You should check the thing on the control panel cause it's there and then a few seconds later when he goes up the elevator (which doesn't go the right way) it's gone.
Are you proposing that it might mean something, or just finding it curious?
I don't know. Could be either cause as far as I see there should be nothing making that shadow.
Keep in mind that the shadows in that scene are particularly wonky compared to the rest of the game.
A while back we spent some time going over the shadows of that entire scene. We determined that it is blatantly intentional that Anderson and TIM's shadows are locked at a certain angle opposite of each other, and do not change based on their relative position to any light source in the room. They are at a 90 degree angle from each other, or rather, opposing 45 degree angles along Shepard's path to the control panel.
I speculated that it could be analogous to a dialog wheel, since at one point in the conversation, the camera clearly highlights the angles of the shadows, and even goes so far as to hide Shepard entirely.
I think it was Megumi who did a 4 pic comparison of the shadows at important moments during the conversation. Sometimes it looked to me as if Shepard's shadow seemed like a superposition of the two other shadows.
But whatever it is, TIM's and Anderson's shadow are never from a main light source as the shadow of the console, as can be seen from the above shot.

Considering that the last leak from this guy was accurate, I'd be inclined to believe that this is accurate. Also, even our founder, the mighty Byne, agrees that Arian is officially the finest of us.
Byne is not the only one who thinks this! Arian is the best the IT has to offer, and besides of that, he's just so nerdy that it makes him awesome!
Here here! I believe I was the one who suggested that he was our finest originally. Good to see I'm not the only one. Byne and lex0r also agreed at the time. There might have been others who agreed when I originally suggested that, but I can't remember them.

I got the impression they wanted to keep that scene for those of us who actually save Miranda, and came up with the far-fetched excuse that Tali is jealous Miranda could stand to her father (or something). I'm not really sure what that's all about.Rifneno wrote...

If it does indeed coincide with Kal's death by e-mail I much prefer that interpretation, though.

I think some of us (maybe most? Poll needed!) had problems to concentrate during the Catalyst scene is also due to BioWare setting up the previous events in an appropriate fashion. First the exhausting fight for the missles, then the adrenalin pumping run for the beam. Then all this confusion and questions that builds up during the following dialogs (that Tasteful Nerdrage video guy explained that the best).
All of that leaves its marks in the player's mind. So if you happen to not be doing ME3 night overtime, then all that wall of unanswered questions limit the listeners attention span non-trivially.
So, if the ending is choreographed to the last second, then they succeeded!

I know that alot of people commented that Tali's reaction seems more appropraite if Miranda dies (which can be accomplished by refusing to give her the Alliance data - or so I have heard)...
I thought it was such a shame that we had to read about Kal'Reegar instead of seeing it...
And in any case, I am not sure that Tali would be aware of Kal'Reegar's death at that moment...unless Shep shares it with her and given the fact that she is already struggling with the emergency induction port - it may not have been the best time. Since I usually romance Liara, I don't have an idea of the Tali conversations for the "romance" - but it would have been nice for romanced Tali and Shep to discuss at some point (given that Tali and Reegar seem friendly).

You now I hate the fact that they killed Reegar because A I saved his *** for what to die in six months when the Reapers invade, and I hated that all the people we helped save and promised to return the favor one day either died, or Indoc, so damm it.
Edit and Yes I know THERE IS A WAR GOING ON:).

Infrasound is a real life thing that can and does cause psychological effects. In fact, the same can be said about most, if not all of the things the codex entry cites.
That's all well and good, but normally we rely on the game to tell or indicate to us when any of those things are present. However, most large speakers can reproduce infrasound, but it is usually a pointless affair since we cant hear it, and it can be damaging to the speakers at high volumes. TSA has some professional audio equipment that allows him to filter sound down to very specific ranges, and speakers that can safely reproduce them. He claims to have filtered out everything above 20hz, and is still getting heavy woofer movement.
What we need is either a video like this that proves the existence of infrasound on the Normandy through woofer movement, or something like this (the view in the upper right corner), which displays a visual representation of the frequencies within the audio signal.

Cool video! Didnt realize that animals used infrasound as a weapon. Perhaps the Reapers arent as clever as we give them credit for....
