1) Why do you believe this hasnt been going on the entire time? What exactly do you think happened during Arrival? This point is starting to reek of the typical face-value thought process that Shepard is somehow immune to indoctrination, or that it happens instantly instead of being a slow, subtle process, the point of which being that we DONT KNOW it's happening.

2) Did you miss the part in the codex about indoctrinated agents being most useful in a high ranking undercover position? They might as well just turn him into a husk if they captured him, because no one would trust him after that, which would defeat the point of indoctrinating him.

3) The point is that many of us believe it is not an anti-Reaper superweapon at all.

4) Practically any important political group in the galaxy knows about the Crucible in some fashion. There are indoctrinated everywhere. It would require a massive amount of "Creative liberty" to have the Reapers just fail to find out about an anti-Reaper superweapon, given such a powerful espionage and spy network.

5) I really dont think this point is going anywhere, to be honest.

Do you hear that hum, is that just me?

3) You think it's a trap. However, the reapers win so easily because they divide and conquer. Using the crucible as a trap only means that there will be a massive battle just like there was on earth every cycle, meaning they risk heavy losses each time they harvest. We know they don't lose many if at all Capital Ships, which are the ships that would engage crucible fleets, so the idea that it's a trap seems unlikely. You're assuming that the reapers will risk losing several capital ships that are really expesnive to replace for one man.

If I may quote Javik, "There was no final battle in my cycle."  It wouldn't surprise me at all if that's the way it was for the majority of the cycles.  Our cycle sounds like it is pretty unique compared to many of the other cycles, or at least, that's what I've gathered (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)  Also, Epyon, I have one question, why do you disagree with IT?  Give me one good reason why time and time again you deny every counter argument we present you with.  In fact, I'll save you having to think up an answer to this question.  I'll give you an even simpler one.  Do you hate Bioware?  Please, be honest when you answer.

The only way to get back on topic is to talk about Starchild's logic. What do you think, byne?

Paxxton, I just died three times in WoW because my raid group cant understand simple concepts like 'kill that thing' and 'kill that other thing.'

I think if I do anything else that tests my patience I'm going to snap.

So I'll pass.

LOL. You had a really hard time. I'll let you rest in peace then. Posted Image

Normally I'd not be too mad about dying three times to a single boss, but Deathwing takes bloody forever. We wiped 10 minutes into the fight each time.

1) In The Arrival, Shepard was knocked out after fighting waves upon waves of soldiers and object rho powering on. He was kept unconcious for two days by the doctors on the staff but was able to fight it off. He then killed everyone on the station, stared Harbinger down and destroyed the relay. After that Shepard went on to continue killing reapers all the way to the final scene.

2) So being unreachable for two whole days and telling Hacket and your crew that you exposed to reaper tech the time you were missing is much more trustworthy than Shepard going missing during a battle on Earth and resurfacing with wounds?

3) You think it's a trap. However, the reapers win so easily because they divide and conquer. Using the crucible as a trap only means that there will be a massive battle just like there was on earth every cycle, meaning they risk heavy losses each time they harvest. We know they don't lose many if at all Capital Ships, which are the ships that would engage crucible fleets, so the idea that it's a trap seems unlikely. You're assuming that the reapers will risk losing several capital ships that are really expesnive to replace for one man.

4) They had TIM and yet it took them three quarters of the game to find out what he was planning. One of the most valuable assets to the reapers was capable of witholding information from them. I'd imagine that non indoctrinated people would be difficult to get information from.

I think this is all boiling down to just different interpretations of the same events. We both agree on what happened, just not what it means. I believe that all of the above points towards IT, you believe that it doesnt. So essentially youre raising points that you feel back your point of view, however my interpretation of them causes them to back my point of view. I think that based on what we know about how indoctrination works, the way I look at it is a much more logical conclusion. Otherwise indoctrination was just a lazy plot device which Bioware used to turn a bunch of people into turncoats without having a good reason. And Bioware is better than that.

Also, on a different topic, I just found one of those pieces of abstract artwork that some had speculated looked like they were abstract renderings of Reapers.  It's in ME2 during Kasumi's loyalty mission.

Oh really?  That's interesting.  Foreshadowing, or a simple asset reuse?

Though quite why a piece of art like that would suddenly appear on Earth...  That is curious.  I should have had a look when I was playing ME2 recently >_<

That you spelled my name wrong. No, just kidding.

I just wanted to point out how you sometimes like to post in rapid succession with questions you could have put in one post. No hard feelings.

Also, off topic will happen every day. It's recuperation. It's a law.

You guys try to focus on something this big without a break. I dare you.

Because counting the first thread, page 714 will technically be page 3000.

Dont try and run Epyon off, he's fine. He's the only civil opponent we have right now. The other Anti-IT that show up in here usually just say things like "yeah we have enough evidence to abandon IT now", or "IT is wrong lol".

Hmm.  Perhaps Hock had the original and the people in ME3 had prints?

I don't mean to run him off.  I'm simply asking him a question the answer to which will help to support or counter a theory that BleedingUranium came up with that I believe in.

Wait, so should I prepare for page 714, because technically it will be page 3000 of both threads, because they are the same. Or should I prepare for thread 1000 of this page? *english begins to fail*

*thinks about conclusion*

*head explodes*

Maybe.  But its such abstract art that I doubt its very popular.  Could be wrong, but it is another connection to something Shepard saw earlier on appearing in London.

Yeah I feel what happened a few pages ago has long been coming. But now back to serious cause no one wants this topic closed. :crying: Except haters, but who cares about them?

Does anyone have anything new to add to the IT that no one has heard yet? The post about how the beam could be an indoctrination device was genius. ^_^ We need another idea like that to boost this topic. Ideas?

Oh, just his theory that the main reason that most Anti-ITers seem to refuse to listen to any of the stuff we say is because they hate Bioware and refuse to consider that they may actually be pulling off the GREATEST ENDING IN GAME HISTORY!!!!

Woot!  Cake for everyone!  Oh, and Krogan Crunch.  'Cause we ALL want to eat the cereal of Admiral Anderson just like Kai Leng. :pinched:

Edit: Also, a friend of mine suggested that it might be SalariOs, which I thought was brilliant, too.

Agreed.  Still, there's no predicting art.  At least for me.  Look at that painting "The Scream."  Thing sold for 120 million dollars.  If I had a kid and he brought something like that home from art class, I'd take him to the doctor to see what the hell's wrong with him.

We have a barely-tapped gold mine of speculation and random theorizing we can engage in regarding when and to what extent the hallucination starts. Keep in mind we have evidence to support things being wrong on Cronos station, so everything is essentially fair game from that point on.

I like the idea that was suggested earlier that perhaps Shepard is laid out unconscious somewhere, probably under medical care, for the entirety of the London sequence we have now, and that the "final" conversations he has with his squadmates and important people are just interpretations of things they are saying to him while he is knocked out. Similar to what happens to your dreams if you fall asleep with the TV on. You get some weird amalgamation of what's running through your mind and what you're hearing from the outside world.
