I dunno. Just thinking outside the box. I qualify this by saying there a chance I have no clue what I'm talking about. You guys correct me and I'll get right back in the box.

I'd say get back in the box. The explosion is more likely than anything a scripted event. Actual gameplay weapon damage has no effect on this.

I think thats going just a little too deep into the rabbit hole.....

Oh come on... play my game.  B)

It kinda goes along with Bioware's tendancy to name things in the game based on their function:

Catalyst--->something that helps a reaction
Crucible---> A test
Quarians---> Quarantined
Conduit---> something that helps the flow of something in a direction
Liara--->???

Hmm... let me think of some more...

I'm sure the image is some kind of easter egg referring to a place in Vancouver, but since I don't live there someone else will have to let me know, I've only seen this image once, it's after you talk to the child in the air duct and follow Anderson into the next area, perhaps others here might see other things in the image that could be clues?

Liara is the one who kept the Shadow Broker from selling your body to the Collectors, and by extension Harbinger, though. Wouldnt make much sense if she were indoctrinated.

TIM is indoctrinated too, that argument is sadly invalid.

But TIM wanted your body for his own reasons. Unless she's indoctrinated by TIM instead of by the Reapers, why would she work against Harby, the head Reaper, just to help another indoctrinated agent?

Where would she even have been indoctrinated?

An information broker can also be a powerful ally to the Reapers. Especially with the chance of getting to be the shadow broker herself. Keep in mind subtle indoctrination starts only with suggestions. Also some of the artifacts she found in her days when studying Protheans counld still in fact be of Reaper origin.
Also indoctrinated people can amplify the indoctrination signal, and we know at least one Jellyfish and one Asari on the Citadel is indoctrinated, remember the one in the hospital?
Doc: "The prisoners were indoctrinated."
Asari: "You think?"
Doc: "And once the alarm was sounded..."
Asari: "Neaira's eyes were black. The whole time, not just for a second. I could feel her mind from where I was standing. The humans were in the way, attacking us. I used my biotics. Flung them around like... I'd been horrified when Neaira tore the farmers apart, but goddess... I ripped them in half. And it felt good."
Doc: "There's nothing shameful about feeling an adrenaline rush during battle."
Asari: "I might've killed more than Neaira and those husks did. She wanted them alive. To turn them. And I..."
Doc: "And you survived."

Apperently this is concept art pic from the CE artbook that was used ingame. In the book it doesn't really look like the kid, since it seem to either be a person with a blue shirt or a triangular sign on the glass.

Boxes can be used as forts. I'd like to keep my mind inside the box if indoctrination is being thrown around everywhere.

Funny you should say that..

To paraphrase:
Javik: I once had a ship like this, my crew became indoctrinated and hunted me.

NWN2 SPOILER!!!

In Neverwinder Nights 2 a lot of your squad can turn on you at the end, all depending on your relationship with them -- if I remember correctly that is.

That was suspicious. Maybe the Normandy's crew is indeed indoctrinated (EDI, Liar-a).

Add in the hum that Vega mentions and you get a good reason to become paranoid :unsure:

Maybe the strange spelling of Liara's name is a hint at something big that's yet to come.

That's... kinda creepy. Tali, Garrus, Javik all commenting on how awful the thing is, and Shep's response that at least it's not trying to kill them. Liara, Vega, Ash all commenting on how they feel like being watched... hmmm...

Wasn't the feeling of being watched a sign of indoctrination?

Liara, Vega, Ash/VS.... all people you're guaranteed to have... unlike Garrus, Tali, and Javik...

Is anyone getting creeped out yet?

Liara and VS as LI have both a dramatically ironic chance of being Doomsday devices.
Liara as someone nobody would naively expect to be indoc. and did everything to save Shep after his death.
VS as someone who constantly kept doubting whether Shep can be trusted with ME2 and into ME3.

There was hints at there being a cerberus mole aboard early on in the game but the plot thread gets dropped without resolution. Could've been cut or could be a plan for future DLC.

Instead of speculating who it could be I hope it actually changes player-to-player. Like in DoW2: Chaos Rising, the traitor is always the squad member with the highest corruption at the moment the traitor is revealed.

I'm trying to find a video of it.

ugh... guess no one who records this feels like including that dialogue. I guess if worse comes to worse I can replay the cerberus HQ mission with Kaidan in my squad. Honestly, even that's going pretty far for a playful suggestion I made earlier.
