The links weren't working for me when I originally clicked them but if you copy and paste the link they work for some reason.

Ok, I see them now. You have to fly cam to see the other side of that chopper. They make the backwards numbers obvious in the ending.

Epyon, try using imageshack. That's what I've been using and it works well.

I'm curious.  Can you fly cam around the Hades Cannon at the beginning of Priority Earth?  I don't have anything special in mind, but given the oddness in which that thing was defeated it might be worth a look.

I did this earlier today. I don't know which page number it's on.

I can never keep up with this thread even though I visit it multiple times a day...

Now is a good time to catch up since it is moving so slow. Also there was a lot of off-topic stuff you can skip.

Well, at least I enjoyed catching up with today's off topic-ness much more than yesterday's. :P

BTW @Arian forgot to tell you before but I really like your Freudian analysis of Shep, TIM, and Anderson!

It's basically Dwailing's idea with the names swapped, he deserves the credit.

I'd like to know the specifics on why they need two models in essentially the same scene. Doubt this has anything to do with IT.

Epyon, if you're still here and still flycaming, will you check at the beginning to see when and why the garden with the child disappears?

Edit: Oh, sorry, I just noticed that Prettz did this already.

I'm gonna go with "oops"
But possible they needed one to replace Anderson with torn-uniform Anderson for some reason. Maybe his character bugged out without it,

Ok, a little update on London. I've been working with Hellish on this but he's a ways out from London to verify. We may as well get other people looking into this to back up the findings.

It's looking more and more like some of London is a 'waking dream' as suggested a while back. Enough so that it could explain the oddities we see right from the first foot falls at the Hades cannon.

The first screen bob: Not sure why we get this on the loadout screen prior to the first half - or I guess 3/4ths of the push, but it does not occur again at all from what I can tell until after the truck crashes. However, the screen bob is present during the entire run down the hill to the beam until the harbinger hit. It's obviously there after, but IIRC only until Shep 'wakes up' on the Citadel.

Weapon bob: If this refers to the screen bob, then ok. If it refers to the slight movement of the weapon itself; this happens throughout the entire game. It's more realism than a clue. Try to hold anything in your hands stretch out for any period of time without it moving a bit.

So, this leads me to believe that the truck crash is the start of the full on unconscious/comatose portion of the Indoctrination process. It does not rule out Shep being inside some virtual environment as far back as Cronos, but what we can tell is things flat out get really bad at the truck. Perhaps, the oddities are Sheps subconscious trying to break out of some sort of Reaper virtual environment. We really can't know for sure.

If anyone else ever comes across entire screen bob at any point of the game, try to make notes on Sheps mental health... confidence, conviction, strength of will, at the time. I've noticed when Shep is under pressure and less than confident based on dialog responses, (s)he will have labored breathing on missions even when standing still. I have video of this so if there is enough interest I'll post it on youtube. It's not a bug or a glitch as far as I can tell. It's happened to me a number of times in a number of places.

So the question is, does a highly confident Shep show signs of breaking down a possible illusion/virtual environment?

The odd instant cut (not fade) to black at the truck crash had bugged me since day one... and then seeing everyone out of the truck is unique as well. Shep has been close to unconsciousness a number of time and this has never happened. Not even in Arrival. The only other time I can think of something close to this happening was at the beginning of ME2. Both times at the Lazerus facility. Even those were a fade in from black akin to waking up.

Scavenging: After leaving the LZ, as far as I remember, other than a heavy weapon, there is not one thing available for pickup. No weapons, no mods, no money. Nothing save health. You don't even get experience from the datapads. I think you get kill count experience though. Someone please correct/verify.

404 Error. Page Not Found.

(and yes I pulled this gag on my mother once, wrote 404 Error on the toilet paper and rolled it back up. She laughed herself sick at that one, still has the roll actually.)

So, after hearing a lot of you - especially byne - extol the virtues of Red vs Blue, I decided to give it a shot,  I watched all 9+ seasons in the past week or so.  Damn, it's really, really awesome.  They keep telling the same basic jokes over and over, yet somehow they're still fresh and hilarious,  I seriously love all of the reds and blues, especially Sarge!  And the Project Freelancer stuff is pretty cool too.  Good call, everybody (or at least everybody who likes it and has talked about it in this thread!)!:D

Also, *****SPOILER ALERT**** I really hope that Donut doesn't stay dead.  I miss him and his thinly-veiled homoerotic double entendres!:crying:

Episode 3 of season 10 came out tonight, actually.

Also, the best Blue is Tucker, and the best Red is Grif. You may have opinions to the contrary, but you'd be wrong.

Remember in season 8, when Caboose put everyone into recovery mode? In the sponsor version of the episode where they get released from recovery mode, they cut to Valhalla, and Donut woke up too, so he was apparently just in recovery mode the whole time.

About to start Priority: Cerberus HQ now on my 2nd playthrough, so I will keep an eye out. :)

I always thought that heavy breathing (sound from when you're sprinting) was a glitch. It has happened to me a few times, the only ones I can specifically remember were Tuchanka on the road/ruins, and in the docking tube leading to the geth dreadnought. These both occurred on my second playthrough, and I don't remember them happening on my first. I think I would have because it was really annoying, and I had to load it to stop it. I'm curious what makes you or others think it's not a glitch?

Also, I'm already maxed out on level so I can't tell you if you get XP anywhere in London.

Thinking again on the entire ending sequence being a puzzle. I was trying to find something about Zorya (the planet that looks a little too similar to the jungle/paradise planet), played through it recently for Zaeed's loyalty mission in 2. Nothing really complex stood out, cept for a piece of machinery with M384, or 385 I forget which, written on it  but that pops up several times on side missions and even in ME3 randomly.

The only other significant thing that I could draw some tangible line out of was what Zaeed said concerning getting shot in the head, "A stubborn enough person can survive just about anything."

For anyone who missed it, someone posted a very interesting facts document on infrasound yesterday:

http://www.lowertheb.../infrasound.htm

Just up again and going through the threat when i saw this. Interesting read and especially one part caught my eye:

"1 - 10 Cycles Per Second (Hz) - "Lethal infrasonic pitch
lies in the 7 cycle range. Small amplitude increases affect human behavior
in this range. Intellectual activity is first inhibited, blocked, and then
destroyed
. As the amplitude is increased, several disconcerting responses
have been noted. These responses begin a complete neurological interference.
The action of the medulla is physiologically blocked, its autonomic functions
cease." (source; the Sonic Weapon of Vladimir Gavreau, by Gerry Vassilatos)"

The highlighted part is interesting when compared to the codex on Indoctrination.

"Long-term physical effects of the manipulation are unsustainable. Higher
mental functioning decays
, ultimately leaving the victim a gibbering
animal. Rapid indoctrination is possible, but causes this decay in days
or weeks. Slow, patient indoctrination allows the thrall to last for
months or years."

Just wanted to point that out again since it is an interesting link.

Funny thing: I got the heavy breathing thing in the hanger of Cerberus HQ. Didn't notice it at first, so I don't know when it started, but noticed it before going up to the 2nd floor. The weird thing was that it was quieter than normal (maybe why I couldn't hear it over the fight), and I was forced to load for not reaching the panel on time, and still heard it. After the panel and killing the wave of Cerberus mooks, the breathing sounded louder, like it does when you sprint. I saved, loaded, and it was gone. Kinda weird, and I'm almost wondering if I'm hearing things.
