You're not really pointing out anything that we didnt already know. Plus you're calling it a slug, which it isnt, because it changes paths and homes in. Slugs dont do that.

Additionally, I'm going to stick with my stance that it makes more sense to go with the explanation that fits existing lore rather than having to make up new lore excuses for why what we see is unprecedented.

Dont get me wrong, I was perfectly willing to accept that it was just cinematic effect and creative liberty overriding the lore, until we started uncovering a ton of other things that are "off" about London. That makes me inclined to think this particular tidbit is part of a pattern rather than a necessary evil.

Is a giant laser less silly than what the crucible is now though? Some swiss army knife of multi-colored impossibilities?

That's like saying a clown is less silly than a mime. Not making a very strong point... :P

Giant super weapons exist in ME lore though, as is evidenced by that one planet that has a huge gash on it....

You're saying we can use a tidbit of lore from a planet description as justification for an uninspired conclusion to the series?

Yes, it's just my opinion though.

I'm relieved you made it back here in one piece.  :P:D

Me too but it wasn't that bad. I didn't express support for IT until I noticed I was in the other thread.

Giant super weapons are in the ME lore Hellish, evidenced by that one planet with the huge gash. I just need you to admit that it's less silly than what the crucible is at face value....

Well I've seen the cain change direction even if it was small and rare. I haven't seen most of what's off about London but I just don't think this qualifies as one of those.

Shepard is Goku, Harbinger is Vegeta, and Crucible + Citadel is a giant Kamehameha.

Yeah, no thanks, I'll go with Reaper trap....

Well I didn't get that because I think that clowns are MORE silly. Even the codex assumed that it was going to be a giant space cannon.

The fact that you can even see the Cain's shot in either game bugs me.

The huge explosion comes from the fact that the slug is going 5 kilometers per second. At that speed you really shouldnt be able to see it at all.

Well, flip it around then and you have your version of my take on the issue.

Simile aside, I simply think that while it being a super weapon makes more sense than what we see, it still makes far less sense than other possibilities we have come up with.

I agree. The explosion should be instant, with no visible projectile of any sort.

Right but the Cain's slug has always been visible. That's a slip up on Bioware's part to be honest.

Flipped and agreed, giant super weapon is extremely silly but at least plausible. Reaper trap makes the most sense to me as well...

I know!

Although, I miss the old days when being a sponsor meant I got the new episodes on Friday and everyone else got them on Monday.

I'm not sure if those are the correct days, to be honest, I just know I got new episodes a few days early instead of two hours early.

5km PER SECOND? Do you realize that the force of it launching would smash shepard to pieces?
