I think most of us here are the picnic-goers, a few of us are Ranger Smith's and estebanus is Peter Griffin/Solid Snake. :D

When you kill Marauder Shields at the conduit you hear some garbled talking. It may be coming from Marauder Shields but do any of the other marauders say anything when you shoot them? Maybe with some sound editing we can uncover if there's a message.

Good looking out for clues! However, I'm inclined to think that there is nothing here, since most, if not all of the Marauders make an unintelligible garble when they are relieved of their pitiful existence as a reaper slave.

I suppose we could still examine the garble, if someone wants to, though.

Dont give up looking for clues! 3+ months later we are still finding new items and lines of discussion, so keep at it. :D

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I tracked down the source of that niftu gif

http://nhaneh.tumblr...reka-biotic-god

Uuuhhh... What? I don't see the bad news here.

Some people were under the impression that it was a Bioware original.

I thought it was from Bioware too, but in any case, it's just someone's awesome sense of humor at work, so it's cool either way!

And Bioware did jokingly comment on it either way, so they seem conficent in the EC either way.

Causing great annoyance for people and sneaking around in carboard boxes? Yup, that's pretty much my daily routine!

I also have one question, where does the game load after beating the game? With me it was in the horsehead nebula just before TIM's base but I don't know if that's just because that's where my last manual save was or if it's coded to do so and I don't remember where it loaded my game in my first playthrough.

The game always creates an auto save at that point, which it then auto-loads after beating the game. Ostensibly the game is just taking you back to just before the point-of-no-return in the main storyline, but occassionally some of us entertain the idea that it might mean something.

Some interesting ideas, nothing too concrete as we don't know the answers to some key questions but some good feedback certainly.

And on a personal note - Yay I managed to contribute something newish to this thread after close to 3000 pages

It's a good feeling, isnt it?  Though please, dont discount the contribution of merely participating in discussion here. Most, if not all of my contributions have stemmed from discussion. Others' thoughts compel me to explore new lines of thought, investigation, and discovery of my own. We all work together.

Definitely a good feeling, I do try and contribute more but usually I'm 2-3hours late to the party (Stupid time difference)

it might mean that since the Sheard's arc was supposed to end where it ended there was no point in creating anything post-campaign like in ME2 where you can get epilogues from all the crewmates. This is a literalist's interpretation.

An ITist's interpretation is that it was all a hallucination to some extent and you return to the point where Shepard can still change something in the EC.

Crunch time for the lead cinematic director? Could mean something.

But why would they choose comic-con to reveal anything about the EC? Why would they reveal anything about the EC at all?

To be honest, back when EC was first announced, early-june (For some reason I was thinking June 6th) popped into my head as the likely release date for EC. That being said, I'm not expecting them to say a darn thing about it, ever, until fans have had a chance to play through it. A release date would be the most I'd expect, but I wont even get my hopes up for that.

Lord Goose showed up earlier, expertly playing the role of Yogi Bear. Disguised himself as having legitimate questions about IT, which several of us proceeded to discuss with him. Then, at the first opportunity (which was me saying a particular item could be left up to personal interpretation) he accused me of verbal abuse and failure to defend IT.

So yeah, Yogi Bear dressing up as a person to sneak up to some picnic-goers for a conversation, and then making off with their pic-a-nic- basket.

They might show it if it's so twisted that nobody understands what they are looking at.

Maybe the counter on completed playthroughs showed enough high a number that they assumed most of humanity had played the game.

Hmm, that would be funny if they just showed some cryptic garbled message that we would have to decipher, we'd figure out what it means at FTL speeds though probably.

Like a message from Harbinger. That'd be powerful proof for IT and wouldn't disclose too much from the EC.

I actually hope they do something like this now, becasue I don't really want them to show game footage, I want to play game footage. So either they give us a cryptic message or they release it during comic-con.

I'm from austria, one of the most football-obsessed countries in the world (although we always hilariously fail), but still I don't really care about it that much. I'm weird.

And so this doesn't count as offtopic: Maybe Harbinger was just a halucination and Shepard was shot down by a meteor from space? (A magic mind controlling meteor that is)

Meh, I'm not that huge a fan of footbal either, I just like the national teams play! Oh, and I like watching Germany fail again and again! For some reason I just hate the german team, i don't know why, even if I myself am german. Oh, and then I can always mock my friends who are germany fans!

As for your second part: uuuhhh... What?
