our cycle is the only one where Synethetics ally themselves with Organics and work together.

So, after Starbieber just walked out on me the last time i tried to film him i decided to try again. Sadly, the last save was at the run, so i had to start from there. Something interesting happened though.

Do you know what happens when Shep steps into the transport beam?

I mean, do you know EXACTLY?

Well, check this out.

www.youtube.com/watch

Yes, he disintegrates into smoke. Wtf?

Also note that the game cuts away about a second before he takes the final step into the beam, so the smoke is never seen ingame.

Sadly, during the TIM convo the game crashed when i alt tabbed out for a moment, and i dont feel like doing everything again, so someone will have to do the filming for me.

Oh gawd I have finally caught up! So much drama in the thread today lol.

So anyway let me just say that the above video totally blew my mind. Seeing Shepard just pretty much suiciding on that beam like he actually thought something cool was going to happen, and he just vaporizes. Lol I know this isn't meant for the player to see and that this ending is in Shepard's head according to our theory, but still knowing that's what happened to my Shepard on my first playthrough is just disturbing...

Yknow, what if thats what the beam actually does in reality to unauthorized people using it? It'd explain why the Reapers have such a small force guarding it if anyone they dont want using it just gets vaporized.

Could be the beam breaking down Shepard before reassembling him onto the citadel. I know space magic and what not, but just making the inevitable counter argument

I've just frapsed the blue ending 4 times and went through the scenes in question step by step. It is not getting any more corporal, if it does it's a bug. But I could see that the refraction of the beam or whatever is quite strong at its then current position and could be mistaken as its ordinary skin. I made some screens that should clearly show that all we see is refraction, not its ordinary skin.

Good work. That does make it seem like the youtube video might just be causing an optical illusion. Damn convenient illusion though. I wonder if we can still draw any conclusions from what we see in those shots, though?

BleedingUranium, I've gotta say, I have a tremendous amount of respect for your ability  to deal with unreasonable people like that in such patient fashion. It's truly a shame that those people dont allow themselves to open up to your reasonings and at least acknowledge them. I wouldn't even attempt to engage with those individuals, much less be that patient with them.

I was just thinking about how the game really rubs in that you totally defeated the reapers, no doubt about it, with the track title, stargazer and pop-up. It seems either they knew the ending was way to vague and decided to tell and not show to sort it out, or they're giving false assurances.

I was also thinking about how 'an end once and for all' is immediately followed by 'das malefitz'. It's almost saying "the end... psyche!"

You know, my favorite example of just plain dumb was shown here. "The the very fact that it solves everything is what's wrong with it."

Ok  then smart guy, why not inform me what a realistic soloution would have then? NO answers for anything? Yeah that makes alot of sense.

I'm getting conflicting reports (search results) on this end, can anyone translate "Das Malefitz"? almsot failed german in high school but I thought it meant "The Maleficent" or something liek that.
