I think given that it's unverified and not experienced by the majority of users posting in this thread, the EDI/destroy glitch/clue shouldn't be considered as evidence. I trust Estebanus, but we simply cannot, in the name of rigorous analysis, support that as a legitimate clue. Not without visual evidence or significant eye witnesses testimonies.

So let's talk about defense mechanisms, in particular, denial. We all agree, the ending was terrible, nonsensical and inconclusive. What it came down to was most people accepting that the ending was tragically awful and battering BIOWARE for a remake or a fix, etc, etc, etc. And then of course there are the people that went off the deep end, compiled an obsessive amount of details in order to create a fantastical ending to replace to the real one because they can't accept their own disappointment at the ending of the franchise.

So basically IT-lers try to get over their grief by being constructive, creative and optimistic, instead of giving in to endless hatred, cynism and defeatism?

This may lead to more disapointement in the end maybe, but at least IT-lers can claim one thing: They proofed that Bioware could have been so much better if they had actually tried...and for me, It-lers have won even if IT is never confirmed, because IT and everything about it is way superior than any literal explanation of teh current endings...and could lead to a far more worthy ending of the series, based on the Mass Effect Lore...

No, what I said was that ITers dealt with their grief with denial, which is the first stage.

Can you please tell me what we're denying, exactly? We all admit that if taken literally the endings suck harder than anything has sucked in a long time. No denial there.

I disargee. I've read many comments that say something like "I hope that IT is true, so I believe it." We are in that uncomfortable position that is easy to attack. But that doesn't tell us anything about the validity of the theory. So let's stick to discussing the evidence and not the possible motivations.

@GloryToChaos:
As I understand, the entire ending is a hallucination, which means there is no stargazer. The Normandy didn't crash. The galaxy isn't saved.
I would agree that there are lots of speculations about tiny details that seem too far fetched. But that's because the core evidence has been discussed to death in the last 3 months. Take a look at this.

Aww, I'm not on the list. :(. Hope I am on the updated one.

The new list is like twice as long, I'm trying to find it right now.

I looked yesterday, and it took me forever on my phone.  Been with the group since the beginning, just want to make sure we all get credit.  Best way I can help.  :D Good thing I'm patient.

It's somewhere in this thread or maybe Arian posted it on a discussion board in our group.

I see our latest troll is of the "It cant be true if it isnt served to us on a silver platter accompanied by a complimentary Cliffs Notes" variety.

...and he's using my icon. Damnit!

How about removing "cynic" from my name?, I.T is something I subscribe to, but I'm not going to flat out state that's Bioware's plan, I get a little annoyed when I see people state things as if they have insider information.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you are, even though I'm seen as indoctrinationist.

I hate it when people say that the IT is 100% true. I really just hate it.

Hey guys, I'm back. And I think I have bad news.

The cooling fan on my laptop has died.

Which for those of you who know how hot a laptop gets, is very very bad.

Anyone know a way to help?

What kind of laptop is? it can be fixed with some models...

If not might as well get a new one... i recently got a Acer timeline X with nvidea optimus For 800$ a few months ago.

Can run crysis o very high
Surprisingly thin
8hr+ battery.

Just a suggestion.....

This machine is still under warranty.

Due to an unconscionable degree of suck, I am going to have to send it to a service center.

Since I live in Alaska, and Hewlett Packard sucks, even though the population here rivals that of the largest city in Montana, due to not being in the lower 48 I have to mail it there.

Even though they are footing the bill since the fan was faulty and it was their **** up, I now will not have the option to collect my computer before I leave town.

Meaning that more than is likely, I will be completely off the grid for the next week.

This sucks.

This really REALLY sucks.

This sucks so much I can't even describe the quantities of suckitude.

Right now the only thing I even have access to is my old, nearly 7 year old machine. Which has difficulty running GIFS.

That kinda what I think as well.  It is obviously a message, but because it takes place so far in the future, it also could be real once we beat the reapers.  It just depends I guess.  But yeah, it real, and also a message in my book.

I think that he was simply indifferent until the day came when we collectively chose not to subscribe to his theory that Shepard was on the Crucible. Nevermind the fact that his theory is rooted within the face value context, which is not the topicality here in the first place. After that, he officially declared himself Anti-IT.

Anyway Lex0r. The Memorial Wall can be found in it's entirety on page 335 of this thread.

It may need a bit of formatting. If you could do that for the rest of us, that would be most kind.

For anyone interested, Arian's "IT Memorial Wall" post can be found here:

http://social.biowar...ex/12047832/335

Don't think that this is the "final" version of it...but I haven't found it yet.

Edit:  I see that I have been Posted Image'd again...

@Arian:  Is that the final?  I saw the original post and the later post saying that it would be updated...but I assumed that it was not done (since I can't seem to find myself at all - and I could have sworn that I made a few meager attempts at involving myself in the discussion on the old thread - but it wouldn't be the first (or last) time I was wrong...okay enough of my parenthetical rant).
