Okay, I may have had a bit of a meltdown. Thanks for the support. I kinda suffer from an inferiority complex so that doesn't help. I hope I didn't make too much of a spectacle, but apparently I am trash. Sebisot or however you spell that a**hole's name needs to get taken off permanently. Has anyone actually been kicked off for good since Bioware put that rule in effect?

Does anyone know if waldstr18 actually got banned? Or did he just decise to quit trolling us?

Did walstr do anything banworthy? As far as I saw he was just generally annoying, which isnt banworthy last I checked.

Well, does that one time where he talked about how he apparently had a threesome count as banworthy? If not, then I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there were probably MANY other examples that I just can't remember. Honestly, I 've tried to lock away my memories of him in that deep, dark part of my mind where memories HOPEFULLY go to die. However, I do have memories of him being a complete cloaca at many times, so there is that.

Hey everyone. Semi-important post here so please read. I still have some catching up to do on today's posts, but I wanted to chime in on something I looked into today.

I'm fairly sure that "double grunt" you hear when Shepard shoots Anderson in the final confrontation is Anderson and TIM.

On the initial analysis many assumed it was Shepard and Anderson grunting, but that was quickly debunked when we noticed that the same 2 grunts were heard on femshep playthroughs as well. As far as I know, the matter was pretty much dropped as inconclusive.

I decided to spend a few minutes listening to those few seconds over and over, and it really sounds to me like Anderson and TIM. There are two distinct grunts, and the louder one that sounds like an "OH", which most assumed to be Anderson, actually sounds like Martin Sheen, especially if you focus on just the sound and arent watching the video along with it. The quieter one that sounds like an "AH" doesnt unmistakably sound like Keith David, but what other possibility is there?

How is this significant? Well, TIM remains defiant and aside from the initial grunt, Anderson seems to be completely unaffected by the wound. He doesnt even grasp his side anymore.

However, as soon as you have your next dialog option, TIM quickly becomes unsettled and starts losing it. Anderson remains fine. If you skip those few seconds where he is shot, you would think nothing ever happened to Anderson at all.

I think that by shooting Anderson, Shepard is doing equal damage to both of them. But since Shepard continues to take Anderson's side in the argument, TIM is instead the one who starts showing weakness.

On top of that, regardless of what happens, both Anderson and TIM collapse at nearly the same exact moment, either when Shepard kills TIM, or TIM takes his own life. In addition, both of them are invariably dead by the end of the scene.

Anderson and TIM cannot survive without each other. Neither of them can operate the control panel. And both of them are clearly blocking Shepard's path to the control panel. TIM by holding Shepard in position, and Anderson by literally standing in Shepard's path to the panel. And since failing to "side" with Anderson by saving him from being shot by TIM severely hinders your ability to get the breath scene (more than anything else in the game), I think it is safe to conclude that, when combined with all the other evidence, this scene is entirely 100% symbolic rather than literal.

The symbollic implications are compelling!

Ok another silly question: do TIM and Anderson disappear once Shep gets to the control panel or while s/he is being lifted by the heavenly elevator? or are they still laying there, dead?

Theyre still laying there, dead, however oddly enough TIM's corpse changes position and pose halfway through regardless of which "death" he receives.

Interesting... What's the "message from the boy"?

It's a message found on a terminal near the airduct I mentioned in the posting I linked a few minutes ago. It seems to be from a guy asking his parents were they are. He then says he'll go to the school to pick up the twins (possibly his sisters/brothers) and all other kids he can find. The message ends with him telling his parents they can yell at him, when they meet up up at the shelters.

After my thoughts on some similarities I found between parts of the Citadel and Cronos Station as well as the Satellite dish from Projekt Overlord (if you are interested - my post can be found here: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/12047832/581#12474519) I'd like to share some of my thoughts on the idea most of "Priority: Earth" being a hallucination.
I hope I'll get lucky again and can contribute something useful and new

So, in this thread some people thought about the possibility that not only the part after Harbingers beam takes place in Shepards head, but in fact the majority of "Priority: Earth".

