+1 for this, although you've just made my wall of text [math] on the matter seem redundant by being so damn eloquent.
Although for whatever reason if you want more proof on how hard it would be for Shep to survive, here’s a detailed breakdown of what he would need to sustain to get back to earth. Space Jump [Warning: It’s really, really long]
It's possible to argue agaisnt my list but it requires a LOT of speculation and conjecture and supposition and a lot of other big words I don't feel liek looking up. Example "It's possible Shepard was blown away from the Destroy tube by the explosion onto an elevator then blown further by the force fo the red wave onto a shuttle, THEN that shuttle was forced the by the Citadel explosion into re-entry, where it mostly burned up (that's why it's not in breath scene cuz its vaporized) and whatever was left to impact with London was dispersed, leaving Shepard mostly intact to take a breath." That is an example of a leap on top of a leap on top of a leap in logic. Even IF it was true Shepard would still need to survive the initial tube explosion + the Red Wave that destroys his/her synthetics.
Hopefully that list can quell some of the face-value reasons why Shepard could survive, thinking about putting it in my sig but it's pretty full already.

Especially because, as we mentioned before, it KILLED Shep the first time, and that was in full armour with no explosion.

I still think Shepard quickly entering "IDDQD" or "IDCLEV londonearth" after destroying the tube are more plausible
EDIT: Did I just show my age?

It's funny how a lot of the literalists I've come accross on MP use Shepard's fall on Alchera as evidence that he could survive at the end of ME3 ... they shut up pretty quickly when you point out that Shepard did not survive his fall at the start of ME2, hence the lazarus project.

Could have just charged at the Reapers and had someone working the keyboard hitting "IDKFA" as the weapon stocks ran low too.....come to think of it, I don't think I've ever beaten hitler in a powersuit without it.....admitedly I was only about 7 at the time though...

AN addendum to your point Gunslinger, the destroy tube alone would be enough to kill him, since we have already seen on Insanity a single grenade, sometimes even WITH Kinetic barriers up is enough to kill Shepard, the Destroy tube is far larger than a grenade.

Ediited the list to include the force of the tube. Much larger than a grenade yes and enough of an explosive reaction to kickstart a red wave of synthetic-death.
Are you uh, wearing your sunglasses at night?

Yep, my eyes are extremely sensitive to light, a fact I hate and so I'm wearing these, luckily, despite all that I have 20/20 vision and these are just dark enough to make light bearable so I can see perfectly, and even type wearing them.

That's very interesing. I don't think you can even get a carnifex in one, but the model existed...

The Illusive Man was well aware of an interesting phenomenon. The
smarter someone was, the easier it was to make them believe a complex
lie. The simple-minded focused on holes in the story; they needed an
explanation for every loose end. The intelligent filled in the holes
themselves, using logic, reason, and creative thinking to weave the
threads together into a perfect tapestry of deception.
This blogger here also spotted it.

I told you so: Carnifex=execution.
Carnifex= executioner in Latin.
Carnifex is used in scenes where someone is executed!

But there's a difference there. TIM picks Anderson's weapon (the Predator), so it's not his own weapon. The executioner in this case is TIM himself.

TIM can't make his gun morph into others to suit the situation? Pfft. What a n00b.

Looks like it to me but I can't be sure. If it is it means Saren switches guns over the course of the game, if it wasn't symbolic, why wouldn't he have a consistent weapon?
