You know, Mac Walters would probably be VERY familiar with PTSD since he does have a degree in psychology.

That goes without saying. The question is whether or not Mass Effect is really just a simple game, or perhaps an experiment involving having a psychological Effect on the Masses.....

I always thought it was weird how a very large percentage of players said they had trouble concentrating the first time through the Catalyst scene.

I'd love to see the results!

The results are unfolding as we speak, right in front of us....

Thanks, I see it now. It does have some of the same qualities as the oily shadows but I dont think we can be sure of anything.

You should check the thing on the control panel cause it's there and then a few seconds later when he goes up the elevator (which doesn't go the right way) it's gone. :o

Whats on the control panel?cause i dont see anything

The control panel is white and the smudge is an off white color/gray and is closest to shepard. It's at 9:16 and it looks like it could be a shadow from TIM except he is lying down.

I also would like to point out if we combined Shepard's energy to the Crucible should it have been different depending on whether you are Paragon, or renegade? It should have been if you took the good path the galaxy should be at peace, but that went out the window when the Renegade Shepard chooses Synthesis and had the same exact ending as the Paragon Shepard did.

I was hoping that if you choose Synthesis as Renegade Shepard the Galaxy should have been fully corrupted.

Thats just one thing wrong with Synthesis. Back in March someone made a series of satirical posts on the dialog of the endings, and in the Synthesis one he has Shepard asking the Catalyst what else he can throw into the beam instead of himself. He asked if maybe he could throw the Destroy pipe in there to turn everyone in the galaxy into pipes that can destroy all synthetic life if shot.  I found it quite funny.

I don't know. Could be either cause as far as I see there should be nothing making that shadow.

Btw heard of the new DLC stuff posted on reddit? Sounds exactly like AD predicted.

What DLC stuff ?

I was away this weekend so I missed stuff and got no link but from what I know it's from the same account that posted stuff about the last DLC. The DLC name is "Earth". Maps are London, Rio, and Vancouver. New weapons: Acolyte HP, Typhoon SMG, and Piranha Shotgun. The six new classes are all human N7 and called: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury.

Yeah, but some numbers would be nice too. And statistical analysis. You know, a scientific paper.

No, it was actually just a very good educated guess. I came to about the same conclusion, it's just obvious how similar the MP dlcs and weekend missions were compared to the storyline.

Keep in mind that the shadows in that scene are particularly wonky compared to the rest of the game.

A while back we spent some time going over the shadows of that entire scene. We determined that it is blatantly intentional that Anderson and TIM's shadows are locked at a certain angle opposite of each other, and do not change based on their relative position to any light source in the room. They are at a 90 degree angle from each other, or rather, opposing 45 degree angles along Shepard's path to the control panel.

I speculated that it could be analogous to a dialog wheel, since at one point in the conversation, the camera clearly highlights the angles of the shadows, and even goes so far as to hide Shepard entirely.

That's just the thing though, we already know there is subwoofer movement, and lots of it. The problem is without that specific equipment or analyzer, we dont know if any of it is around the 15hz ballpark. If there is any around that area, its basically confirmation that there is an indoctrination signal on the Normandy. TSA says it's confirmed based on his tests, but we still need proof.

So, you're telling me, that on the Normandy there actually IS woofer movement caused by a sound the human ear cannot hear?

Maybe I'm seeing things to simple, but why bother checking around the "15hz ballpark"? The evidence is already there.

If Bioware actually put a sound on the Normandy the player cannot hear, I would call this a huge hint towards the Normandy sending out an Indoctrination signal of some sort. Even if it's not the "right" frequency to be called Infrasound like the Codex states. You said it yourself, Infrasound can damage the speakers at high volume - why risk several angry costumers with broken speakers? ;)

Considering that the last leak from this guy was accurate, I'd be inclined to believe that this is accurate. Also, even our founder, the mighty Byne, agrees that Arian is officially the finest of us.

Educated guess is right. The same idea popped into my head as soon as I watched the ACAVYOS IT video. It just takes a moderate amount of knowledge on economics and to some extent, accounting. Once you look at it that way, Arian's theory essentially writes itself. He just did a really good job of putting it all together in coherent fashion.

Well we do know that Bioware will try to suprise use with the EC dlc and maybe they are just giving us this info so that none of the hackers/lekers don't ruin what happens in the dlc like they did with the original enings.

Fair enough, I probably didn’t come to the same conclusion since I don’t really pay much attention to MP related stuff. May have to in future if this is how Bioware is going to do multiplayer in future games/DLC, meaning weaving it into the story and not just as an added feature.

I think it was Megumi who did a 4 pic comparison of the shadows at important moments during the conversation. Sometimes it looked to me as if Shepard's shadow seemed like a superposition of the two other shadows.

But whatever it is, TIM's and Anderson's shadow are never from a main light source as the shadow of the console, as can be seen from the above shot.

Same here. I knew everything from the beginning!!! Posted Image I had a vision of a grand DLC coming in June to my PC.

It was always strange that they did only London and Vancouver. Seemed like a wasted opportunity.

No, I'm saying there is woofer movement. Frequencies anywhere from 1hz all the way up to several hundred hz can cause visible woofer movement. I'm not as much of an audio expert as TSA, but I know enough to know that the woofer movement we see being caused by the Normandy is from one or more "Bass chords" using frequencies that could be from anywhere between 15hz and 150hz.

The reason its not really a huge risk for them to sneak some 15hz in there is because at low volumes, it isnt a threat to anything. It wont harm speakers that attempt to reproduce it, nor will it cause psychological effects on the player, as long as the volume on that part of the chord is not too high, and a lot of high end consumer home theater equipment wont even attempt to reproduce it since there isnt much point.

I'll just put this here for now.

This was 17 days ago but came across it and found it interesting. Maybe some of you remember this.

So my conclusion is that you are on the bottom side of the Citadel? Then there are some issues with that.

1- You went up meaning that you would have gone up the tower, not down.
2- Gravity generally on a space station is one way, you can't have both.

I am going to get proof to prove when you press the open citadel buttons that you are facing like if you were in the tower. Not upside down. If someone could help me that would be appreciated.

Edit: Help not ep

I don't think that you are thinking about this the right way...think of two places on Earth that are diametrically (I think that is the right word) oppostie of each other...they both have ten story buildings, you walk into the lobby and find an elevator, you press the button to go up - now when the elevator arrives you travel in opposing directions.  It all depends on where the center of gravity is...

Now back to the Citadel/Crucible connection...think of them as the opposing towers and the space b/w them as the "center of gravity"...it is perfectly logical to see how you could travel "up" to the Crucible - and at the same time be able to travel "up" to the top of the tower.

I will now end my attempt to explain this...I hope that this helps.  If not, then maybe someone else can drop some more scientifically specific knowlege on you.