If this should be the case, I would assume that much like the Citadel in the ending, London might contain elements from Shepard's memory. So I kept my eyes out to spot something familiar.

And I actually believe I found 2 things, which reminded me A LOT of places I visited earlier in the game.

1.) Is this Earth or Menae?

After taking out the AA Battery, you'll find yourself in the Forward Operating Base. A place which I felt was a little too peaceful with all the fighting going on just a few blocks away. I can't describe it in better words, but I just got the feeling something was "off".

Posted Image

But for some reason, the atmosphere and even the base itself seemed very familiar to me.

I was almost certain I had the same feeling of "nothing is happening here" with a war raging on just outside before - in the turian base on Menae during "Priority: Palavan" in fact.

Posted Image

So, I tried to find some similarities between them. This is what I gathered:

- As stated above, the mood in both encampments was actually kinda peacefull given the circumstances
- On the right side of each base, you find a communication terminal (in London used to contact your ME 2 Squadmates, on Menae used by General Corinthus to contact Palavan)
- In the middle of each base is a turret in an elevated position
- Which you have to use in both cases to defend the base against Husks and Cannibals
- Even the provisorily lamp posts are absolut identical (though this in fact could really be a case of reused assets)
- And surprisingly Primarch Victus is in London, too (Shep himself wonders why he is there),  which even further establishes a connection to the mission on Menae

Oh, and remember the briefing with Anderson and Coates?

Posted Image

Looks a bit like this, if you ask me...

Posted Image

2.) Is this London or Vancouver?

After you got your briefing from Captain Anderson, the push to the Conduit begins. For me, this is the moment where "Priority: Earth" actually starts, as this is the final assault.

So, after fighting some Reaper troops you'll end up in a parking lot. Via a ladder you enter the first buidling in this part of the mission. And then you come across this door...

Posted Image

The moment I saw the husk I immediately thought of the beginning of the game. For those who can't remember, while fleeing from Vancouver in the first building you enter you come across a door, were the exact same thing happens to you.

Posted Image

And to be honest, I couldn't remember another instance, where a Husk attacked you through a half opened door like this in Mass Effect 3.

But what happens after this in Vancouver? Well, of course it is time for our favourite little boy to appear in a ventilation duct to the left.

Posted Image

So naturally, after getting attacked by a Husk in London in the exact same fashion I took a look to the left as well.

Posted Image

And there was an airduct, too.

But that's not all - right beside the airduct is a console which can be interacted with. And on it, you'll find a message of a boy who tried to contact his parents. That's another nice coincident, isnt it? ^_^

Also, Vancouver is the last time you saw Anderson in person before London. So, after meeting him again in London there is a deja-vu like this for now reason whatsoever?

Oh, and in both cases you use a ladder moments before you reach set door. Which is another strange similarity.

Of course, this is no proof that these part of "Priority: Earth" take place in Shepards head. I'm still not 100% sure myself whether to think this part is real or just a hallucination. But at least I think I can say now, that there are indeed some strange things going on in London :D

So, what do you think? Are there any resemblences? And if there are, are they intended or just coincidences? :)

Damn.

I just watched the Renegade choice in the cure of the genophage, and I have to say that was the most dramatic/sad thing I have seen ever. The first time I played I like usual chose the paragon and helped mordin, and was touched in seeing mordin sacrifice himself. Now watching shepard shoot him in the back and mordin crawl to the consol to die before saving the cure was speechless.  Someone would have to be a total d*** to choose that.:crying:

I also noticed that it was the only other time in the game where you throw away your gun. Is there a connection?

Took images some time ago, they all look relatively the same in manner of technique. Most are blue and red/orange some are violet/purple and one looks like a rainbow vomited on a canvas. You do see a couple of them somewhere else in the game aside from London but I can't remember where, maybe the Citadel?
