It's this information from EDI that gets me suspicious,www.youtube.com/watch  the reaper growl kicks in right on cue every time that scene is played, if we remember what that thing is made from, then it has the capacity to directly influence humans, which makes it a good component for the crucible as far as the reapers are concerned, after all, they did move the citadel to earth for some unexplainable reason, of course we now have to take the crucible there as well, one mass indoctrination device and approx 11 billion humans, that's a sizeable catch for the reapers.

To come full circle:
There are yet to be Geth challanges, in correspondence to Rannoch's priorities.

Actually, I think that's because geth are laughably easy when you're prepared for them. Geth in Firebase White is just... it barely qualifies as a game anymore because that implies a chance to lose. Even on gold, you could teach 4 drunken chimps to farm it. And you will drop all forms of geth, including primes, in droves. They just keep coming and keep dropping without even a fair chance to defend themselves. Needless to say, people farm this. A lot. Whatever challenge they have for killing geth would have to be so high to compensate for geth farmers that people playing for real wouldn't be able to contribute much of anything. And if they really wanted to contribute... they'd start farming geth like that too. See how this starts to go awry?

The Predator/Carnifex thing is really far-fetched. Like the glitchty reflections, the keepers that you can walk through, the hole in the middle of the bridge to the control room, they're all design oversights, really.

Then (and I honestly mean no offense by this) you're not very knowledgeable about the technical aspects. Many of these things would be extremely unlikely to happen by accident. The gun switch is one of those. I can't even figure how it could happen on accident. The script would almost have to have a deliberately written line to switch the guns at a particular time. Both that line and the model loading file which is set to have the predator model ready to use only in the destroy ending, would have to be there on accident. I don't see how that's even remotely possible. Bugs happen because people make little typos in their syntax and the like, not because they typed out entire commands by accident.

Now, I'm not saying it's not a bug. I believe in never very rarely saying "never". I'm not ruling out this being a bug, but it's in the same way I'm not ruling out that we're all just daydreams of the Wind Fish.

And I have to say this again because people keep saying the gun thing is too obscure, too hard to see, too hard to be sure of... One of the most quoted pieces of evidence is the fact that in control and synthesis Shepard's eyes turn exactly like TIM's at the last moment. People don't often remember that for the first week or two of IT it was just "there's some blue crap on his eyes" and it took a frame-by-frame analysis of a 1080 video to be sure that those were in fact the TIM eyes. And then it took another couple weeks before someone who remember details from the comics mentioned that TIM got those eyes from a Reaper artifact. So yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree on the "too obscure" thing. The fact that they included some really obscure stuff that it took us a while to notice is just a testament to how well done this storyline is.

Well hell, looks like we lost Operation: SILENCER in MP. Either that or we won and Hackett's RPing how many losses we took in the blog release. I must've taken down 30-40 Banshee's in my own squads but damn if I could've just taken a few more.

Suppose we can't win a war without expecting some losses. And in Asari space too hmm..coincide with the Thessia defeat? A prelude to it? Arian's timeline may be up to something (as I have suspected for awhile now). We'll see for sure with the next Operation or two.

I think we won. Withdrawal from Asari colonies is canon in-game, is it not? No matter how well the special forces do, I dont think we can change canon.

Now that I've thought about it a little more, Liara, Vega, and Ash are just the ones that didn't accompany you to the Collector base. Their dialogue is tailored to fit with Shepard's response. If that's the real explanation it still leaves Javik as a sort of wildcard, but I think that can be easily discounted from being anything significant.

I'm not sure about that reaper growl though.

If this were a possibility, I'd have money on the VS. Vega's just ... (laughs) he ain't indoctrinated. And the storm of crap that would come BioWare's way if they turned Liara on Shepard would be ... uh, well, it's something I doubt' they'd execute.  The VS, however, has a fairly divided base of both fans and haters, yet I don't think either side "cares" enough about that character to become enraged if this ended up happening. They'd be a great platform.

For the record: you can't turn down Ashley or Kaidan at the point where they ask you to hop on the Normandy, right?

Dunno about that, but you CAN kill them earlier, so  doubt they'd be vital to a twist ending DLC.

Okay, so ... in terms of vitality to the plot in any circumstance, the VS can be nixed for several reasons. (laughs)

Like I said before, my little liar-Liara indoc theory was mostly a jest, just a little game I wanted to play with speculations. I guess the VS and Vega wouldn't be integral, but Liara would  be. I think Liara has plenty of haters out there on the forums and elsewhere, mostly because a lot of people are sick of her being such a pivotal, canonical friend of Shepard. People would rage, but others would still celebrate, is what I'm trying to say. I don't think player rage over a twist would be something Bioware is afraid of.

Hmm I'm replaying the ME series and I just recently got the message from Hackett about "The Arrival" and Hackett DID know about object Rho (at least he knew Kensen found a Reaper artifact).

I still have to say that Hackett's indoctrination still sounds way off IMO. The most Reaper contact he's had (that we know of) is the battle of Arcturus and the crucible with the Reaper heart/brain.

He hears a hum and you don't really know anything about him, which isn't much to go on, but I'd call him a more likely candidate for traitor than creator's pet Liara.

He might as well make a good husk, I don't think he has the mental faculties to pull off anything truly maniacal.
Vega's alright in my book, but he is such a stereotype. Not all of us are meatheads.

Rage over a twist? No, no.  Rage over a key love interest flipping like that? Maybe.

I certainly would have been open to it, had BioWare done it well.  I also think she'd probably taken similar measures to the ones her mother took to combat it, but they could flesh it out well.

NWN2 SPOILER!!!

In Neverwinder Nights 2 a lot of your squad can turn on you at the end, all depending on your relationship with them -- if I remember correctly that is.

KOTOR had this as well. As did Dragon Age Origins.

The difference is that was because of a direct choice the player made to cause that situation. I don't believe Mass Effect 3 is the kind of game that would be prepared to do that.

Good point. If the Darkhorse for iphone would work for a change, maybe the comic I got would actually ****ing download for once and I could find out. I didn't read the first comic about Vega though, where he meets Shepard.

Vega has a weak mind so he's a perfect candidate for indoctrination. Liara is harder to indoctrinate but more valuable for the Reapers once possessed.

Basically, anyone can be indoctrinated. What differs is the method and the amount of time needed to do so.
