Exactly. When people see hope and trust as a weakness, it's usually because they've been burned too many times before. But shelling up and protecting yourself against hurt in that fashion is no way to live. If you've been burned, you just havent put your trust and faith in the right people. It's like love. If love has never worked out for you and only caused you pain, you dont stop trying to love. That only makes things worse and makes happiness and satisfaction impossible.
Maybe I'm going too deep into this, but it's all true really. There is a lot of psychology involved with the fan reaction we've seen from all this.

Sovereign's voice ?Rifneno wrote...
That whole scene reeked of indoctrination. There's a weird screen shake going on the whole conversation. Plus, the Reaper speaks in Sovereign's voice. Granted we've only heard two Reapers speak (Sovereign and Harbinger) but they had different voices. Why does this Destroyer have the voice of the Capital Ship vanguard? Sovereign's music is even playing in the background. And while Shepard and the Reaper discuss how it is or isn't possible for organics and machines to co-exist, Tali and Legion sitting nearby don't say a word. Tali and Legion have nothing to say on that topic?
I call shenanigans.
I don't think so, Sovereign's voice was different to the Destroyer's.

So guys, you know that poker table which is almost never used aboard the Nomandy.
Well I think it could be cool if the epilog of ME3 had Shepard and every surviving squadmate sit down around it for a game, complete with dialogue choices and Ren/Para interupts. In fact why stop at just the squad? In fact why stop there, have tem rig up a few extra tables in the mess room and then have Shepard and every squadmate, former and current come over for one giant poker (or whatever) session.
Here is just some ideas for it:
Javik with the Prothean stance on games of chance would stand of in the background with a look of disdain. However a para/rene persuasion would make him join the game and not long after he is rubbing shoulders (litterally) with the people near him using his prothean ability to find out if those near him are bluffing.
Jack would sit leaned back with crossed arms, a smirk upon her face as the cards hover in front of her through Biotics.
EDI would stand behind Joker (nobody would ever let a computer of her capacity play if they actually wanted to win) giving im good tips, much to everyone else dismay.
Kasumi could disappear for a moment during some distraction and Zaeed remarking that she went somewhere else. Moments later she comes back (after checking out everyones cards) sits down at the table and hands Zaeed a note or something else telling him what everyone has while he gives her a bit of cash.
Samara could be asked what her code says about game like this and the answer would probably be something about how she can only dish out Justice if there is actually something that needs to be judged.
Vega would remark how hard it is to read the faces of all these aliens as he does not know what expression means what.
Tali would have the best poker face ever.
Chakwas would offer a round of Brandy.
Cant think of any more right now.
Seriusly i would kill to see a scene like this play out in the epilog. Just all these characters we love sitting together around the same table relaxing after the galaxy has been saved.

01/10/2011 - Scientists on Mars Assess New Chamber in Prothean Ruins“Controversy brews tonight as scientists on Mars assess the contents of a newly opened chamber in the Prothean ruins. The opening has been a dream of exoarchaeologists for decades, delayed by the many steps necessary to replicate Prothean code keys and crack the cryptography for entry. Critics say the Milky Way Foundation, which provided supercomputers for the cryptanalysis, could hoard any Prothean discoveries. Dr. Unira T'Lam, liaison from the Citadel Committee on Paleotechnology, says she's been kept in the dark. "Foundation personnel have orchestrated a security system that keeps out everyone except a select cabal," she accuses. "Anything could be taken from inside and we'd never know." Dr. Ilsa Warren, who heads the analysis unit, dismisses the allegation. "We've made it clear all technology stays in situ throughout the cataloging and analysis process, which could take years," she says. "Dr. T'Lam's fears would be more appropriate closer to the end of the decade."”
That provides a satisfactory face-value explanation for why the Crucible plans werent found until now. But I'm still leaning heavily towards it being a Reaper trap or contingency rather than what we believe it to be. If it were a mass accelerator or something similar, we would surely be able to determine that.

When asked to play, Garrus would ask if it could wait a while, as he is in the middle of some calibrations. Because some things never change.
Everyone lets Wrex win, because they all know krogan will rip off their arms if they lose.
Shep and Liara wouldnt actually play, as they'd be busy.... 'celebrating' elsewhere.

Not necesarily. If it as i theorize it might do, turns the Citadel into the Mass Accelerator cannon by reconfiguring the Citadel relay then it is feasible it would b impossible to know before you connect it.
But it is good point none the less as we with all those sciencetist working on the Crucible should have some idea of what it does if it in itself was the weapon. To me it is almost dead certain that the Citadel is what is really gonna determine the affect (whatever it is) as that would explian why we dont know what it will do.

If you think about it, it may be rather foolhardy to assume the Crucible even connects to the Citadel in the fashion we see, considering that is a part of Shepard's hallucination sequence. I suppose it's possible that the correct fashion of connection was planted into his mind by the Reapers, but I still think we're drawing assumptions in some areas where we probably shouldnt.

An extended epilogue to reveal the impact of Shepard's choices on the future of the galaxy.
To reveal the impact of Shepard's choices.
Impact of Shepard's choices.
Shepard's choices.
Ending choices perhaps? (Control, Synthesis, Destroy)
Just something I thought of. If this leak is true, then you could read this as saying the EC will reveal what really happens after Shepard either chooses Control, Synthesis, or Destroy.
Or it could be referring to saving the Rachni, Curing the Genophage, etc.
Personally, I hope it does both.

I dont think there is a way to see them, actually.

Do we know that they're actually counting the overall scores from the weekend events and not just giving us the "right" answer each time to advance us towards our ultimate plot point of the "take back earth" multiplayer DLC?

Except his EC 'leaked info' is basically just paraphrasing what the EC has already been described as.
And on top of that, his other leak was just MP stuff, so I'd assume he's a beta tester or something. The multiplayer and single player stuff is done by different groups, so I dont see why a person involved in the multiplayer portion would get advance info on the EC.

I'm not questioning whether its true, I simply said 'if' it was. Assuming its true, the words are interesting. And not really a paraphrase of the press release. As I already said, the PR had no mention of choices or the future of the galaxy.
Could it have been made up? Sure. But that was not what I was getting at.
