How about a little less idiocy and a little more tolerance, huh, bro?

A bit too sensitive?

Man you guys have turned IT into a religion or something.

Yeah, I third this.  It's VERY likely that the devs would have watched Blade Runner, so they would know what's what.  I wonder where they stand on that particular debate?

if he is not on earth, than is the Citadel now made of cement and Rebar and just covered in Metal? because if that is the case then why have it with Mass Effect fields? to keep it afloat? no need in space. to give people an atmosphere? that is part of it, but ME fields are mainly used to protect Ships and Stations from ship fire. so, why would the council okay the use of a primitive building material to repair the Station? or did they use Cement and Rebar on the Crucible, even though it is a stupid idea?

Remember, he's on Earth because HE WAS NEVER ON THE CITADEL IN THE FIRST PLACE.  That's why there's concrete/cement and rebar in the Breath Scene.

There's no need for this. If you don't have anything to say about the matter other than you don't believe it then you need to find something else to do.

Otherwise, let's keep this about actually proving or disproving IT.

Alright, a little off topic, but I just finished Deus Ex human revolution.

Best game/story of 2011.

Hell, yeah!

I don't deny that it was a great game, but I would humbly suggest that Batman: Arkham City was superior.

Edit: Until I played Arkham City, Deus Ex, might have been my favorite game from last year.  However, it was a strong year for gaming, and I don't necessarily like to declare that one game was THE best from last year.  Almost all the major releases that year succeeded in what they were trying to accomplish.

Deus Ex: HR actually run decently on my 5-year-old PC so it was the best. Period. Posted Image

I absolutely loved the story. I loved the combat and stealth system. Those killing cutscenes looked freaking awesome. And crawling behind desks with FEMA soldiers scanning the area in Vancouver was a one in its kind experience.

Well, that IS a good reason for you to think it is best. :)  I'm curious, have you ever played a game called Alpha Protocol?  It's kind of like Deus Ex, but with a spy theme.  It wasn't the most polished game (Obviously, it was made by Obsidian. ;)), but I thought it was fun.

Yeah, I haven't finished it. I really should. It doesn't stand a chance in comparison with DX: HR though.

I don't claim that it's anywhere near DX: HR.  I just think it's a fun game, if you can look past the slightly clunky gunplay and the myriad of bugs and glitches (Like I said, it's made by Obsidian.  If you don't expect bugs and glitches from one of their games, you're definitely going to be disappointed.).

I remember the trailers wet my appetite but when I first played Alpha Protocol the controls seemed tedious and nowhere near the Space Bar genius in Mass Effect (yes, I support that feature very much).

Obsidian also made Fallout: New Vegas. An extremely climatic game if you ask me. I hated those long travels through the Mojave desert.

Eh, I've been playing Fallout 3 a little bit, and I'm not really sure how I feel about it.  Part of me says that it's pretty atmospheric, but another part of me says that the gunplay is clunky and the game seems to lack drive.  Although, the experience of frenzying the Fire Ant Queen and then killing her with a COMBAT KNIFE while she was distracted by a robot is something I don't think ANY game will EVER let me repeat.

I played Fallout 3 a few years ago so I don't quite remember the details but the combat system that freezes the action before you are attacked and allows you to choose how many rounds, at whom and from what weapon you want to fire made me like the game a great deal. The combat cutscenes were rather monotonous though. You are aware that New Vegas is a different game than Fallout 3?

I just have a question to the few that have followed this for awhile. Could you tell me the guy's name that posted the photos a few days ago about the similarities in the apartment on Priority Earth? I'm working on a fully explained theory on the lead up to the "Indoctrinate dream" in support of the origional IT, and I want to give credit/see if he or she has anything else that can help.

Yes, I'm very well aware of that, I'm just saying that I'm guessing they're pretty similar (Please correct me if I'm wrong.), so I'm using my experiences from one to gauge what my reaction would likely be to the other.  I'll admit, watching the VATS at work was kind of cool, at least at first.  However, when your AP are recharging, you have to shoot normally.  The execution of this is what I take issue with.

If IT is not proven by the EC, I'm willing to bet IT-believers will start saying that the EC was just an extended indoctrination attempt.

And I'm pretty sure if it is proven all the anti-IT believers will start howling with rage.

Though considering most of them already are, I don't see a downside.

Generalisations are fun!

LOL

Oh my god. When the EC comes out and disproves the IT, reading back on this thread will be HILARIOUS.

Ditto when its proven.  See, whatever you say can be thrown right back at you.

Needless to say, this is an IT thread.  You're not going to find many supporters here, especially if all you're going to say is 'lol its wrong'.  Lazy thinking isn't productive.

Edit: Not to mention using the 'you're turning IT into a religion!' line is both nonsensical and dogmatic in of itself.  Silliness ahoy.

They are very very different. The default color for Fallout 3 is green whereas the one for New Vegas is orange. Other than that NV is superficially the same as Fallout 3 (correct me if I'm wrong on this one).

Plenty.

He's in basically the same spot as when Harbinger's beam knocks Shepard out (very similar concrete ground, possibly similar shapes in the mists (mostly debris for wreckages, and maybe a Reaper object).

Same burned up armour as after being hit by the beam, no visible bullet wound.

The impossibility of surviving falling from the citadel and not being a pile of pulped bloody flesh.

The impossibility of teleporting back down, due to the distance back towards the beam (not that you even see if after being dropped in the dark hallway anyway, so going back seems impossible) and the fact teleporters have never been shown to exist in any other form or location, or even mentioned in passing.

All the surreal stuff that goes on during the Citadel scenes (too many to mention) suggest its all a dream.  So when was the last time Shepard was knocked out?  On Earth.
